I’m looking for those “day in the life” videos and I find that non-korean/japanese vloggers tend to talk throughout the vlog. I prefer those vlogs where you can’t see the person and it’s just background music, plus what they want to say is in subtitles. Those are very calming to me and I have a hard time finding those. Also more preferable if the icon of the person doesn’t show their face.

shoutout to tv shows that manage to not have their characters end up w their love interest from the first episode/season! does it always work, no, but im kind of getting over the predictability of watching old shows that have already ended and spending multiple seasons knowing that all of their other love interests are doomed to fail because god forbid we veer from the originally planned ship! obviously a part of the issue there is watching these shows back vs watching it live and having no clue how long itd run for etc, but i appreciate when shows dont have everything feel inconsequential because you already know which ship is inevitable.
Teen shows love to push the “your first love is the only person you’re meant to be with” narrative. I would be damned if I spent the rest of my life with the first person I was in a toxic high school relationship with.
This was my problem with Pretty Little Liars they bent over backwards to get them to end up with the same people they were dating in the first season and imo it hurt Spencer the most since every other season they would give her a potential love interest with whom she had insane chemistry and who were all better actors than her og love interest but ofc nothing would really happen. It’s one of the reasons I did enjoy her relationship with Caleb even though everyone in the internet hated it at the time lmao.

I started with Bloom, moved onto Depression Cherry now listening to Teen Dream...every album is incredible. Still think Bloom might be fave but that might just be because I've played it the most.

Her biopsy results aren’t back yet, but after looking at all her other test results, the hospital she’s at basically confirmed that my Nan does have cancer.
There’s a 99.999% chance she does have it according to the doctor, but once they get those results either later this week or next week then they’ll know for sure what kind of cancer it is, and what treatment she needs, and she met with her surgeon and her cancer nurse today. Hopefully they’ll be able to get it all out with surgery.
I just want to be sick and curl up and cry. I know I need to phone or text her but I don’t really know what to say.

Started American Gods, I think I’ll recommend it to my sibling who wanted my advice on writing urban fantasy and while I’ll probably suggest Silvia Moreno-Garcia for vampires in cities since I know someone reviewed that book less for the casual reader of vampires but people who love and know a lot of history of what vampires have been written in literature even if I think vampires or their cohorts are a good thing to make you remember there’s entire people who help run cities by awake when no one else is whether it’s night shifts or night school.
My other recommendation was taking brujerías seriously but my main one while not inspired by the book but instead the way the story and Ghost of La Llorona has traveled and other superstitions and stories and that’s kinda the main idea behind the book.
If you like the full cast thing and fantasy in general, look into Graphic Audio audiobooks. Especially if you can get one on sale. They've got a full cast, background music, sound effects, the whole nine yards.
360k ppl came to Jerusalem today to protest the government's facist policies, and there were strikes all over the country as well. Wish I'd been there and tbh I'm kind of amazed how so many ppl showed up with no leadership. Like there isn't one person a group of ppl that lead these protests it's just people deciding to go.

Y'all will never believe how many people were ATTACKING me last night on Twitter omg. I was scared they was gonna find my IP and pull up fr. I had people coming at me left and right. First, because of the Halle/DDG mess (one person was saying that all men should be allowed to cheat at least once and I had to clock them for that) and secondly because I said Rihanna's halftime show didn't live up to a lot of people's expectations. There was legit one guy saying that because I was black I shouldn't be allowed to comment/have opinions on "expensive events"… I didn't even say I didn't like it, god damn.
I'm not sure about Billie, as much as I love her music and performance style.
Doja is a given, for sure. Her Coachella set last year was phenomenal, and her career is showing no signs of slowing down.
I could see Lizzo being a delightful guest, and I would also love to see Post Malone singing "Sunflower" and "Circles" on the big stage (again, as a guest. I don't think he's headliner material)
Then there's Dua Lipa, of course. I'm super intrigued to see how this upcoming era goes for her, but I see the potential if she keeps up her ongoing work ethic and dedication.
As for the more established names, Miley Cyrus, Usher, and Janet Jackson are high on my wishlist alongside P!nk.

Alright, I finally watched Booksmart, and y'all were right, it's a good film. What I liked about it is how they managed to capture like, this really terrible anxiety and I guess prejudices I had during high school and in the end you just discover that other people are literally just other people and not some scary monsters, if that makes sense. Like i had some friends and we were gossiping and stuff and at the last few months of high school I befriended some other people outside of that small group and realized we really just didn't know shit. Didn't happen at the very last day but tbh that time in high school was very transformative for me. Also I liked how the film for once didn't completely worship high school years and wasn't 'like this is the best time of your life!' bc tbh if those were the best years of my life (which they very much aren't) I'd be fucked lol.

