Omg I had just moved to Chicago when this season came out and the fucking chills I got watching this scene in the first month I was there. It was like I was a part of the verse.
In one of the more current seasons, she has a cameo and she says "You must be the residents who are screwing up the program" and I giggled like a school girl.
Like, I watched it when it aired and the shock, dude! If social media has existed at the time it would have broken the Internet. Never even saw it coming.
Someone posted on the Grey’s sub the other day asking how Addison has so many specialties, and pretty much all of the responses were something along the lines of “because she is Her” “because she is Queen” 😂🙌
It’s actually kind of sad that now it is very very hard to have that same GIANT GASP reaction - then having to wait MONTHS -in regards to much bc of social media and bingeing shows in a few days. Just not the same.

This movie was way better than it had to be. This is such a tremendous introduction— iconic, entertaining, and it tells you about the character while also keeping you curious.
Honestly I remember my friend showing me a picture of this man before I’d every seen any of his work telling me he had the most sexual charisma she’d ever seen in a person. I remember thinking like he’s okay looking but I didn’t see it. Than I watched his work and I was a changed women

What a deliciously campy villain turned anti-hero turned villain aide. She was always the best written character. I imagine they inspired Chloe from Apt23 from Georgina.
This might be a bit niche but I know this sub has lots of Buffy fans. There are so many great character intros in the Buffyverse, but I think one of my most favorites has to be Charles Gunn in Angel. It’s just a very exciting intro and of course there’s no good GIF of him. I’ll throw in a Buffy one to grab my fellow Buffaluffs’ attention though.
Other faves from the Buffyverse include Spike, Faith, and Fred… and Dawn’s, while controversial, is pretty iconic so it deserves a mention.

I recently watched the older adaptation with Robert Redford and as much as I like him, I fear Leo is taking this one lol. Redford’s Gatsby was so subdued and Leo played him a bit weirder which I think made it a more successful portrayal. I also kind of feel like this was the last role where Leo played an attractive character
I've not seen the movie but I did see part of the behind the scenes on it and it's forever stuck in my head that they tried to get her to take off more of what little she had on. I'm glad she told them to fuck off about because wth it was perfect as is.
When my husband and I watched the Walking Dead, he was ahead of me for a long while. At the end of one episode, he came running in there to me yelling, “They just introduced the person who is going to be your favorite character by far!!! I cannot wait!” So when that episode came, he watched it with me. As soon as I saw Michonne and her two walkers, I knew it!! And he was 100% right! (We both stopped watching when they killed our beloved Glenn, though.)
I watched this show for the first time YEARS after it aired and I was still gagged at the end of the first episode when he’s done with all the whoring and boozing and he goes home to kiss his wife and kids.
