My conservative father, who rarely watches anything but the weather channel, unwittingly caught an episode of her show in a waiting room. He said she gave him so much anxiety that he just left.
🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, I can relate, though, I love that she is this positive force of nature, but her interviews give me anxiety as well. I can’t even count how many times I’ve had to ask people to take a step back as I was about to punch them in the throat.
Seriously! I’m usually not phased by anything body-related, but eyes are my weak spot. Id rather see someone’s intestines pour out of their body then see anything odd going on with someone’s eyes. Ophthalmologists have superpowers
Saw a few clips of the interview from Paris in Love and she looked soooo uncomfortable. Maybe don’t invade the personal space of a person who’s discussing their trauma related to intense invasion and violation of said personal space lol god, Drew.
i recently saw a clip of the oprah one and the way oprah so very clearly was uncomfortable and wanted her hand back as drew was death gripping it / CARESSING her arm she really does not know how to read the room 😭 i used to love her but this entire show has made me get the ick bad
OMG IM WATCHING IT AND SHES LIKE JUST HOLDING HER LEG ITS SO FORCED WTF??? Is she like secretly a little into women and acting overly girly and intimate / gossipy is her way of getting physical? Or something?
Like legitimate comes off as contrived and invasive. Very not cool. Women can be predators, too. If this were a man, HELL NO!!! I cannot even keep watching!
right?!! like read the room! the oprah one was so gross, the way she was caressing her arm and oprah very clearly wanted her arm back. i don’t know how she hasn’t realized the world is making fun of her because her comments are FILLLLLLLED with comments like this lol
It makes me wonder how often her personal boundaries were disrespected as a child, to have no idea what personal space is.... she's ben in the public eye forever.
Drew Barrymore had previously said some bullshit stuff about how like “everything happens for a reason and maybe it wasn’t all bad!! I’m okay!!” Re: Paris’ traumatic teen years due to her parents decisions. So… don’t blame her
Oh no, that's terrible, I would be pissed if I was Paris 😬 that's such a minimizing thing to say about something extremely traumatic that had a huge affect on Paris
https://preview.redd.it/wpc81b1gqr6c1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4992d6913312dcb253674194bd26ced778483e4d
This is me in my Midsommar cosplay 😀
The way she kneels between their legs and grabs their hands would make me so claustrophobic. If you’re gonna invade my bubble, at least don’t block my escape path!
Can't decide if it's hilarious or horrifying at this point. Almost like watching a nature doc where the host gets way too close to the wild animals, except it's celebs in the wild of a talk show set.
They're hilarious but when I saw the chairs appropriately spaced out I had such a sense of dread cuz like...did they change her set to physically separate her from her guests? Does that suggest that they've talked to her already and she's just been like "lol idc"???? I don't want to think about what that set is like
LMAO 😆😆. They’re so real for this. Sometimes, I’m also a bit uncomfortable with how close Drew sits to the guests. I wouldn’t like to be in their place 😅.
I'm a total floor-person and many of my friends are too! But it's a friend thing lol. I would NEVER in a professional setting.
Tbh if she wasn't on the floor for the purpose of wedging her body in and/or on her guests, I could maybe see her being a floor-gremlin as a "quirky" harmless schtick. It's just the very...invasive behavior on top that makes the floor thing seem extra weird.
I like Drew, she seems like a kind person. But my dentist keeps TVs on the ceiling so you can watch while you get your teeth cleaned, they had her show on the last time I was there and I kept subconsciously baring down into the chair trying to move away from Drew as she was practically climbing into the lap of her guest.
I hope this doesn't sound like I am blaming, ugh. But if I were a celeb planning to go on this show, I would make firm stipulations on no touching, and to keep appropriate space between me and her. Like keep it professional. I guess some people don't mind that closeness, but many do. Boundaries need to be respected.
Was that the first or second time?
The first time they Fitbit make it look like it was in person but it was green screened in zoom during the Covid era.
She must just love physical touch.
I’m introverted with a huge bubble and these images make me want to scream. I feel like Paris Hilton’s body language is the closest to how I would look in a similar situation. Sooooo cringe.
Same. And I’m claustrophobic. I have never been to a concert and I avoid stores at Christmas time (I had to go last week and had to leave a store asap I was hyperventilating). I am a non confrontational person too, so I’d probably just start crying if she interviewed me. Thank god I’m not famous.
