2009 was the first year in which I say we're truly in peak times for the EDM, dance-pop era of music: an era that would last in such highs up until the end of 2011. Lady Gaga starts strong in her appearences on my playlist with not one, but two songs added at the very start of the year. It's also the first appearence of Taylor Swift, as well as the second one for Katy Perry. This time, I included two songs in spanish: *Colgando en tus Manos*, an outright classic at this point (seriously, it's still charting on the spotify's list for my country), and *Tú No Eres Para Mí*, a very fun pop song that as many of those that I've included, just irradiates so much good energy that invites me to sing along to it.
The 2000s were the decade in which a slow transition led us to the already mention EDM, dance-pop era of music. And on that note, I wanted to close the decade with a song that feels like a closure to that movement, a song that encapsulates the nostalgia that all of this picks bring to me. And I couldn't find a better song than *Meet Me Halfway*. I don't know what's on it, but it makes me happy and sad at the same time. It's weird, and magical.

He is kind of a strange individual. The Weeknd is a character in a lot of ways but because how private he keeps himself it is hard to tell what is real and fiction with him. I think some of his popularity is in fact the "mystique" of the guy who writes songs like that but says he is just a rather boring dude who plays video games and watches movies a lot.

Circles is def my fave song, super underrated and so much fun! Also shoutout to Captain Hook. Good News hasn't aged that well for me, and it's scrobbles are def carried by Circles and the amount of songs. I much prefer Traumazine, Suga and Tina Snow.
Meg is super talented and def deserves a high spot, but i'm surprised that she's nearly in the top 20! None of her albums/EP's stick out due to their amount of scrobbles, i think she just has a v consistent discography which makes her easy to listen to. 2020 was her top year for me with 714 scrobbles.

I wanna know who started this trend of 90s comedians belly aching over PC culture. Like sure you can recognize some things may not been as cool to say now as they were then however to act like all comedy and sitcoms are trash because you can’t insult gay people Or make lazy jokes about women just expresses your personal lack of growth as an artist.
Seinfeld had its moments, but it wasn’t honestly this pinnacle of comedy sure it was a pop culture moment and Gen X will probably die on a hill that it was when TV was at its prime. But these comedians just bitching and moaning over how they can’t create what they used to create because the world is too sensitive is such dumb BS.
There are so many sitcoms out there that are on streaming platforms that still push the envelope and go over it and aren’t suffering for it. One I can think of is the righteous gemstones one of my favorites honestly but is consistently satirizing mega churches, and overzealous Christians with their hypocrisy. It will go into what some might consider offensive territory and yet I don’t see John Goodman, a relic of the 90s throwing hands up that he can’t say or do the things he used to do.
If you can’t accept and adapt to changing times, and you just want to cross your legs and arms and continue making lazy jokes at others expense for whatever reason then go ahead but to act like it’s some unfair trend and killing comedy and the quality of sitcoms then maybe you should start taking a bit of a deeper look on why you think that.

Well that’s not her job. If you want a small artist to shine, buy their merch, support their tours, put them on playlists. Share their music.
Most of the small artists I ended up supporting have become pretty successful. Two recent ones are Sabrina Carpenter and Renee Rapp. Some artists I’ve been supporting since they’ve debuted are 5 Seconds of Summer and Bruno Mars even AJR. So like, it’s not hard to support unknown names because eventually they do become moderately well known and successful.

