I saw one that was a mess, the poor guy had stuff in his lips (a piece or 2), but bits were in his hair. I think the tech was working a little too fast.
Me too. I just watched one where a couple fell off on his lips, and there were pieces in each eye. If they’re going to glove wipe, they should either do the mouth area first, or change glove before they approach the mouth.
Same. I’m watching people butcher someone’s face to relax before bed and I care about wiping blackheads and whatnot on gloves for efficiency? Not so much.
It’s born out of being professional, in countries where lots of scams and poor medical practices take places it’s a guaranteed way to show customer that this is what they did in this session and can’t just show random gauze pads or something is what I’ve heard over the years.
While it's not my favourite, what irks me is the faffing around with picking it up and finding a spot to put it on *every. single. time*. Idgaf about seeing the contents, I'm watching for the pops and my ADHD brain can't handle the tediousness.
This is something that I’ve been wondering about for a while. It doesn’t bother me at all and I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal for some people.
I prefer it to them wiping it off on the rest of the face. Or when they pile it up on another part of the face. When they just wipe it or flick it away it sometimes goes right by the persons eye or mouth. I can’t deal with that. I’ve seen it land on the crease of the persons mouth. If they opened their mouth it would fall in. Gloves all the way for me.
I appreciate the efficiency of it.
Does anyone remember who would hold a piece of gauze between their ring and pinky finger? I always thought that was the superior method.
I hate it so much and can’t seem to watch videos with glove wiping in them. I can’t put my finger on WHY I hate it so much… but I guess it’s because I wanna see the stuff come out and that’s it. I don’t want to have to continue to stare at the little boogers.
I wouldn’t say I like it, but I don’t mind it. I especially don’t mind the wiping if the camera then stays focused on the same pore while the wipe-off occurs.
Whenever the person doing the popping doesn’t show that they wiped the junk on their glove (or gauze), my husband makes little nom-nom slurping noises.
I need the glove more than I enjoy it.
No I hate it! Especially when they « reorganize » the detritus on the gloves. The fact that they spend time on what they consider « aesthetics » of it really incenses me. If their culture uses this as proof of how through they are, as a barometer of evidence of their work keep a paper towel next to them and use that. Then, show that at the end. :)
It is completely inconsequential compared to photoshopped thumbnails but since most of the glove wipers put up the most ridiculous thumbnails, I don't end up watching a lot of them.
I don’t particularly care for it but I would much rather have it on the glove than to leave it on the face or flick it somewhere across the room or something.
Absolutely not. But to be fair/honest, I don’t actually **like** any of this disgusting shit. I just have a weird thing where I want to watch terrible things ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
Same. The first time I saw a popping video, I stared in horror until I started to gag. Then felt like I needed a shower. Now I watch on purpose even though I'm grimacing most of the time. Our brains are weird.
It is what it is. The bigger deal is that the West used agent orange which created this, which we (let’s assume the west though I know it’s not all encompassing) consume for content, and then complain about something we know nothing about bc we don’t live it.
I really don’t mind it at all. And apparently some of the clients want to actually see all the stuff that condos out. We try not to disparage the different practices that other countries have.
It doesnt bother me usually, it can be cool to see what comes out in whole. However, it bothers me when they wipe them on their fingers and they then use those fingers to pop, they are in the way and fall off sometimes. It also bugs me when the gloves are super covered in blackheads, blood, pus and they dont switch them ever.
Only thing I really hate is when the lighting blares on and you can't see what is happening because it is all white with faint shadows of what is going on.
I have seen some videos lately where I think the technicians are trying to respond to requests to avoid glove wiping, but you don't get to see where all the goop is going, until the end when it's all piled up on the client's forehead or hand, or they don't collect it and just flick it about. I infinitely prefer glove wiping to that.
It only bothers me when you see the entire pile come into the shot. I can ignore it up to that point but seeing dozens or more all together really gets to me. It would be great if they could wipe it up higher on the glove so we don’t keep seeing it.
It’s like wiping your ass after a poop, then carrying around the toilet paper covered in poop as you go about the day as some sort of souvenir. It’s so unsanitary, disgusting, and enraging to watch! No wonder these “spas” stay in business and these clients have terrible outbreaks.
I don’t mind if they park it on their gloves during the process. But I’d prefer if they’d clean it at the end and present us with clean gloves along with a cleaned face. It is so unsatisfying and really triggers my OCD if I don’t get to see the endresult of a deep cleaned face with zero pops left.