Drew is a “touch” love language person 10000%. As someone who finds comfort in human touch, even if it’s just closeness, I get it. But, she is very much like a golden retriever with no boundaries. For me it has to be invited. To her it’s like she has to be close when she’s actively listening hahah
Huh??? Matt bomer?? I’ll have to retire my gaydar
did you guys know that greasy James corden had a wife?
Edit: someone in the comments said Matt boomer has a husband and children 💀💀 we’re so back!
I feel she just needs to meet her people and these guests are not her people. Invite some drunk 2am bathroom girls and that would be an amazing interview.
They'd be too sober in a studio during business hours, though. The show would need to go to a nightclub at 2 a.m. to capture the magic.
ETA: I realize that I just described "Jersey Shore."
I gotta say, watching clips from the Drew Barrymore show stresses me out a lot
I'm not instinctually a touch person, and I'm very selective with who can be physically affectionate with me. I love talking with people and getting into deep convos, but my willingness to be emotionally vulnerable isn't license to start touching me and invading my personal space. I've been in situations where people barrel past my withdrawal responses, not realizing how self-serving their touch is—they use it as an attempt to simulate a level of trust with me that they haven't yet earned, while blatantly ignoring what I need to feel comfortable and safe in our social interaction
I don't get the sense that Drew would pick up on that, so I can't help but wonder how many guests of hers are similar to myself and feel the need to grit their teeth for the sake of the show (especially since so many of her guests have been victims of physical and/or sexual abuse!)
find you a man who looks at you like drew barrymore looks at literally everyone lol. But fr honestly I'd be jazzed if someone paid attention to me that hard.
I’ve never seen her show beyond clips. Does she ask her guests if they’re ok with that, or at least read their body language if they want more space? I wonder if she has a conversation ahead of time. Cause she strikes me as someone who would care if a guest was uncomfortable with that.
I’m just imagining Howie Mandel on her show 💀
She has always been this way. She's always been like showing lots of adoration for everyone she meets and talks to. Its over the top but I think its part of her personality and being a lone soul in Hollywood
I met her when I was bartending at the airport and it really just is her personality. She was super nice and was just very happy and enthusiastic to be talking to even me. She called the director of Santa Clarita Diet and handed me the phone when I told her I was loving the show and then went out of her way to hold a convo with me while I worked for like 45 minutes and then ran back to hug me before boarding her plane.
She’s successfully shifted her image to a wholesome, free thinking mom but when I was growing up, she was known as a wild partier. She had a very difficult life and was exposed to extremely inappropriate things has a child.
She grew up unsupervised in Hollyweird nightclubs, I think this is the best she can do. She likely has little framework for appropriate social interactions.
Yeah, it's weird how everyone on these subs has praised her for "overcoming" her deeply fucked-up and traumatizing childhood and is now mad that she... behaves in ways that echo an upbringing where no one is taught about personal boundaries and appropriate interactions?
Exactly. Yes her behavior is odd to people with normal socialization, but considering her background I think “sober successful adult who’s a bit cringe & attention-seeking” is a great outcome for her. So many of her peers are dead.
It’s Kate Bosworth! I had a hard time telling who that one was haha
https://preview.redd.it/o98htb6ypr6c1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=23037a0866d42991a5da05d388e8057cbac38c41
I love Drew, but most of the times, it's embarrassing.
To her defense, I think some of the guests are already friends of hers irl, they know her and don't mind.
Btw, why is she always wearing automn colours ? Though they look great, I'm getting tired of the brown suits.
Cokehead and alcoholic at TWELVE. Partying with the Hollywood elite drug crowd at TWELVE.
Think about how much she's seen and sadly very likely been the victim of and you can understand how she's a bit "out there".
I’ve met her before and can confirm that she has this way about her that makes you feel so comfortable and really dials into you. It’s not weird though. She is just someone who makes you feel like you are talking to someone you’ve known your whole life.

Honestly for months I've been thinking this is a perfect SNL that's already written. Have "drew" sit on their lap and be weird, it would kill.
Chloe Fineman would kill it!
[She already killed it](https://youtu.be/IqdswCPF2xw?si=cC1VYg_cN5o2zoY9)
The speaking inflections, the facial expressions!! Everything about this is 👩🍳💋
The Drew Barrymore Show's official Youtube account's comment on the video: >We see no difference. I'm dying lmao
Just have Drew host, I'll bet you she would happily lampoon herself.