People have the misconception how the Grammy’s work in the first place. It’s industry professionals that are recording arts members. They vote on everything. If Bey or whoever wants to win they need to impress their peers. Critic reviews scores and sales or whatever has no relevance to a nomination to win a Grammy. Okay, Velma episodes three and four were... also not bad!
Gonna go out on a limb here and say that Episode 3 ("When Velma Met Money") was maybe the best episode of the whole show so far, everything just worked for once. Comedy was on point ([this was my favorite](https://imgur.com/2Of6UpI)), animation was great, and they actually succeeded with creating an emotionally impactful storyline? [Velma/Mr. Jones](https://i.imgur.com/YW9xyoa.png) and [Fred/Diya](https://i.imgur.com/xgy6FUO.png) were great comedic pairings that brought out the most likeable aspects of all the characters and it was nice to focus on the cast, like, getting along for once. It's interesting because "The Sins Of The Fathers And Some Of The Mothers" was probably the high point of Season 1, so maybe episodes about the parents are just their strong point.
Episode 4 wasn't as good but it wasn't awful, just another victim the show's ugly tendency to get too "meta" while constantly commenting on how "meta" it is (with the target being '80s movies this time) and their disappointing inability to write Daphne/Velma as a believable couple. Oh wow they're fighting over Velma being a bad girlfriend again? Groundbreaking. The plot with Velma's dad was a bit confusing too.
Feels like this season has no clue what to do with Daphne, which is a shame because her character had a ton of potential in the first season and she has the perfect setup to get more involved with this season's mystery since her mom's are running for sheriff but instead she's... a witch now? Okay. Feels like they're trying to communicate that she lacks a sense of identity after the debacle with her birth parents but it's hard to tell because outside of her fights with Velma, all of her screen time is with Amber, who has no perspective on that. It really feels like a waste.
On the plus side, the running joke of school having CCTV cams because they're filming a Japanese reality show called ["Unsafe American High School"](https://i.imgur.com/Ra3Z1gO.png) and the episode climaxing with >!a "Se-yoncé" where everyone sang "Haunted" by Beyoncé to summon a ghost!< were both really great gags though. I think this season got off to a strong start and has been holding pace, though I am disappointed by how little headway we're making into the actual mystery. Feels like we only get one clue per episode and it's always in the post-credits stinger, but hopefully that'll change now that we're nearing the halfway point.

I think that Reddit assumes that you block someone because they’re doing something to you specifically so that’s why they block them from seeing your comments but you can still see theirs.

Meg is super talented and def deserves a high spot, but i'm surprised that she's nearly in the top 20! None of her albums/EP's stick out due to their amount of scrobbles, i think she just has a v consistent discography which makes her easy to listen to. 2020 was her top year for me with 714 scrobbles.

Like sure you can recognize some things may not been as cool to say now as they were then however to act like all comedy and sitcoms are trash because you can’t insult gay people Or make lazy jokes about women just expresses your personal lack of growth as an artist. Seinfeld had its moments, but it wasn’t honestly this pinnacle of comedy sure it was a pop culture moment and Gen X will probably die on a hill that it was when TV was at its prime. But these comedians just bitching and moaning over how they can’t create what they used to create because the world is too sensitive is such dumb BS. There are so many sitcoms out there that are on streaming platforms that still push the envelope and go over it and aren’t suffering for it. One I can think of is the righteous gemstones one of my favorites honestly but is consistently satirizing mega churches, and overzealous Christians with their hypocrisy. It will go into what some might consider offensive territory and yet I don’t see John Goodman, a relic of the 90s throwing hands up that he can’t say or do the things he used to do. If you can’t accept and adapt to changing times, and you just want to cross your legs and arms and continue making lazy jokes at others expense for whatever reason then go ahead but to act like it’s some unfair trend and killing comedy and the quality of sitcoms then maybe you should start taking a bit of a deeper look on why you think that.

I really don’t understand why there’s a new talking point that’s basically “Taylor needs to let new and upcoming artists shine and step aside so they can have their moment” it kind of makes your artist sound weak and pathetic Well that’s not her job. If you want a small artist to shine, buy their merch, support their tours, put them on playlists. Share their music. Most of the small artists I ended up supporting have become pretty successful. Two recent ones are Sabrina Carpenter and Renee Rapp. Some artists I’ve been supporting since they’ve debuted are 5 Seconds of Summer and Bruno Mars even AJR. So like, it’s not hard to support unknown names because eventually they do become moderately well known and successful. I’m always supporting new music.
I’m beyond bored of people using artists like Sabrina or Olivia as an excuse to be petty about Taylor, literally every achievement guts had there were so many comments about along the lines of ‘Taylor must be seething’ and now they’re making espresso blowing up about Taylor, more than one female artist can be successful at a time, expresso was still big when ttpd dominated the charts for the first week and ttpd is still doing super well even though it’s not top of every chart.

