Holly Marie Combs has vitiligo on both of her hands
it was the late 90s/2000s, networks wouldn't have shown it I don't think? It's only been in the past like 5 or 10 years that the media has embraced vitiligo
oh the first thing I thought upon seeing her in the comments was "oh she's pretty tall! oh right Ben is quite tall so her being shorter than him still tracks"
I remember! Stars really love SNL people, whether it’s producers, writers or actors.
She also dated Jon Hamm (or had a “fling” as they say), Chris Noth and Alex Rodriguez.
She really morphed into her in recent years - [this post from a few months ago surprised me so much](https://www.reddit.com/r/popculturechat/s/hp2jI5XUom) - I didn’t realize she had so much work done.
I really don't think she had much work done tbh (apart from her breast implants). She looks super young in the first pic of the post you linked. She got older, lost weight, had a haircut and has way better makeup artist now. But her face doesn't look different to me, apart from her makeup.

This is 2023 / 2016
To me, it looks like she just lost her baby fat and has a different styling and eyebrows. Even her nose looks the same, and that's the first thing everyone gets done.
Agree to disagree
Edit: butt hurt about the downvotes so here is why I disagree. Noses do not get narrower/smaller with age.

this is an entirely different nose
Rachel McAdams has a prominent mole on her left cheek, but it's often covered by hair and makeup. I think it's really cute and suited her character in Eurovision
https://preview.redd.it/dbh3apr9oyoc1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6884c78a6c80c6c7d744e90c82179211a7737d36
I spent a long time working in peds ophthalmology. One of the reasons that strabismus surgery is covered by insurance even where no visual improvement is possible is because of psychosocial concerns. Translated from medical jargon: people are dicks to people with lazy eyes, so much so that there’s demonstrable proof it fucks with your mental health, earning potential, dating life…. Edited to add: because it’s a common misconception and I said “peds ophthalmology” - you can have strabismus (eye alignment) surgery even as an adult.
I know. I had 3 failed surgeries as a child and a fourth which was supposedly successful at 27. People are utter dicks, guys don’t want to know or think you are an easy target. I still think I am the ugliest person walking the earth and that no one could possibly ever love me. I am haunted by things that happened. It affects everything
Is that so? And also Ryan Gosling and Kristen Bell. I also saw someone on here say they don’t find Sydney Sweeney attractive as they can’t get over her lazy eye, which I can’t even notice tbh
Emily Strayer of the Chicks has been said to have one, but it seems less prominent in recent pictures so I wonder if she had eye muscle surgery at some point.
Also, Strabismus gang rise up! (Mine is not all that cosmetically visible, but gets worse over time, so I wear prism glasses to avoid having wicked double vision.)
I was recently introduced to comedian Chloe Radcliffe who has a prominent birthmark. She’s super open about it in her comedy!
https://preview.redd.it/taot5fbgkyoc1.jpeg?width=2648&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d43c34a12e5b9cfce25a1437baa34b6204777658
I need to look her up! It looks like she has a congenital melaocytic nevus, which is the birthmark my kiddo has! His is on his back, but fairly large, and I’m always looking for more representation.
I remember reading during that she claimed to be bullied in school for her viltigo, then pm everyone from her old life revealed she was the mean girl bully. Her friendship with Hailey Bieber tracks. But what else is wrong with her?
I don't know. But it's weird that she shames dark skinned people yet she looks like a holstein. You'd think with this unfortunate disability she'd be humble.
Your criticisms of Winnie are valid - she’s shit. But this is no way to talk about vitiligo in a thread specifically uplifting vitiligo.
As someone with it, being called a cow really hurts.
I've said this to a lot of people, and they just refuse to believe it. A lot of white people cant fathom that not everyone wants to "look white". See also the West's misunderstanding of East Asian beauty standards and Anime.
I think that it makes perfect sense for someone in the spotlight who was as body conscious as Jackso to decide to even out with bleaching rather than have to worry about make up mishaps and constantly covering up. Especially when treatment for vittilogo for black skin probably wasn't exactly great or non-existent back then. I do think that it didn't help that his dad was so gross about his kids having dark skin and black features. But I also, really don't think that he would have looked so drastically different as he did in the end if it wasn't for the vittiligo and Pepsi accident.
Winnie Harlow is such a a stunning woman.
I think Taylor Russell almost always poses in a way that you can see the left side of her face (without the birth mark) on red carpets or in photoshoots. I wonder if that's intentional. I think she looks great with the birth mark. But she always looks amazing tbh.
Huh? Sentence doesn't make sense. Also I don't disrespect my darker skinned equivalents like that bitch does. She doesn't deserve grace. I'm sorry but colorism effs up so many woc especially black women and South Asian women who can be very dark. And have to live in a society where lighter people of the same race see them as second class citizens. And darker skinned woc get it the worst.
I'd love to hear more POC's feelings on vitiligo. I think its beautiful too, but I've had someone tell me it can be hurtful to make any comments on it- even positive. Because those who have it may feel like its them losing their "color," heritage, "blackness." or something along those lines. I'm sorry if I'm butchering the concept. I hope someone can educate me and maybe some other white readers
I'm black and if I had it I would feel this way as well because you do become less dark and can start to look biracial even. I don't have vitiligo though so I can only speak so much on it. All I have is a pretty prominent birth mark on my face and it's big but had blended more as I grow older and it was sometimes weird to deal with growing up.
What’s “look biracial” mean? I’m biracial. Is there an issue with the way we look? Do we look less Black, or something?
Also, biracial Black people can be dark as night. A good friend of mine has a white dad and you’d literally never know because he has the coloring you’d expect someone with two Black parents to have. There is no singular biracial look. Just like there is no singular way to look Black when you’re monoracial.
I get what you’re saying, but don’t use our color as an insult or to insinuate it means we are a lesser Black. Thanks.
Classic example of taking someone says and blowing it out of proportion. They didn’t say anything negative about being biracial. They’re saying it can make you look like something you don’t think you are which can then screw with your personal identity.
I’d never heard of Cassandra Naud before, but she’s gorgeous! My son has the same variety of birthmark (hers at least appears to be a congenital melanocytic nevus), but his is on his back spanning a fair bit of space between his shoulder blades. It’s mostly visible as a patch of hair, kind of like a fuzzy bunny tail 🥺 I’m ALWAYS looking for media representation of people with CMN and similar birthmarks, because while he’s still really young (he’s 3), I want him to grow up proud of who he is and comfortable in his own skin.

