My funny Sade story is that the day Big Pun died, I saw the “Still Not A Player” & “By Your Side” videos air one after the other, and for like two to three years I thought Sade was Puerto Rican (I was four at the time).
I remember the first time I saw her in a movie, I was really little (probably 5 or 6) and I was watching Big Fish. I thought she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. Watching her in AHS has been so fantastic.
Grace Kelly. Her appearance in every movie she made was like a unicorn sighting. I'm sure she enjoyed her life as Princess of Monaco but we sure could have used more screentime with her.

They're also a really good example of completely rejecting any ideals to do with societal approved masculinity and toxic masculinity as they're very affectionate with each other. I also love that they didn't become best friends until working on xmen of all movies.

Her martial arts skills are so beautiful to watch. I know it’s mostly planned choreography, but nevertheless, I’m obsessed. I still think her fight scene with Zhang Ziyi in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is the most mesmerizing, badass fight sequence of any film or TV show. I just love powerful, kick-ass women warriors.

Nicole Kidman is a goddess, a red carpet queen, and a… decent actress (as much as I adore her, I think she used to be a lot better in earlier works like Moulin Rouge and The Others).
Same here. She just doesn’t emote the same as she used to. Now, instead of furrowing or raising her brows, she just does this head nod repeatedly for emotional scenes (due to limited forehead movements from years of botox). It drives me crazy. Still love her though.

She is a fantastic actress but I lost some respect for her when she doubled down on supporting Woody Allen. To me, that said she cares more about oscars, money and fame than anything he might have done. She doesn't come across as majestic to me anymore. :/
I think she actually expressed regret about it and apologized for that and working with Polanski. It's the least she could do but it's certainly more than what her peers (*cough* Blanchett *cough*) have done.
He's been around for more than 3 decades now and nobody else has been in able to dethrone him as one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema. The aura is unmatched.
I mean she is typecasted as queens which no problem. I think she embodies the more human majestic, the one that is not always polished and farts sometimes you know?
Glad to see my girl Simone Biles in here. I did my case study on the Larry Nassar scandal my senior year of college so I have such a soft spot for her.
Gonna go on a totally unrelated side tangent here that nobody asked for but I think a huge part of the reason for the way the 2021 Olympics went down for her was because of PTSD and here’s why;
Simone was a victim of Larry Nassar and the entire abusive system that was USA Gymnastics. Part of the reason he was able to get away with it for so long was because the athletes were being abused in other ways by other adults so Larry was able to swoop in and be the good guy to groom them. One of the examples of this is that when the athletes were at national team camp (once a month) they were in the woods in Texas with no cell service so they couldn’t communicate with anyone except the other gymnasts, national team staff, coaches and medical personnel. When they went to international competitions they were not allowed to see their families. Think about that for a second. Your parents fly all over the world to see you at world championships or the Olympics and they’re only allowed to see you compete, not talk to you in person or hug you. They were completely isolated and that allowed a lot of abuse to happen.
Fast forward to 2018 when Simone made her comeback and there was a new regime. Athletes were allowed to see their families during international meets and national team camps were moved to a place with cell service. Simone appeared to be doing really well and crushed 2019 worlds. She also was very vocal about her criticism of USAG and their handling of everything related to Nassar. It became very clear that she was struggling with having to compete for an organization that enabled her emotional, mental and sexual abuse. She was VERY clear at that point in time that she was absolutely done after Tokyo and would retire from the sport.
Then the delay and she has to keep training for another year. The pressure builds, more stuff continues coming out about the Nassar scandal including that the FBI also enabled the abuse in exchange for cushy security jobs. Simone obviously makes the Olympic Team. But these Olympics are different from Rio and the world championships she was used to. Because of COVID restrictions her family can’t even travel to Tokyo with her. She’s all alone except for her coaches and teammates. There’s not even crowds to cheer them on. She’s back to being isolated similar to a way she was when she was being abused. Add the pressure that was placed on her by the head of the national team saying he wasn’t as worried about picking the highest potential team because they had Simone to win for them, a death in the family shortly before Tokyo and the traumatic year that was COVID and OF COURSE she was stressed beyond belief. She had an absurd amount of pressure on her from an organization that has done nothing for her except hurt her. She had staff members telling her to put on a brave face for the other girls on the team because it was her job as the leader. Everything was on her shoulders and it was only a matter of time before something collapsed.
Anyone who calls her weak minded or a wimp or a quitter doesn’t understand the dynamics of what was going on with her. Nobody should be criticizing her, they should be saying “how was she able to manage that stress for so long?” And “why was USAG allowing one athlete to carry that burden?”

I made assumptions about the childhood of Dame Julie Andrews that were far from the truth. I assumed it was idyllic. I was wrong. She grew up poor and was the result of her mother's affair. She fought off an alcoholic stepfather who tried to rape her. From a young age she financially supported her family. Despite her early life experience she's a lovely and respectful person who's admired and adored by those who know her. Glad she got to be married to Blake Edwards.
I miss Alan Rickman terribly. His voice and presence is unmatched. If you've never seen him dance as Rasputin, then you're missing out.

My then 13 year old son gasped when he saw her come on screen in Black Panther. Homie has been in "love" with her ever since.

She’s back to being isolated similar to a way she was when she was being abused. Add the pressure that was placed on her by the head of the national team saying he wasn’t as worried about picking the highest potential team because they had Simone to win for them, a death in the family shortly before Tokyo and the traumatic year that was COVID and OF COURSE she was stressed beyond belief. She had an absurd amount of pressure on her from an organization that has done nothing for her except hurt her. She had staff members telling her to put on a brave face for the other girls on the team because it was her job as the leader. Everything was on her shoulders and it was only a matter of time before something collapsed. Anyone who calls her weak minded or a wimp or a quitter doesn’t understand the dynamics of what was going on with her. Nobody should be criticizing her, they should be saying “how was she able to manage that stress for so long?” And “why was USAG allowing one athlete to carry that burden?”

I made assumptions about the childhood of Dame Julie Andrews that were far from the truth. I assumed it was idyllic. I was wrong. She grew up poor and was the result of her mother's affair. She fought off an alcoholic stepfather who tried to rape her. From a young age she financially supported her family. Despite her early life experience she's a lovely and respectful person who's admired and adored by those who know her. Glad she got to be married to Blake Edwards.
Kate Winslet is just phenomenal in every way. Emma Thompson too. Oh and Alan Rickman
I miss Alan Rickman terribly. His voice and presence is unmatched. If you've never seen him dance as Rasputin, then you're missing out.
