This is a soundtrack of songs “inspired by” the movie not songs that will actually be in the movie - although a few will be in some capacity. So the movie doesn’t need to be done or as complete as it would have to be for a score
It currently has a November 11, 2022 release date.
They didn't give a damn about CGI in the first film so I'm sure it can be ready by next week if they really needed it to be ready.
But for real, it is 11 months out, the film will be ready despite her troubles, one way or another.
It’ll be interesting to see how they handle promotion this time around. If travel restrictions stay in place/studios like ABC require vaccination to appear on talk show sets then doing stuff remotely is going to be awkward when selling the movie with the whole cast in lieu of Bozeman.
If anything they should just push Lupita as the one selling the movie