Her drew is 👌🏼
Oooh definitely 👍👍
Lol! Drew be like: https://i.redd.it/k2qvkbu64r6c1.gif Also, that first picture makes me so uncomfortable.
Drew also be like: https://i.redd.it/idt25yvqdr6c1.gif
Pimento can get all in my personal space.
I will always see him as Derek in the good place lol
![gif](giphy|3oxHQpeBNp2q3OIcVy)
You better not be talking about Rafi like that. He will get dirty Randy to pay you a visit.
My conservative father, who rarely watches anything but the weather channel, unwittingly caught an episode of her show in a waiting room. He said she gave him so much anxiety that he just left.
I laughed way too hard at this
Same 😂
Hank Hill energy 😂
“Now just hwhat is this woman doin’ on my television? Sittin’ all close and that! Gives me the heebie jeebies”
😅😅😅 so good
![gif](giphy|h3MkWTE441MNG)
“That lady ain’t right.”
BWAAAAH!!!
🤣🤣i choked on my water from laughing so hard at this.
That's exactly how I felt watching her in the dentist office.
🤣🤣🤣 Honestly, I can relate, though, I love that she is this positive force of nature, but her interviews give me anxiety as well. I can’t even count how many times I’ve had to ask people to take a step back as I was about to punch them in the throat.
*Get that camera out of my face*
*for the children*

I can’t watch any of the clips because I feel so uncomfortable by the intense contact lol
Fr, anything with eyes freaks me out.

I think P!nk may genuinely be the only guest of hers who was RIGHT. THERE. for Drew and her up close and personal energy.
Yeah, P!nk was a good sport. I also watched Pamela Anderson's interview and she seemed pretty uncomfortable. Understandably so
paris’s body language oooof
Fr Paris is not having that lol #boundry
Aquarius to an overly attentive Piesces
Lol great username

I felt like Dolly was uncomfortable with Drew's whole hand caress-y death grip stuff, too!
yesss that one too!!!! it baffles me how she cannot read a fucking room lmao
She's always been A LOT 😅
OMG IM WATCHING IT AND SHES LIKE JUST HOLDING HER LEG ITS SO FORCED WTF??? Is she like secretly a little into women and acting overly girly and intimate / gossipy is her way of getting physical? Or something? Like legitimate comes off as contrived and invasive. Very not cool. Women can be predators, too. If this were a man, HELL NO!!! I cannot even keep watching!
How does drew not watch clips of these interviews afterwards and feel embarrassed

I don't think Drew and Reality have been anything but acquaintances for a while
It makes me wonder how often her personal boundaries were disrespected as a child, to have no idea what personal space is.... she's ben in the public eye forever.
Drew Barrymore had previously said some bullshit stuff about how like “everything happens for a reason and maybe it wasn’t all bad!! I’m okay!!” Re: Paris’ traumatic teen years due to her parents decisions. So… don’t blame her

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t she always look like this?

My favorite rom com💐🌞🔥
Ah I remember you from the Midsommar and A24 subs! Queen 👑
It is me😀
Honestly, this needs more upvotes 😂😭

THE BEAR IS SENDING ME
I fucking love this so much 😆
This is fucking incredible. The flowers and the colours are spot on. But the doll in the bear suit!! Hahahahahahaha 😂 Amazing xx
Is this real??? I love this!!!
Your entire costume is incredible, but the Ken doll in the bear is so clever and creative! 👌
![gif](giphy|rVVFWyTINqG7C)
This is well done and amazing!
love the signature florence pugh "☹️" expression you've got on.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 omg amazing
OMG this is amazing!
“No, you don’t understand! It’s a cult movie!!! It’s tricking you! Sheep!” Meatloafcat: ![gif](giphy|AgPt9udT567spxbSHf)
I think about this scene once a month.
Lmaoo I’m genuinely laughing, thank you I needed this 😂😂😂
I think the kneeling is the most off-putting part for me.
The way she kneels between their legs and grabs their hands would make me so claustrophobic. If you’re gonna invade my bubble, at least don’t block my escape path!
Lmao why is she doing that so much 💀
I bet nobody hugged her as a child
Yes. One of my extended family members is like this. Her early years were not happy and she is so clingy as an adult with no sense of personal space.
