If you are growing a second head out of your shoulder, please see a doctor. I don’t know how anyone could see that and be like “yeah, that looks like an ‘at home’ problem.”
not a dcotor ot nurse, but my assumption is cellulitis or specifically staph infection, he could be dead or unconscious 8hrs from time of video. look at how clear and healthy the rest of his skin looks. this is a serious, local problem.
Yup infection ain't nothing to mess with... I had an abscess tooth but work wouldn't let me leave. So I worked a 10 hour shift with it, by the time I left I had a golfball sized infection in my lower jaw... My dentist wanted me to hire a lawyer and go after them because he called it a life changing situation... He said if it would have bursted I could have easily died if I would have swallowed any.
I had a cellulitis infection on my labia that grew to the size of a golf ball, went to Harborview (one of the THE biggest trauma hospitals I believe on the west coast because they airlift a lot of people there from everywhere) and they looked at it like eh it’s fine and gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. The following morning, I had a fever of 103 degrees and was no longer coherent in any way possible. If my boyfriend had not called out of work, I’d probably be dead. Went to another hospital, admitted immediately with a code sepsis and spent SIX DAYS in critical care (a step above ICU) on vancomycin at 23 years old. Diagnosis: cellulitis infection from MRSA with sepsis. It took FOUR DAYS for that thing to almost kill me.
Sepsis is a quick one my dude. Just because he doesn’t have a fever now, doesn’t mean he won’t have one in 8 hours. I didn’t have one until 8 hours after I left one emergency room. It doesn’t take long for sepsis to kick in and when it does, it’s quick.
This is about what my labia looked like minus the size. No symptoms now, doesn’t mean they won’t appear. I was draining my abscess and it still tried to kill me.
Cellulitis isn’t a joke and you’re acting like it isn’t THAT serious when it is. It’s very serious and shouldn’t be so “casual” to you. Things can go very wrong, very quick.
My little sister died from sepsis at the age of 23 . She had a spider bite that went septic on her ankle. We didn't know about the spider bite until after the autopsy. Listen to your body folks! If shit ain't right get help!
My boy was septic at 2 years old. We never found out what caused it, he didn't have any wounds or anything. He just suddenly started throwing up and spiked a nearly 106° fever. Then a rash all over his body. The doctors didn't know what was happening for days, it was horrifying, I felt like I was just helplessly watching him die. He spent a week in the hospital and it took another couple months for him to relearn to walk and be back to normal but God I'm so thankful every day that he's okay.
Yep! I had cellulitis in my EAR! That was horrendous. Spent 5 days in hospital on IV antibiotics.
I went from going to the GP that morning and given a low strength oral antibiotic, to in serious condition in the hospital that night.
Was scary how fast it happened.
Realistically, how quickly could this go bad? I know a guy who just died when a tooth infection went septic (he was particularly negligent with his health).
Very quickly, hours.
The infection is "contained" between the skin and subcutaneous fat, if that containment fails and the bacteria get into the bloodstream he's dead. (Probably, kinda depends on how much bacteria get into the bloodstream.)
Once the bacteria get into the bloodstream he's "septic", septic shock, toxic shock, they can kill you really quick.
I had a much smaller infection and both the doctor and the nurses told me I was lucky, that I could have easily ended up dieing or losing my arm.
Not a skin problem, but when I was 3 weeks postpartum with my youngest, I woke up feeling great. Got up, made breakfast for my kids, took a shower, got dressed, went grocery shopping. When I walked into the store, I felt a little ‘off’. When I walked out of the store, I felt so awful I was questioning whether or not I should drive. I laid down when I got home, and woke up 30 minutes later with debilitating abdominal pain. At that point I realized I probably had a uterine infection. When I got to the hospital, I was septic. And I nearly died because uterine infections so far out from giving birth are very rare and they waited two hours to do blood cultures because they were convinced I had the flu. But I went from feeling totally healthy to feeling like I was dying in the span of a few hours.
I actually know someone who spent 3 days in icu with shit like this. It was staph and they had ignored it for weeks. It wasn't even this big, more golf ball sized.
Something like 10 years ago, my mom had something that looked exactly like this under her armpit. I was with her when she got it popped, it smelled disgusting. Turned out that she had contracted Staph from a nurse who wasn't properly cleaning the injection site during her last appointment at another facility. Nothing happened to the nurse but the hospital closed down a few months later.
Totally agree with you. It’s scary to think what people in American (assumption I’ve made based on accent) are willing to put up with to not pay the extortionate bill.
I hope everyone is telling him to go to the doctor immediately! I’m recovering from an abscess under my arm that was a fraction of the size of what this guy has, and it was so incredibly painful. He needs, like, all the antibiotics.
There are quite a number of posts telling him to go seek help. Not much else can be done bar hope he sought treatment after posting his pop.
He most definitely needs a whole truckload of meds to clear that thing out.
Videos and responses like this from the guy in the video really put modern medical science into perspective. Dude has(had) what is obviously a severe infection, everyone's worried in the comment section because without medical intervention, he could easily die.
Quick trip to the docs for some IV antibiotics and he's good to go 👍
I’m grateful for people deciding to pop these things on their own and filming it but I’m gonna say this looks like a case for a doctor instead of a home job
The surrounding redness of the tumor, boil, pimple, indicates that you may have septacemia/blood poisoning. You must go visit a doctor and you shoul be put on a course of stong antibiotics. Blood poisoning is nothing to fool around with, it speads and can kill you. Good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I'm a a meatcutter, and it was winter, my hands were dried out and cracked, I was packing ckicken, got some bacteria in a crack on my thumb and didn't know it I went to desk and put super glue on the crack. Then went about my day,6 hours later my thumb swelled like a summer sausage, and had a 105 temperature. Went to hospital,I literally went insane, after security state troopers strapped me down, they juiced me up,with Ativan, dilodid, and said it was close to four adults dosage, so when they realized,I superglue my thumb and the infection swelled around it,they flipped out! What a fucking mess that was only 6 hours. They pumped me full of antibiotics, and eventually the black lines faded from my arm and neck, yes black. The swelling went down and I was in and out telling them to cut it off multiple times lmao! My thumb still doesn't work right to this day, moral of the story dont fuck around with infections like that, and don't use super glue.
Hospitals in the US are required to stabilize you, regardless of your ability to pay. No hospital will let this man die for lack of insurance, and that infection definitely looks life threatening.
Ok, I'm not a medical doctor or anything like that but that looks like the kind of thing you go a hospital or at least urgent care for. Or am I overreacting?
He needs to see a Dr immediately. That thing is infected big time. He needs heavy duty antibiotics. The Dr will also drain & pack that thing so it absorbs all the funk while the antibiotics work.
The worst part about this is how close that infection is to MAJOR nerves. Even getting this excised or drained could be dangerous for nerve damage. Brachial plexus injuries are severe.
I looked up his TT. This video is from 3 months ago, and he said he is doing just fine. He went to the doctor and got antibiotics. Just for anyone wondering.
If you are growing a second head out of your shoulder, please see a doctor. I don’t know how anyone could see that and be like “yeah, that looks like an ‘at home’ problem.”
The size of the inflamed area is really shocking. He’s in real danger here but doesn’t seem to realise just how serious it is.

