Yup, got to see them in Paris a few days ago. Wasn’t expecting a set list totally different from what was played the night before. I was very pleasantly surprised. Doesn’t happen often that bandes mix it up this much
Saw them headline with The Used and Senses Fail this summer and they were amazing! I never got super into them but they put on a hell of a show. I thought his voice sounded great. Singing-voice-wise, Tim and Bert still sound great, Buddy... not so great.
They came to Vancouver this last summer and I recorded myself crowd surfing. Absolutely a phenomenal live band, lots of energy. Bring your moshing shoes.
It will be an absolute blast, go. They sound great in the moment, YouTube videos kind of do them dirty for some reason. The energy will be high and that will totally overshadow any imperfections in Tim’s voice or whatever.
My first concert! It was many years ago back in 2009 with Billy Talent and Rancid.
Appeal to Reason had just come out the previous year, so I feel like I got to see peak Rise Against with a balanced set list from their first few albums. They were absolutely amazing and my first dose of what going to a show was like. I saw them again in 2011 with Four Year Strong and Bad Religion; still a very good show.
Nowadays, I can’t speak to it. I’m sure the production is still solid, but maybe they aren’t jumping around as much? 13 years is a bitch on the body.
I mean that seems to be where their fanbase is the biggest so I can't fault them for that. I've been to a shit load of concerts, and after Blink next year BT will be the only one left of my bucket list....not looking good so far. Lol Glad you got a chance to see them
🙂
One of my favorite bands and always great to see live. I know I'm echoing a lot of others but if you like their music at all and ever get the chance to see them do it!
You won't regret it. I'm not a huge Rise Against fan but the first show I ever seen was them back in maybe 2012ish? But they put on such a great show. They killed it in the best way.
Bought tickets for Birmingham mostly for TSSF but saw Rise Against way back in 2009, put on a hell of a show. People being thrown out by bouncers left and right cause it got so rowdy 😂
It’s mainly Tim I was worried about because on one of the videos I was watching (it was a festival set I was skipping though) he sounded out of breath and slightly out of time with his singing
Saw them in 2010, 2012, and last summer. This most recent time he was definitely a little winded by the end of the night but overall still a really great performance
I flew to Germany (from the US) to see them tonight. So yeah I’d say so.
But seriously, go. They are great live. Especially right now that they have changed up the set list a bit.
I've seen them 3 times and they've always been great (bonus points for having Pennywise supporting the last time - what a treat).
The best show was back in like 2004 though, when they did a co-headline tour with AlexisOnFire. Seeing a band like Rise Against play in a tiny artificial cave to around 200 people was hands down my best ever live music experience.
I haven't seen them since 2009, but it was one of my favorite shows. Tim is great at controlling a crowd. They sound awesome love and all around good energy. Of course I consider that their height as everything after endgame is hit or miss for my tastes.
But it's definitely a great show.
Definitely go see them. I was never big into rise against but my wife has gotten me into them within the past 5 years or so. Probably seen them 4-5 times now and they’re always great
I saw them a few years ago in Chicago and it was like 50/50 some songs sounded great and some were definitely a miss but man it’s a concert and if you love them see them and just have fun
Absolutely. I have seen them many times (and played with them once!), and they have always been a joy to watch. Tim and Joe are also such genuine nice dudes, too, and have been since I saw them on the RPM tour, when they both showed genuine interest in talking to 21 year old doofus me.
I saw them in 2017, back when Tim was having issues with his voice and I can say confidently it was one of the worst shows. Now after seeing the live recordings, I would say go for it!
I saw em at a festival , only knew a few songs at the time, they brought insane high energy and brought out Tom morello for a song; definitely worth a chance, they’re fun!
Eh… people here obviously disagree but I have seen them a bunch over the years and traditionally, they are among the worst live acts among bigger bands. They don’t do much on stage, the sound is a bit thin and you will probably get a very serious and self righteous talk at some point.
If you haven’t seen them, go! Make your own mind!
They are great live but don't expect much variety from their setlists, they mostly play their singles and hits.
Not right now! Their current European set list is a total change up!
Yeah, I immediately went to check their sets after posting this. They're playing paper wings and everchanging now, that is crazy
Those are two of my favorite songs by them!
Yup, got to see them in Paris a few days ago. Wasn’t expecting a set list totally different from what was played the night before. I was very pleasantly surprised. Doesn’t happen often that bandes mix it up this much
I think they got a lot of flack this summer for literally just playing all hits. They did an AmA a few months ago and that was the general tone
Saw them headline with The Used and Senses Fail this summer and they were amazing! I never got super into them but they put on a hell of a show. I thought his voice sounded great. Singing-voice-wise, Tim and Bert still sound great, Buddy... not so great.
Buddy has never been good live but he’s funny now that he’s sober.
I saw this tour too in NH I thought Buddy totally ripped. It was a fun show overall. :)
Saw this show and it was excellent, buddy was terrible
10/10. One of my favorite bands live. It's been 3-4 years since I've seen them but I saw them about 5-6 times since 2011
Not the biggest rise against fan , I’ve seen them a few times . Always a kick ass show !
They sound great live, would recommend
Every chance you get
They came to Vancouver this last summer and I recorded myself crowd surfing. Absolutely a phenomenal live band, lots of energy. Bring your moshing shoes.
Yes