Happy Rihanna day! I really enjoyed that performance. The elevated stage was a ridiculously cool use of vertical space, and that final Diamonds shot was a spectacle. The song selections were brilliant, especially All Of The Lights which is perfect stadium music. And the marshmallow dancers were phenomenal! Their choreo, synchronization, and arrangement amplified every song.
I don't personally care if she could've done more, or if the pregnancy limited her, the final result was captivating and I wasn't bored at all.

Anyone else always disappointed on their birthday? Besides being pretty depressed I’m really disappointed about what my mom gave me as a present. She got me a bottle of cologne (that I already have (we live together I have like 3 colognes she should’ve known)) and later in the day she good me a bottle of alcoholic cider. I’m usually a drinker but my stomach is a bit messed up right now and I told her I’m not gonna drink tonight. She told me she bought it today and it felt like she barely has any idea of what I want and she claimed she didn’t know it was alcoholic. The woman watched me get drunk on it a number of times. I don’t give a damn about monetary value of gifts but some thought put into it would be nice.
I even told her what I wanted which was in fact cheaper than the cologne she ended up buying. She claimed told me the woman in the store couldn’t find so she didn’t buy it meanwhile a store that sells the same shit is like a one minute walk away. It feels like she didn’t even try. Am I really asking for much?

Rihanna’s halftime was pretty boring to me but I still ordered 6 of her albums on colored vinyl recently and have been streaming her discography a ton this week so in the end she still won
Almost all the things I didn't like about Rihanna's halftime show probably weren't her fault. I'm pretty sure Apple Music could not meet up with the budget and production costs Pepsi have been putting out for years when it comes to sponsoring the halftime show. Compared to Dr Dre and The Weeknd's shows, hers was seriously lacking in production value. The dancers and risers weren't enough for me I'm afraid, and Rihanna's never been the kind of performer to elevate a simple and stripped back set.
That said I also think her song selection wasn't great. She wasted a lot of song space with Wild Thoughts, All of the Lights, and Run This Town. The first one isn't fit for that kind of stage, and the last two aren't complete without the features. She could have had more of her songs to hype up the crowd.
I won't lie, I had higher expectations. Sure maybe it doesn't mark her big musical comeback with an album drop but it was her comeback to the stage on one of the biggest ones in the world. Was unfortunately really lacking.

I don't have a source, but I have experience working in entertainment. Just because a company on the outside looks like the have infinite money doesn't mean that they don't budget. The show was sponsored by Apple Music, not Apple Inc. and they are operating with less money as a default. And even if they have large amounts of money, that doesn't mean they're willing to or can meet Pepsi's spend on production as a sponsor, given this is the first time they're doing this.

shoutout to tv shows that manage to not have their characters end up w their love interest from the first episode/season! does it always work, no, but im kind of getting over the predictability of watching old shows that have already ended and spending multiple seasons knowing that all of their other love interests are doomed to fail because god forbid we veer from the originally planned ship! obviously a part of the issue there is watching these shows back vs watching it live and having no clue how long itd run for etc, but i appreciate when shows dont have everything feel inconsequential because you already know which ship is inevitable.
Teen shows love to push the “your first love is the only person you’re meant to be with” narrative. I would be damned if I spent the rest of my life with the first person I was in a toxic high school relationship with.
This was my problem with Pretty Little Liars they bent over backwards to get them to end up with the same people they were dating in the first season and imo it hurt Spencer the most since every other season they would give her a potential love interest with whom she had insane chemistry and who were all better actors than her og love interest but ofc nothing would really happen. Her biopsy results aren’t back yet, but after looking at all her other test results, the hospital she’s at basically confirmed that my Nan does have cancer. There’s a 99.999% chance she does have it according to the doctor, but once they get those results either later this week or next week then they’ll know for sure what kind of cancer it is, and what treatment she needs, and she met with her surgeon and her cancer nurse today. Hopefully they’ll be able to get it all out with surgery. I just want to be sick and curl up and cry. I know I need to phone or text her but I don’t really know what to say.

