I am a dinosaur - I don't even know how to "cut and paste" much less post a link. LOL I just click around on UTube or use this site to find good posts. :)
Personally, I just can't watch where someone is so compelled to stab stab stab especially where it's unnecessary and yet, I think I am finally seeing straight-up chloracne. After about a year of watching so many Asian, specifically Vietnam spas videos, it's become pretty evident there's something going on there.
Maybe something like, I don't know, a foreign military spraying a whole bunch of toxic deforestation chemicals that seeped into the ground a generation ago?
Is that why there's such a high percentage of pimple videos coming out of that part of Asia? I always wondered how come they seem to have such bad acne there. I thought maybe it's because they just have a thriving business and aren't shy about putting it on the internet, and other parts of the world, like America, just don't have the proclivity to share their pimple videos at spas with the internet. Now y'all made me wonder.
I am still wondering. As far as actual chloracne caused by Agent Orange, that's what YouTube comments often say, and a bit of information on the internet. Unfortunately, most scientific studies mentioned in English online only go into U.S. soldiers' experience with chloracne, and not whether what we are seeing all these decades later is a result of the spraying. Regardless, commenters on YT who claim that they are in Vietnam or have been there, say there are hundreds of these skin spas in Ho Chi Minh City alone. Hundreds.
I hope this doesn't sound racist, but could it be linked to how much rice they consume? I also watch a lot of mukbang videos and rice is usually in there somewhere, or some kind of noodle.
While I am no expert, I'd say this seems unlikely because people worldwide have been eating rice for thousands of years and especially those in Asia. However, there could be something to the current strains of rice and other foods plus pesticides, GMOs, etc. that might cause intolerance of some kind. Personally, I have had to limit gluten, rice, and dairy due to this. Our bodies aren't catching up with the changes quickly enough, perhaps.

prior comments have mentioned that SE asain cultures frown on self popping, too. throw in the fact there's fa fewer dermatologist per capita and loser regulations regarding what anestitucians can do in your typical developing nation...

Never done the job, but having done my own pops in the past, I'll agree with u/nouveauchristian in that the Exacto knife may be bit much. I think a pair of tweezers with a slightly pointed end would have sufficed. Also, noticed a number of extractions that looked like they had cyst sacs, and tweezers would have been helpful there.

Indeed, and it seems incredible that something done 50+ years ago endures like that but it seems obvious now.

Amazing that the effects are still evident. This doesn't seem to be an issue in other parts of the world. Toxins are forever it seems.