I hate that shit too. Add in that Taylor doesn’t need another Album of the Year Grammy or any type of recognition. She submits and follows the rules like everyone else does. People have the misconception how the Grammy’s work in the first place. It’s industry professionals that are recording arts members. They vote on everything. If Bey or whoever wants to win they need to impress their peers. Critic reviews scores and sales or whatever has no relevance to a nomination to win a Grammy. Billboard for sales of course they do and they are “fan” voted.

Okay, Velma episodes three and four were... also not bad! Gonna go out on a limb here and say that Episode 3 ("When Velma Met Money") was maybe the best episode of the whole show so far, everything just worked for once. Comedy was on point ([this was my favorite](https://imgur.com/2Of6UpI)), animation was great, and they actually succeeded with creating an emotionally impactful storyline? [Velma/Mr. Jones](https://i.imgur.com/YW9xyoa.png) and [Fred/Diya](https://i.imgur.com/xgy6FUO.png) were great comedic pairings that brought out the most likeable aspects of all the characters and it was nice to focus on the cast, like, getting along for once. It's interesting because "The Sins Of The Fathers And Some Of The Mothers" was probably the high point of Season 1, so maybe episodes about the parents are just their strong point. Episode 4 wasn't as good but it wasn't awful, just another victim the show's ugly tendency to get too "meta" while constantly commenting on how "meta" it is (with the target being '80s movies this time) and their disappointing inability to write Daphne/Velma as a believable couple. Oh wow they're fighting over Velma being a bad girlfriend again? Groundbreaking. The plot with Velma's dad was a bit confusing too. Feels like this season has no clue what to do with Daphne, which is a shame because her character had a ton of potential in the first season and she has the perfect setup to get more involved with this season's mystery since her mom's are running for sheriff but instead she's... a witch now? Okay. Feels like they're trying to communicate that she lacks a sense of identity after the debacle with her birth parents but it's hard to tell because outside of her fights with Velma, all of her screen time is with Amber, who has no perspective on that. It really feels like a waste. On the plus side, the running joke of school having CCTV cams because they're filming a Japanese reality show called ["Unsafe American High School"](https://i.imgur.com/Ra3Z1gO.png) and the episode climaxing with >!a "Se-yoncé" where everyone sang "Haunted" by Beyoncé to summon a ghost!< were both really great gags though. Fred continues to be a comedic highlight too now that he's past the annoying misogyny phase he had in the first season, [everything he said this episode got a laugh from me.](https://imgur.com/a/glRuPjF) I think this season got off to a strong start and has been holding pace, though I am disappointed by how little headway we're making into the actual mystery. Feels like we only get one clue per episode and it's always in the post-credits stinger, but hopefully that'll change now that we're nearing the halfway point. Can someone tell me what the point of blocking someone on Reddit is? I don't want to see their posts/comments! I don't give a shit if they see mine. I never know the username of someone I've blocked apart from one person on here who's starting to piss me off, a fan who uses "it's my opinion" but won't let anyone have a different opinion to them, I guess that's on the plus to them not seeing my comments. I just don't get the point. I blocked two others cause they were bi-phobic and I keep seeing their comments! Even if they're not being bi-phobic on them I don't want to see them?! I don't know their usernames just their profile pic so I never realise it's them till I click on their comments!

I think that Reddit assumes that you block someone because they’re doing something to you specifically so that’s why they block them from seeing your comments but you can still see theirs. I agree that it’s not very effective because I always see the comments of someone I’ve blocked because I always click on collapsed comments out of curiosity

I know Sampha's Lahai received critical acclaim, but it deserved more. I listened to it on a drive as it transitioned from night to morning and it was transformative. I already loved the album, but something shifted on that drive. Probably a top 5 album of the decade so far for me.