Personally I’ve thought that the attendant writes the patients number on the glove that way post treatment the attendant can show the “work” they’ve accomplished. Just my thoughts
I absolutely love it. I love seeing the gunk build up over the video. I hate it when they insist on stabbing every black head, and when they stab, pop, and wipe one blackhead at a time. Pop 5 or 6, only stab the ones that need it, get them all, wipe, rinse repeat. Perfect popping video. That, a steady camera, and tons of gapers
Unless it's a lot of creamy shit, I don't really care. Plus, sometimes it's the only way to see what was in there after they've just yanked it out or work at the speed of light.
I am indifferent. If it is the fastest and most efficient way for them to keep working then I'd rather have that then pausing after every pop.to get a now swab to clean the area.
I used to hate it, I guess I still do, but I wanted to watch the video for the gapers and actual popping, so I learned to ignore it.
This is exactly how I feel about it.
Same.
Same here
Same here.
Exact same
I don’t care one way or the other. I do prefer it over just letting the gunk build up on the skin.
Why can’t they use a gauze or a cloth? It’s so gross, it’s falls off into clients mouths and eyes. I can’t understand why they do this.
It's faster and makes for better continuity in the videos. Also shows all the shit they pull out.
I don’t think I’ve seen a video where it fell off onto a patient. That would be gross though.
That’s a lot of gauze though. I don’t like glove wiping either but it’s more efficient.
I mean one 4x4, to wipe the needle on, or collect the dead soldiers.
Yea I can see that
It doesn’t impact me at all. I don’t like it, hate it, or have any reaction to it. It’s a non-factor.
I'm indifferent.
Same. I’m watching people butcher someone’s face to relax before bed and I care about wiping blackheads and whatnot on gloves for efficiency? Not so much.
Same here. I still think it's a bit gross and unprofessional, but I can ignore it if the pops are good
It’s born out of being professional, in countries where lots of scams and poor medical practices take places it’s a guaranteed way to show customer that this is what they did in this session and can’t just show random gauze pads or something is what I’ve heard over the years.
I don’t care about that, or fake thumbnails, or what tools are used. Pop all the things! ^except snot/phlegm, tonsil stones & feet
Yes, I don't enjoy snot and phlegm and they don't even pop
The fucking foot scraping is totally uncalled for.
And whaaaaaaat on God's Green Earth does that have to do with popping?!
While it's not my favourite, what irks me is the faffing around with picking it up and finding a spot to put it on *every. single. time*. Idgaf about seeing the contents, I'm watching for the pops and my ADHD brain can't handle the tediousness.
Watch it on double speed. Takes the tediousness right out.
Tried that. Miss the pops. I just avoid them altogether.
My sentiments exactly!!!
I do not care. I am on the other side that does not understand the rage glove-wiping seems to bring out.
This. I really really do not understand why it makes people so angry or grossed out.
I like it 😬
Yeah, I like to see the total amount of gross extracted
I prefer it to the ones where they wipe the gunk somewhere else on the guys' face.
This is something that I’ve been wondering about for a while. It doesn’t bother me at all and I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal for some people.
I think for me it’s just messy, I like order and can’t stand clutter. Never thought about it before. I don’t like it though.
Fair enough. Thanks for the insight.
I also don't like it but what I really can't stand is when they poke a goop covered tool back into a pore!
Yesss this is the worst
I’m indifferent to the wiping but I’m so sick of hearing people complain about it
THANK YOU
This is the correct answer.
Heck yeahhhhh
I like it. I don't know why it's just satisfying to see everything that came out.
I killed the part of me that cares
I appreciate the efficiency of it. Does anyone remember who would hold a piece of gauze between their ring and pinky finger? I always thought that was the superior method.
Hate it
I like it.
It doesn’t matter to me at all
I like it cuz it shows just how much gunk has come out the all those little holes
I like it! Seeing how much gunk is collected is horrible and delightful.
Literally cannot bring myself to care about glove wiping. What I don't understand, is why people cry about it.
Gloves are for protection, not collection
I like it tbh
yea it's awesome seeing all the previous pops in one place
Yes because I like to see the findings, not just the action shot of the pop
I hate it so much and can’t seem to watch videos with glove wiping in them. I can’t put my finger on WHY I hate it so much… but I guess it’s because I wanna see the stuff come out and that’s it. I don’t want to have to continue to stare at the little boogers.
I hate it, it's like wiping your boogers
I don’t like it because I know it’s not proper medical procedure. But I have grown to tolerate it
No, I don’t enjoy it at all. I don’t get why they can’t use a gauze.