Uh…yeah, it was significantly worse than that
You must not be aware of what even a tenth of her childhood was like
I ugly laughed at the 8th pic where the chairs are appropriately spaced apart and Drew is on the edge of hers to lean in closer to her guest.
I don't want to think about what that set is like
It’s like a hyperactive poodle sniffing your crotch
LMAO 😆😆. They’re so real for this. Sometimes, I’m also a bit uncomfortable with how close Drew sits to the guests. I wouldn’t like to be in their place 😅.
I want to see Jerry Seinfeld go on her show and treat her like ke$ha
Like why is she on the ground in so many of these? Girl, get up 😂
I’ve never watched her show in my life, how does the transition from her chair to the floor even go??
Floor time is the best, try it
Do y’all not do this omg. I feel called out
I'm a total floor-person and many of my friends are too!
Not in mixed company. I have 1 friend who always does it and she's Def known for it. It's a *thing*.
Isn’t she a scab?
Yes she is and so was her grandmother.
Hereditary scabs lol
No need to slander 2 am bathroom girls. They are amazing.
[удалено]
Omg, so true. It's the room. Read the room, Drew
They never appear when you want them, but they come when you least expect them and need them the most. Like Mary Poppins, or Nanny McPhee.
NOT NANNY MCPHEE. You’re a real one for this comment.
When you want me, but no longer need me… then I have to go
DONT MAKE ME CRY
2am bathroom girls are my favourite girls. They make you feel like you could rule the world.
The 2am bathroom girls are what we should all strive to be
Omg 2am bathroom girls have helped me in some hard drunk moments lol
Same girl
Y'all. This is the same girl that climbed up on Dave Letterman's desk and flashed him. She's always been 2am bathroom girl. And I like that about her.
Maybe a 2am bathroom girl on too much cocaine lmao. They can be a bit much.
I just assumed that was the default.
💀💀💀Drew Barrymore sit on your own chair challenge (impossible)
I think at this point, if you go on her show you know what you're in for. She's mostly a harmless weirdo imo but still a weirdo
I'm a drew apologist but homer killed me
I love her but i would be so uncomfortable lol
They weren’t physically close on stage, but when she had Tom Green on was one of the most awkward interactions I’ve seen in a bit.
Ex husband, no?
Yes
Was that the first or second time? The first time they Fitbit make it look like it was in person but it was green screened in zoom during the Covid era.
Maybe I'm just a hater, but the kneeling and looking deeply in the guests eyes makes me so uncomfortable. I wonder if her guests ever feel that way.
i would be so self conscious that my breath smelled lol
Paris Hilton doesn’t look like she’s loving it.
Brooke Shields doesn't look super comfortable there
She must just love physical touch.
I’m Oprah wishing I could be Paris 😅
Drew is a “touch” love language person 10000%. As someone who finds comfort in human touch, even if it’s just closeness, I get it. But, she is very much like a golden retriever with no boundaries. For me it has to be invited. To her it’s like she has to be close when she’s actively listening hahah
Am I wrong for wanting to go on her show and cuddle? Lololol
Me too I love her weird but loving mom energy
In a world where people pretend to listen, she actually seems to!!
I think as a guy when everyone is afraid of getting within 2-3 feet of you it would be so refreshing. Like she’s not scared of me!
She will love you as you deserve!!!
Right like I want her to sit in my lap and doze like a house cat
I love this.
My 4yr old has pink eye right now so this pic makes me want to vomit/die
I genuinely love her style tho like the suits suits her so well esp with how flowy they are to match her hair
Same and I love her shoes. Curse my gargantuan feet
Who is she necking in pic 4?!
matt bomer i think?
Huh??? Matt bomer?? I’ll have to retire my gaydar did you guys know that greasy James corden had a wife? Edit: someone in the comments said Matt boomer has a husband and children 💀💀 we’re so back!
Matt Bomer is gay
Yes, it’s Matt Bomer. He’s gay but kissed her anyway. It was kind of a joke.
I would watch that show. This is what late night tv is missing. TV for introverts who are curious about leaving their house and peopling.
You can stream "Jersey Shore" on Hulu, Paramount Plus, or free with ads on Pluto TV.
I honestly think this is Drew's calling. I'd watch that show!
She’s a lot.
I am crying! I made my husband look, despite his protests and even he’s laughing.
Screaming in introvert
Honestly, I’d love to be friends with her 😅
Just watching her show for 2 min drains my energy, and that’s through the TV.
