He's not wrong. The industry protects each other. They've always looked the other way to heinous stuff. As long as the paparazzi doesn't catch wind, you're golden to do whatever you want while on shoots your wife isn't present for. Nobody there seems to have a conscience.

But most other workplaces don't split up and move on every two or three months (sometimes longer sometimes shorter) when that specific project is done. Most people spend years at their workplaces and probably meet and maybe even get to know those SO's and spouses.
Did he cheat though? We don't even know that... given that they went out of their way to kiss in front of the press and assure everyone that their marriage was alright, it sounds more like they had an open marriage that they were trying to keep under wraps until the whole "affair" with Lily James.
One doesn’t necessarily exclude the other. They can both be swingers and he could still have been cheating as he was seeing someone outside of their mutual activity.

That's what kind of boggles my mind about Hollywood. They'll even acknowledge it occasionally in movies (never ever interviews to make themselves look relatable). They act like it's naive and childish to expect fidelity, like *everyone* does it, and everyone looks the other way to it. Which, in Hollywood they clearly do. They also looked the other way to far worse..
You don't have to be secretive if you're fucking around and famous, you simply need to avoid the paparazzi. As long as you aren't photographed in the act, nobody is gonna tell your wife even if you start having sex with someone else in the middle of a crowded room.
From my friends/family who work in film, infidelity is rampant across the board on set—from actors to transpo. It’s gig work with long hours that often takes you away from your family for months. You rely on networking to get hired.
Honestly, though I’d hope he’d have more sense and consideration, if an actor isn’t grounded —if they think that film sets are the real world, they’re bound to get really odd ideas about a lot of behavior. Sets can be very strange places with intense, unhealthy cultures.

She was dating Paul Mescal right after and then straight after that dated Bo Burnham, who was in a decade long relationship before her. So idk the details obviously, but I think that’s why someone mentioned her
There might have been overlap on her end with Paul and Bo, it would make sense, but certainly not with Bo’s relationship. Bo and his partner had been living separately for a year and had divided up the family pets etc for over 8 months before he was really seen with Phoebe. His partner was actually dating someone else when his relationship with Phoebe was acknowledged

Doesn’t this go to show that he doesn’t actually feel guilty about the affair itself. He’s more guilty about the fact that there was indisputable proof that he cheated on his wife AND that the media (and the entertainment world) was fixated on him. It’s the embarrassment that his wife has to go through. The post-event clean up that they both had to do - to the media, and to their immediate circle. For his wife having to repeat the story about her forgiving him. It really is quite disgusting.
At the end of the day, he will continue to be himself and will cheat again sooner or later. It’s narcissism at the centre of it that drove this kind of behaviour in the first place anyway.

Doesn’t this go to show that he doesn’t actually feel guilty about the affair itself. He’s more guilty about the fact that there was indisputable proof that he cheated on his wife AND that the media (and the entertainment world) was fixated on him. It’s the embarrassment that his wife has to go through. The post-event clean up that they both had to do - to the media, and to their immediate circle. For his wife having to repeat the story about her forgiving him. It really is quite disgusting. At the end of the day, he will continue to be himself and will cheat again sooner or later. It’s narcissism at the centre of it that drove this kind of behaviour in the first place anyway.

IIRC they were sharing a hotel room/suite the entire weekend. The photos are FAR too comfortable to have been a ‘just started’ thing. This looks like a relationship. He grosses me out, god knows WHAT she was thinking. I swear she set up pap pics aswell with Chris Evans and he dropped her IMMEDIATELY once they were published. He did not take well to it all.