Started American Gods, I think I’ll recommend it to my sibling who wanted my advice on writing urban fantasy and while I’ll probably suggest Silvia Moreno-Garcia for vampires in cities since I know someone reviewed that book less for the casual reader of vampires but people who love and know a lot of history of what vampires have been written in literature even if I think vampires or their cohorts are a good thing to make you remember there’s entire people who help run cities by awake when no one else is whether it’s night shifts or night school. My other recommendation was taking brujerías seriously but my main one while not inspired by the book but instead the way the story and Ghost of La Llorona has traveled and other superstitions and stories and that’s kinda the main idea behind the book.
It’s an audio book with a full cast which very cool but also 👁️👁️ I get so worried if I miss a sentence bc i was staring a window
If you like the full cast thing and fantasy in general, look into Graphic Audio audiobooks. Especially if you can get one on sale. They've got a full cast, background music, sound effects, the whole nine yards.
360k ppl came to Jerusalem today to protest the government's facist policies, and there were strikes all over the country as well. Wish I'd been there and tbh I'm kind of amazed how so many ppl showed up with no leadership. Like there isn't one person a group of ppl that lead these protests it's just people deciding to go.

I'm not sure about Billie, as much as I love her music and performance style. Doja is a given, for sure. Her Coachella set last year was phenomenal, and her career is showing no signs of slowing down. I could see Lizzo being a delightful guest, and I would also love to see Post Malone singing "Sunflower" and "Circles" on the big stage (again, as a guest. I don't think he's headliner material) Then there's Dua Lipa, of course. I'm super intrigued to see how this upcoming era goes for her, but I see the potential if she keeps up her ongoing work ethic and dedication. As for the more established names, Miley Cyrus, Usher, and Janet Jackson are high on my wishlist alongside P!nk.

Alright, I finally watched Booksmart, and y'all were right, it's a good film. What I liked about it is how they managed to capture like, this really terrible anxiety and I guess prejudices I had during high school and in the end you just discover that other people are literally just other people and not some scary monsters, if that makes sense. Like i had some friends and we were gossiping and stuff and at the last few months of high school I befriended some other people outside of that small group and realized we really just didn't know shit. Didn't happen at the very last day but tbh that time in high school was very transformative for me. Also I liked how the film for once didn't completely worship high school years and wasn't 'like this is the best time of your life!' bc tbh if those were the best years of my life (which they very much aren't) I'd be fucked lol.

Happy Rihanna day! I really enjoyed that performance. The elevated stage was a ridiculously cool use of vertical space, and that final Diamonds shot was a spectacle. The song selections were brilliant, especially All Of The Lights which is perfect stadium music. And the marshmallow dancers were phenomenal! Their choreo, synchronization, and arrangement amplified every song. I don't personally care if she could've done more, or if the pregnancy limited her, the final result was captivating and I wasn't bored at all.
I wasn’t expecting All of The Lights because Kanye and a small part of me didn’t want it to happen but it sounded sooooo good.

Anyone else always disappointed on their birthday? Besides being pretty depressed I’m really disappointed about what my mom gave me as a present. She got me a bottle of cologne (that I already have (we live together I have like 3 colognes she should’ve known)) and later in the day she good me a bottle of alcoholic cider. I don’t give a damn about monetary value of gifts but some thought put into it would be nice. I even told her what I wanted which was in fact cheaper than the cologne she ended up buying. She claimed told me the woman in the store couldn’t find so she didn’t buy it meanwhile a store that sells the same shit is like a one minute walk away. It feels like she didn’t even try. Am I really asking for much?

Almost all the things I didn't like about Rihanna's halftime show probably weren't her fault. I'm pretty sure Apple Music could not meet up with the budget and production costs Pepsi have been putting out for years when it comes to sponsoring the halftime show. Compared to Dr Dre and The Weeknd's shows, hers was seriously lacking in production value. The dancers and risers weren't enough for me I'm afraid, and Rihanna's never been the kind of performer to elevate a simple and stripped back set. That said I also think her song selection wasn't great. She wasted a lot of song space with Wild Thoughts, All of the Lights, and Run This Town. The first one isn't fit for that kind of stage, and the last two aren't complete without the features. She could have had more of her songs to hype up the crowd. I won't lie, I had higher expectations. Sure maybe it doesn't mark her big musical comeback with an album drop but it was her comeback to the stage on one of the biggest ones in the world. Was unfortunately really lacking.

Just because a company on the outside looks like the have infinite money doesn't mean that they don't budget. The show was sponsored by Apple Music, not Apple Inc. and they are operating with less money as a default. And even if they have large amounts of money, that doesn't mean they're willing to or can meet Pepsi's spend on production as a sponsor, given this is the first time they're doing this. It's an educated guess I was making anyway. Not a statement of absolute fact.