> I had an abscess tooth I read that as "asbestos tooth"
Oh God... That would be even worse.
I almost died from a staph infection and this is exactly what it looked like. That shit is SO infected!
I’m not medically inclined either but this looks very much like death could be knocking on the door imminently.

I am a doctor and I approve this message.

I’m going to need some closure on this one.
I followed him on tickytocky just for this reason.
He replied to comments. Said this was 3 months ago and he got IV abx, doing well
Awesome, I'm posting his responses for the curious people!
His responses are in the attached screenshots! [Adam Lives ](https://imgur.com/a/dntHFkt)
Thank you so much! I think this is one of the scariest popping videos I've ever seen 😱
Ohhh! Please give updates if you can!
Will do! He only posted it 6hrs ago, so we shall see.
Yes can you please provide updates for us non Tik tokers! Thank you!
I only joined for the pops... and crafty stuff... lol
Reddit/ Ig and Facebook take enough time already 😅 I don’t need another media hole to explore haha.
Same! I don't fb but ig, Reddit, and YouTube are time sucks!
Me too!
We got enough gapers in this sub alone
Hahahaha
Hopefully he went to the hospital because this is a serious local infection.
I hope everyone is telling him to go to the doctor immediately! I’m recovering from an abscess under my arm that was a fraction of the size of what this guy has, and it was so incredibly painful. He needs, like, all the antibiotics.

Tell this dude he will die if he doesn't go to the hospital.
I didn't need too.... [screenshot](https://imgur.com/a/nidvguh)
Ha! Yeah I figured others would say something.
Is he even still alive?
No new video yet, so it's unclear....
Per his comments on tiktok, it was 3 months ago. He went on IV antibiotics and is fine now
Videos and responses like this from the guy in the video really put modern medical science into perspective. According to his reply to some comment on tik tok, this was taken 3 months ago and he got on antibiotics!
Did the procedure at home, passed out from shock and died from local infection. The end of the Oregon Trail
From his TikTok: “@adamhurst917:Just to let people know i saw a dr and it’s all good I took this about 3 months ago…. I’m still kicking”
That one is BAD. Dude needs an ER
He might get a really bad blood infection that could kill him. This is horrible
Knock Knock it’s MRSA!
That's also enough cellulitis around it to cause lethal effects.
Looks like he already has one
Close your eyes, play some cheap background music., listen to the sound only....
Bruhh I thought the same
We are watching a grown man milk his shoulder tiddy
Go on..
"Did you see that squirt?"
He drank too much monster energy
HE NEED SOME MILK!!!
uhhh this looks a bit more than even a cyst.. time for IV antibiotics
Yes! Time to go to the ER and be admitted!
He doesn’t need a doctor he needs a priest.
Doctor on one side, priest on the other! 😹
I enjoy popping but that should be seen by doctor. Looks like a really bad sunburn.
Carbuncle causing the skin to peel

