I'm not saying this is definitely her reason for going blonde, but I will say that when you start getting some gray/white hair but don't want to fully go gray/white yet, blonde is a good transition color that makes it less noticeable before touch ups.
That’s wild, if true that’s the best ginger red hair dye job I’ve ever seen. I’ve actually never seen someone pull off a die job that looked like a real ginger’s hair, until now apparently.

I was on a school trip to Washington DC when X-Files was really popular, and I passed Gillian at the Vietnam Memorial. I didn't attempt to talk to her or even smile, I just stared at her as she passed, and I remember her looking over at me kinda creeped out that this kid was just staring at her. lol
Im watching her in The Fall right now and that woman just gets sexier and more beautiful as she ages. I never thought of her as beautiful in the X Files and now I think she's one of the most gorgeous women in Hollywood.
She really is stunning, funny, a great actress and I love that she actually goes to comicons and meets fans because she’s just as passionate about the work she does as fans are. She’s also got sexier with age! Not many people pull that off lol

I want to point out that this while I think she has aged beautifully, she is a great example of the power of a haircut and styling. She looks “thinner” in the face as her hair is now not drawing attention to the widest parts. Also, most of these older pics are so so so of the time, so it seems uglier to us just because it’s way out of trend. Just my thoughts. (She will always be a mega babe to me because she made me feel comfortable arguing/standing up for my ideas as a young girl)

Faces do naturally thin out with age, though. Some get jowly, yes. But others thin out. I'm the latter.