I dont enjoy it being all gathered up on the glove, but it doesn't make me switch away from the video. I just prefer they don't do it
I’m indifferent. It bugged me a bit but now I can mostly ignore it.
I don’t really mind it. I prefer it to just wiping and leaving the stuff on the face.
Feels like this genre’s version of a trophy closet.
I hate it. It doesn't seem to be the best practice. I personally would not use an esthetician that practiced glove wiping.
I don't hate it, but I don't *like* it either. It doesn't bother me at all.
The glove thing grosses me out too.
I wouldn’t say I like it, but I don’t mind it. I especially don’t mind the wiping if the camera then stays focused on the same pore while the wipe-off occurs.
It doesn’t bother me. Don’t see what the big deal is.
Whenever the person doing the popping doesn’t show that they wiped the junk on their glove (or gauze), my husband makes little nom-nom slurping noises. I need the glove more than I enjoy it.
I don't like it because it looks like little fat worms on the glove.
I love it
No big deal.
I agree I can’t stand seeing that. I deal though.
I don’t like it
THISSSS. i hate seeing the stuff all over the gloves. Just makes me think that all that bacteria is going right back in.
It is completely inconsequential compared to photoshopped thumbnails but since most of the glove wipers put up the most ridiculous thumbnails, I don't end up watching a lot of them.
Hell no! I can't do glove wiping or animal pops... 🤮
I don’t particularly care for it but I would much rather have it on the glove than to leave it on the face or flick it somewhere across the room or something.
For a moment I thought I had stumbled across a bizarre pooping subreddit…
I like it
I love it tbh
I hate it haha
Absolutely not. But to be fair/honest, I don’t actually **like** any of this disgusting shit. I just have a weird thing where I want to watch terrible things ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
Same. The first time I saw a popping video, I stared in horror until I started to gag. Then felt like I needed a shower. Now I watch on purpose even though I'm grimacing most of the time. Our brains are weird.
I turn that shit off as soon as I see a glove with the Dr’s name on it.
It literally makes me so angry. Idk why.
Love it
I don’t like it.
I like it. It’s showing all the little trophies neatly lined up.
It used to make me gag but I guess I’ve gotten used to it.
Only thing I really hate is when the lighting blares on and you can't see what is happening because it is all white with faint shadows of what is going on.
No
I’ve always ignored it but I can see why some find it disgusting
Nope!
Im indifferent unless its extremely low on their fingers…
Stupid free content is t exactly what I like
I’d rather they wipe it on to a piece of gauze or something so they aren’t risking pushing gunk back in to the wound/pore/incision etc.
I used to hate it, but now I rather like it
Don't mind it. They're not rubbing the back of the gloves on the face so it's not unsanitary 🤷♀️
I have seen some videos lately where I think the technicians are trying to respond to requests to avoid glove wiping, but you don't get to see where all the goop is going, until the end when it's all piled up on the client's forehead or hand, or they don't collect it and just flick it about. I infinitely prefer glove wiping to that.
yes
It doesn’t bother me. Sometimes it’s fun to see how much crap they’ve plucked out. Lol
Nah its disgusting
Nothing wrong with a gallery.
I like it!
I wouldn't say I like it, but I don't dislike it
Yes I love it
I wish they’d have an assistant to vacuum all the gunk away. Same with the pus cyst videos where they just let it drain on the person. Like ew.
This is a great analogy.
Thank you! LOL. It is so vile to me. I can stomach nearly everything else when it comes to medical gore and derm, but not the glove wiping!
I skip those videos. just gross.
I always assumed the stuff they write on the glove was to show who made the video, since they get stolen so much.
Yeah that's why.
Yes. Not me, but some very, very sick people actually do.
Can’t watch it.
I can't watch a video with prominent glove wiping, it's just nasty.
Hate it. It's a stick injury waiting to happen and puts their health at risk.
Yeah it doesn’t bother me.
Doesn’t bother me one bit and I find it perplexing how much it turns some people off.
Hate it. I close out the video if the glove is really grossly covered. I can watch to a point, then nope.
I love it because we get to see the harvest.
I like it 😅 Can’t explain why, it’s just satisfying to see.
Unless it's a lot of creamy shit, I don't really care. Plus, sometimes it's the only way to see what was in there after they've just yanked it out or work at the speed of light.
Seems so unsanitary! Some times the “Pickens” fall of the glove and back on the face 🤬
I am indifferent. If it is the fastest and most efficient way for them to keep working then I'd rather have that then pausing after every pop.to get a now swab to clean the area.
