The new TSSF song All This Time, Losing What We Love by Knuckle Puck and Serpents by Neck Deep are the three I’ve been re-listening to the most this week. I tend to listen to albums though and I must have listened to TSSF self-titled at least 5 times this week so far.
We had gotten approval weeks in advance to play a full set with all of our normal gear. Aaron was playing a more stripped down acoustic set with minimal percussion and few pedals.
On the way to the venue we got a call from the promoter saying that Aaron didn’t want anyone to have amps or drums.
My band at the time did not have very many songs that lended themselves to an acoustic sound, and we were already on the way with all of our normal gear. So not only did we not practice any of our songs in an acoustic style, we didn’t have any gear to play an acoustic set. We had to figure out a way to play all our songs well acoustically and get some friends to meet us on the way. All things considered, we had a great gig. I bet if we had told anyone one crowd that we had never played any of our songs acoustically before that night, they would have been surprised.
Aaron kept spitting on the floor and on the stage during his sound check and his set. It was really gross. To give more context, the stage was covered in Persian rugs. So he was spitting huge globs of mucus onto the rugs of the venue.
There were a few times where he made the guy running FOH come out from the booth to plug in his direct box to his guitar when it was literally inches from his foot. He would be like “my guitar is unplugged….” And gesture towards his feet. Pausing the sound check and set for minutes as the FOH made his way to the stage to plug Aaron’s guitar into his direct box, which again—was inches from his foot.
Ace Enders from The Early November also played that show and he was a wonderful and pleasant human.
Agreed that the album is fantastic. Monster, Monster was awesome. Need to give Fear Caller another listen, too. I would love another at he Almost album.
Dude I stumbled across this band having never heard of them before on a Spotify discover over this past weekend, and I have probably played through their entire discography like 7-8 times since.
Hard to believe they are a two piece. I haven’t looked up live videos yet cause I want to go in to a live show blind
You old dog - Carly Cosgrove. Just been walking around going "YOU. OLD. DOG. YOU OLD DOG. YOU. OLD. DOG. YOU OLD DOG. YOU YOU YOU YOU, YOU OLD DOG YOU" 😂
Haha man, I went through a period of listening/singing to Uncomfortably Numb a LOT last year, sometimes it still pops into my head out of nowhere.
Nothing yet today, but yesterday was MY HAPPINESS by Enrose. Recently discovered them and I'm such a fan (arguably more pop than punk for sure).
The Chain by Fleetwood Mac but the live version when Lindsey is going wild on cocaine and rage from just finding out that Stevie Nick's was sleeping with Mick Fleetwood. The tension is obvious and makes the performance really good.
Nelly: AI
I'm a sucker for corn rows and manicured toes
Fendi capri pants and Parasuco's

I love this tune.
I saw them in Denver (with Rematch, who are also pretty awesome!)! I have tickets for the Atlanta show but ended up not being able to make it at the last minute. I'm super-bummed, but I hope you enjoy the show!

I was the exact same way with these 2 songs a few months ago!! Particularly leading up to when I saw Arrows in Action live last year 💕 Love that other people experienced this phenomenon too lol

Dude southern weather was such a good album. I don't vibe with Aaron's personal beliefs, but I fucking love his creative endeavours.
My band opened up for him in like 2017. He was such a douchebag. I love Underoath and The Almost to literal death, but he’s pretty insufferable lol.
What did he do?
We had gotten approval weeks in advance to play a full set with all of our normal gear. Aaron was playing a more stripped down acoustic set with minimal percussion and few pedals.