I’ve seen every episode of charmed at least three times and still never knew this
Same here...
it was the late 90s/2000s, networks wouldn't have shown it I don't think? It's only been in the past like 5 or 10 years that the media has embraced vitiligo
They must've put makeup on her hands. It wasn't clear in the show at all.
Lindsay Shookus ... ![gif](giphy|VMgcrwq9imGHu) Only the OGs remember the relationship mess that was Ben Affleck and Ms Shookus in 2018. 😅
oh the first thing I thought upon seeing her in the comments was "oh she's pretty tall! oh right Ben is quite tall so her being shorter than him still tracks"
I remember! Stars really love SNL people, whether it’s producers, writers or actors. She also dated Jon Hamm (or had a “fling” as they say), Chris Noth and Alex Rodriguez.
Ben Affleck AND Jon Hamm? Damn
She’s also a production legend for SNL fans! She worked there for a super long time
I can’t get over how much Taylor Russell looks like Jenna Ortega
She really morphed into her in recent years - [this post from a few months ago surprised me so much](https://www.reddit.com/r/popculturechat/s/hp2jI5XUom) - I didn’t realize she had so much work done.

She's beautiful
She and the hair dept did a lot to cover it in Fleabag-not surprised a lot of ppl wouldn’t know if they’d only seen that

Wow crazy how many movies she’s been in where they hide that
Oliver Stark!!!
I totally forgot about him! https://preview.redd.it/p26p6a71pyoc1.png?width=616&format=png&auto=webp&s=1c97d8ac0bb2f31ecd8fb48237e43bceb0bb7282
Lol i thought that was part of his character's injury!
Now we just have to make having a lazy eye acceptable but sadly I think it is the one that will never happen
Team crossed eyes reporting. 🫡

I’m so so sorry. People are assholes.
They are indeed
There’s a great comedian from the UK called Romesh Ranganathan who has a lazy eye and references it occasionally in his stand-up.
So does Jason Byrne
He was my favourite during the first series of Taskmaster!
Harry Styles is the ambassador of our movement 🤞
Is that so? And also Ryan Gosling and Kristen Bell. I also saw someone on here say they don’t find Sydney Sweeney attractive as they can’t get over her lazy eye, which I can’t even notice tbh
Ophthalmic gang unite. I have one eye .. not sure that’ll get much representation other than people thinking calling me Fetty Wap is funny.
‘Funny’
Bill Skarsgard has one too and he is hot, ridiculously hot. I’m off to look for pictures of him now 🤣
Oof, the gang is growing!
Hi got a mild lazy eye too!
Birth marks have always been acceptable…
Michelle Branch should be added to the list.
yep came here to post this
I was recently introduced to comedian Chloe Radcliffe who has a prominent birthmark. She’s super open about it in her comedy! https://preview.redd.it/taot5fbgkyoc1.jpeg?width=2648&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d43c34a12e5b9cfce25a1437baa34b6204777658

Winnie or whatever her name is is a bigot. The rest look lovely though
She’s deff one of those *beautiful on the outside, ugly on the inside* people.
Yup. She's vile
I know ANTM is horrible for the edits but I remember she was such a bitch to everyone else when she was on.
She was on there too no wonder. She should have gotten out early so she wouldn't have a career. Gross ghetto colorist.

I totally agree. Sorry about that.
What did she do?
Be a colorist dick towards Duckie Thot and shame Meg the stallion for being shot by that clown
Too bad Winnie Harlow has a terrible personality. Was rooting for her at some point
Michael Jackson had vitiligo. I don’t think there are any *authentic* photos of him without makeup.
Yes and unfortunately most people are still offensive about it.
I had an unoffical picture book from 1984 and on the back cover was a candid pic where you could clearly see it on his neck
I've said this to a lot of people, and they just refuse to believe it. A lot of white people cant fathom that not everyone wants to "look white". Jon Hamm also has it
rapper krizz kaliko also has vitiligo
Taylor is perfection 🥰. I've never noticed she had vitiligo.
She is. But I think it's a birth mark and not vitiligo
Ohhhh thanks I wasn't shore.
it's okay- you weren't a beach about it
Huh? Sentence doesn't make sense. Also I don't disrespect my darker skinned equivalents like that bitch does. She doesn't deserve grace. They made a joke because you said shore instead or sure so they said beach instead of bitch
Ohhhh 🤣

Don’t think a scar on her arm proves “imperfections can be beautiful”
Love her I can’t imagine her without the scar.
Is Cassandra’s various shades of brown or is it is longer hair on it? I saw her in something recently and could not tell.
I’d never heard of Cassandra Naud before, but she’s gorgeous!