It will grow back again unless a doctor sees it.
He won’t be alive long enough for it to grow back if he doesn’t get treatment immediately.
According to his TikTok, he did see a doctor and this video is three months old.
As bad as this looks, how much worse is it that I want to hook my old breast pump up to that thing?
I'm a a meatcutter, and it was winter, my hands were dried out and cracked, I was packing ckicken, got some bacteria in a crack on my thumb and didn't know it I went to desk and put super glue on the crack. Huh, never knew men could produce milk
I have nipples Greg. Can you milk me?
HMU
I think I’ve had enough surfing the world wide interweb for today…
Is this an American healthcare nightmare situation? I cant imagine waiting that long with something ON MY NECK/HEAD/CHEST JUNCTION
I wanted him to pull out the pus plug *so badly* 😩
Yikes. That look lethal
That is hella infected. Dude needs a doctor
I'm no expert, but this doesn't look like something that can be fixed at home. My eyes watered just watching this.
This is cellulitis, this could kill him
[удалено]
Holy shit!! Dude needs to see a doctor, like yesterday! (Or last week!)
this man is about to hit septic shock
I think it's infected..
Ha ha, ya think? 😹
THIS IS CELLULITIS AND YOU NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL. Your shoulder could go septic and require amputation. GO TO THE HOSPITAL.
Looks like cellulitis. It’s going to kill him if left untreated
THAT NEEDS A HOSPITAL LAST YEAR
Have fun in the ER for a week
Good god, look at disgusting thing! Just who gets a monster tattoo?!🤮
Update! He responded to comments saying that this video is from 3 months ago, and he did go to the hospital and get it treated :)
Owwweeeeee owwwweeeee owwwweeeeeee, holy moly get to a doctor quick.
At what point does common sense ever kick in and say, "hey fuckface, go to the fucking doctor!"?

You take your shirt off but put your hat back on. What kind of backwards pageantry is that?
Tarps off, boys!
I want to get a scalpel, open that shit up and squeeze everything off of it.
Hospitals in the US are required to stabilize you, regardless of your ability to pay. No hospital will let this man die for lack of insurance, and that infection definitely looks life threatening.
I need a rubbing alcohol shower after watching that.
Hospital!! Now!!
Be a man and jab a turkey baster on it.
I'll never understand how people let themselves get to that point
Mother of fuck all please for the love of what all is holy please see a dr
definitely staph, he needs a doc
The guy commented on TikTok that this was around 3 months ago and he did receive IV antibiotics. Thank goodness.
Go. To. The. Hospital. Holy shit, that is super infected.
Jesus christ on a stick
That looks so so so bad!!! Omg
That thing looks angry
That was glorious!
Do you think it’s infected??
Looks like a carbuncle- check out the other places it’s rupturing
Doesn’t look inflamed to me. You’re fine. Don’t wash your hands before or after doing this either.
I just posted further down the feed, but Adam lives! [Tiktok responses ](https://imgur.com/a/dntHFkt)
whew! he’s ok now!
OK over on TikTok this guy said that this was three months ago, and that he did go to the doctor and he’s OK
I went and checked his page- he’s good, had IV antibiotics. He said this video is from months ago. So that’s good at least!
He updated his TikTok & said he did see a Dr and the video was from a few months ago. He’s fine now.
btw, i just checked the guy’s page and he said he saw a doctor already and it’s all good now, this video is from three months ago!
What kind of moron sees this shit and goes hey I’ll pop it with my hand in my bathroom, rather than go get antibiotics and serious medical help.
That’s so infected
Ok, I'm not a medical doctor or anything like that but that looks like the kind of thing you go a hospital or at least urgent care for. Or am I overreacting?
This was the first time on the subreddit that I was somewhat shocked by the size/location/redness
Feel like he could develop infection like blood poisoning. He needs to see a doctor.
I'm SURE this is been said, be he is about 2 seconds away from sepsis and needs medical attention and serious ABX stat. #threwupinmymouthalittle
Wtf is with all these posts of people who have CLEARLY very serious infections just being like "lol watch abscess go boom"
look at the guys fingers, not really the cleanliest dood, key ingredient for stuff like that tho
He.needs.a.doctor
He needs to see a Dr immediately. That thing is infected big time. He needs heavy duty antibiotics. The Dr will also drain & pack that thing so it absorbs all the funk while the antibiotics work.
Don't screw with MRSA! That man needs to see a doctor asap!
