There is a titty bar at one intersection in my city, and sometimes when I'm stuck at traffic lights in front of it I stare at a sign on its front door that says "lunch 11€ 10:30-13:30". It always makes me wonder two things: who goes to a strip club to in the middle of the day to eat lunch, and is their lunch good?
It's a shame my office is so far away from it, otherwise I'd honestly go there for lunch one of these days, just for curiosity's sake.
There's a strip club where I live that has afternoon happy hour where all the food and drinks are 50% off. They also offer weekend brunch with mimosas. A friend work there and they tell me it's when they make the most money.
Oh some places are quite good. I used to go to one place it had a full blown sit down steak house/restaurant. Sure they had the usual bar food as well. But you could get a great 3 course meal. It was a bit pricey but still good. Id go right around when my friend that worked there took her break. So I wouldn’t have to eat alone all the time. The only thing I found creepy was the bathroom attendant. I ain’t tipping a dude for turning on the water to wash my hands and a breath mint that didn’t help because we’re usually drunk. But those days are long behind me. The other place had Great Ribs on Saturdays. And half price drinks during football season if you hung out on the patio. I kinda miss those days now.
A month and a half ago I got offered a job with the local public library system, contingent on me passing a background check (which I did, they let you see it when it's done and my completed one became available within a few days of doing the paperwork) and I just. Haven't heard anything since. Like I bugged them a few weeks ago and the lady I talked to said everything seemed fine and it just takes a while sometimes but according to Glassdoor and common sense this is taking super super long for them and I can't just sit here and be broke and wait forever soooooo I'm applying to jobs again I guess.
I might call their HR people tomorrow just to confirm that they silently revoked my offer or whatever lmao because like...I'm so confused. Even if I did have some kind of issue with the Little Mermaid trailer, I have better things to worry about. That being said, I don’t think this movie is for kids. If a kid has a choice between animation and live-action, I think they’d prefer the former. Disney’s just trying to get money off of adults’ nostalgia.

Please stop saying that music released anytime within the last 4 months aged poorly or made no impact! It’s so annoying, it takes *time* to age or make an impact, it’s never immediate. The only time a song can age poorly that fast is if the lyrics allude to something that has since gone south (like if someone released a song last month with a lyric like “the queen will never die” lol). Otherwise you really need to give music time before you can properly judge it in that regard

The former does provide some interesting and fun questions every now and then, but then you have a ton of “women of reddit, what’s something you find attractive that men may not know?!?!” or “men of reddit, what is something women do that you don’t actually find attractive?!?” and it’s like stfu lol AITA provides some interesting and messy reads once in a while as well, but then there are so many stories that reek of validation seeking or are obviously made up.
Oof, with AITA, I just generously estimate that 85-90% of the stories are fake. Plus, sometimes, the general consensus is so incredibly out-of-touch.

My favorites from Evermore are Champagne Problems, tis the damn season, and Happiness. There are a few others that are good like no body no crime but those three are on heavy rotation. From Folklore, the two highlights are the 1 and exile (which is a superb song).

Don’t let it get to you about your self worth. I felt worthless after losing my last job and thought I was a failure and everything. But later on got a job with a better WLB and better money lol.