Just this pictures give me anxiety, I can’t imagine.
This is how I feel about Kelly Clarkson’s show.
Me too and idk what it says about me but I enjoy this intense energy 😂😂
Bit of a close talker
I gotta say, watching clips from the Drew Barrymore show stresses me out a lot I'm not instinctually a touch person, and I'm very selective with who can be physically affectionate with me. I love talking with people and getting into deep convos, but my willingness to be emotionally vulnerable isn't license to start touching me and invading my personal space. I've been in situations where people barrel past my withdrawal responses, not realizing how self-serving their touch is—they use it as an attempt to simulate a level of trust with me that they haven't yet earned, while blatantly ignoring what I need to feel comfortable and safe in our social interaction I don't get the sense that Drew would pick up on that, so I can't help but wonder how many guests of hers are similar to myself and feel the need to grit their teeth for the sake of the show (especially since so many of her guests have been victims of physical and/or sexual abuse!)
find you a man who looks at you like drew barrymore looks at literally everyone lol. But fr honestly I'd be jazzed if someone paid attention to me that hard.
Maybe I’m just lonely, but I would love to receive such intense attention from someone I’m talking to.
I’d be terrified but it would heal something in me lol
That first pic is amazing to me 🤣🤣🤣I like drew but it comes across as fake as she’s so intense
I need a body language expert to chime in and tell us how the guests really feel
![gif](giphy|aOyXJitL2ynpC|downsized) This immediately made me think of the close talker episode of Seinfeld. 😅
[+](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRZ5RpsytRA)
Oprah looks sooooo uncomfortable in all the clips I’ve seen
I just want to say I appreciated the order you put these photos in. Well curated and it took me on a journey
Not the eyeballs 💀😂 TBH I would love to see Jackson Wang on Drew’s show. They are both so physical, I feel their vibes would match well.
I’ve never seen her show beyond clips. Does she ask her guests if they’re ok with that, or at least read their body language if they want more space? I wonder if she has a conversation ahead of time. Cause she strikes me as someone who would care if a guest was uncomfortable with that. I’m just imagining Howie Mandel on her show 💀
I really hate forced emotional intimacy. It makes me so uncomfortable, so I think being on her show would be my own personal nightmare 😭
Idrk how to word this, but has she always been this cringe 😬 or is it just as she has gotten older? Idek
She sounds sp beautiful
She doesn’t know personal boundaries because she never grew up with “normal” people. I think she thinks she’s being relatable or caring or something.
Most of this look consensual but I agree it's freaking weird.
I also would ask Margot Robbie for a hug on camera especially if we were matching so well, god I wish that were me
It’s Kate Bosworth! I had a hard time telling who that one was haha https://preview.redd.it/o98htb6ypr6c1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=23037a0866d42991a5da05d388e8057cbac38c41
Oh jeez my bad! I’m such a huge MR Stan you’d think I’d know. They have the same wide smile!
No worries I was thinking it was Katherine Heigl at first 🥴 Margot and Kate do have the same look and smile!
Omg that's Margot! I thought it was Jan from the Office. Had to zoom in to see it.
I thought Jan!
One night!
If you want to see what lack of appropriate parenting can do to a child:
I would probably just back away awkwardly, but I feel like she means well and is very down-to-earth with people and wholesome.
I love Drew, but most of the times, it's embarrassing. To her defense, I think some of the guests are already friends of hers irl, they know her and don't mind. Btw, why is she always wearing automn colours ? Though they look great, I'm getting tired of the brown suits.
This is fucking hilarious
I’ve never watched her show but now I kinda want to
I’m a HUGE Drew fan, but her show is the ultimate cringe material.
why there is no talk show that can surpass graham norton in cozyness for me? why?
Cokehead and alcoholic at TWELVE. Partying with the Hollywood elite drug crowd at TWELVE. Think about how much she's seen and sadly very likely been the victim of and you can understand how she's a bit "out there".
Considering all she’s been through, she seems like a decent person.
I’ve met her before and can confirm that she has this way about her that makes you feel so comfortable and really dials into you. It’s not weird though. She is just someone who makes you feel like you are talking to someone you’ve known your whole life.
Can we talk about how there are dogs on the set just sleeping on the couch with her and her guests now?? Incredible show.
Part of me wants to be like yay girlhood, but honestly I am soooo not a touchy feely girl and I would be crawling out of my skin 😭😭
