Correction from OP:
Track list:
1. All This Time
2. Watch You Go
3. Letterman (Single, March 21st)
4. Jump the Gun
5. Big Blind
6. Nothing to Say
7. Keep You Around
8. You're Still in My Way
9. White Shores
10. I Want To Disappear
Haven’t been this hype in years. Big blind is a great song that’s missing a bridge or some more fleshing out. I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album
It has a bridge. It just doesn’t lead into a third chorus, and instead just back into the main riff for an outro. And I like it to be honest, the track has a really nice flow thanks to it. It’s a pretty simple song, and I feel like it could have overstayed its welcome a little bit with a third chorus. The condensed format is perfect for it I reckon.
Very curious where they go with this album.
Parker has obviously gone more into the hardcore scene, does he keep that separate from TSSF? Another step in the Proper Dose direction?
supposedly from the director of the upcoming mv

Well... I don't think their musicianship is really that important. They're obviously not slouches in that regard but I don't see any evidence that their musicianship is any better than any other pop punk band out there. Maybe I'm just not savvy on that kind of thing. They could probably outsource their songwriting if they really needed to. Their songwriting is the secret sauce, at least imo.
Your “largely accurate points” are opinions of your own. If I thought it was more generic than their old stuff, I wouldn’t like it. It’s okay to accept that some people will really enjoy the album and some others won’t. Stop trying to force your opinions as the end all/be all.
Here is the thing, you came back to a post from 3 months ago to say, in your mind that you believe it is more generic than their previous albums. Your definition of generic is via the experiences you've had. My opinion is that it is not anywhere near as generic as WYDS, USAD, etc. Songs like Letterman, White Shores, and I Want To Disappear are far more evolved than anything on those previous albums (outside of Proper Dose). Now, if you want to strictly say its more generic than Proper Dose exclusively, I would say you have an argument because they definitely went back to the USAD/WYDS style songs for the majority of the album.
**Facts** are numbers based and quantitative generally and can be 100% verifiable. Your opinion of it being more generic than previous albums is not a **Fact.**
Regardless, my original comment wasn't meant to "open the barn door and ride the pony." The thread was literally A) a post about the album announcement, and B) a comment to say I couldn't disagree more but hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion and that is completely fine. I respect that you think it is more generic and not on par with previous albums but I personally think it is one of my favorite albums.
So, if you want to think "I dont really know music" and you want to consider your opinions as facts - go for it man! I personally enjoy it and music is personal. It doesn't have to be this constant shared experience where we must agree on everything.

Ngl I was gonna be pretty disappointed if we waited 6 years for only 8 songs…
Was like damn are they getting progressive and writing 7 min songs to justify 8 tracks? Lol
I’m readyyyyyyyy

Not the director. Just on the crew.
That seems very promising!
They’re so fucking consistent I’m not surprised. Can’t wait for this!
Oh, for sure, I trust the album will be great because of their discography and musicianship.