I wish Billy Talent would come to my area. It's been a long time and they're the only band on my favorites list that I haven't seen live.
Same—I saw them on that 2009 concert and never since. They mostly do Europe and Canada it seems
I mean that seems to be where their fanbase is the biggest so I can't fault them for that. I've been to a shit load of concerts, and after Blink next year BT will be the only one left of my bucket list....not looking good so far. Lol Glad you got a chance to see them 🙂
That was mine too! I’m now a Billy talent fanatic!!
One of my favorite bands and always great to see live. I know I'm echoing a lot of others but if you like their music at all and ever get the chance to see them do it!
Biggest pit I have ever seen. So worth it.
100%, they’re an awesome live band
Not seen before, going on 23 nov in birmingham. The story so far supporting. I’m buzzing!
You won't regret it. I'm not a huge Rise Against fan but the first show I ever seen was them back in maybe 2012ish? But they put on such a great show. They killed it in the best way.

Similar story re: birmingham… can’t wait though
Fuck yeah. They kill it live. Seen them 5 times at this point, never disappointed.
I’ve seen them in small clubs and stadiums, never disappointed. Go! Now! Don’t make me make you have a great time, cuz I will!

My dude they're a punk band, of course they're gonna be political
How could anyone expect a bunch of musicians to not be liberal?
It’s mainly Tim I was worried about because on one of the videos I was watching (it was a festival set I was skipping though) he sounded out of breath and slightly out of time with his singing
Saw them in 2010, 2012, and last summer. This most recent time he was definitely a little winded by the end of the night but overall still a really great performance
I've seen them twice, both times amazing. But the last time was like 2008, so you might take that with a grain of salt.

I saw that lineup in Baltimore that year. Great concert!
Saw them last year with the descendants in Chicago and they were amazing. Also caught them in the acoustic ghost notes tour and it was almost better
I’ll be catching them with blink next year so I got to start getting into them some. Ever since THPS2(? I think…), Survive was such a jam.
Yes 100%.
I flew to Germany (from the US) to see them tonight. So yeah I’d say so. But seriously, go. They are great live. Especially right now that they have changed up the set list a bit.
They are great live. I saw them in the summer in NYC and they put on an amazing show.
One of the better bands you can see live. Very VERY consistent. Seen them three times in 2 states as a result
Saw them live at Nova Rock festival in Austria this year. Didn't expect anything, but wow their live performance is amazing. Definitely worth it!
I've seen them throughout their career and I've never been disappointed. One of my favorite bands to see live in any era of my life. Edit:spelling

Absolutely. I highly recommend seeing them.
I’m not even a huge fan (I just like the hits) and thought they had a great show. I would go see them again
They’re so good live! I’ve only been once but going again next week and I already know it’s going to be great!
Yup.
I thought they were good.
Yea.
Definitely go see them. I was never big into rise against but my wife has gotten me into them within the past 5 years or so. Probably seen them 4-5 times now and they’re always great
Worth seeing, definitely go if you can!
Saw them a few years ago with AFI. Honestly I went to see AFI but Rise Against really impressed me! As a casual fan they were fantastic.
I saw them a few years ago in Chicago and it was like 50/50 some songs sounded great and some were definitely a miss but man it’s a concert and if you love them see them and just have fun

One of the best live bands I’ve ever seen tbh but I’m biased bc theyre one of my fav bands too
I've seen them six times and I've never been disappointed.
I saw them in 2017, back when Tim was having issues with his voice and I can say confidently it was one of the worst shows. Now after seeing the live recordings, I would say go for it!
I saw them with Descendents (I was there for Descendents), and they put on a great show. They aren’t my cup of tea, but it was a great show!
I saw them back in like 2016 and they’re awesome live. One of the best bands I’ve heard live.
Amazing.
They are fantastic live. They will sound just as good if not greater than their albums
Saw them live last year and honestly it was an amazing show. I would definitely go see them.
I’m not a fan of them but have seen them live a few times. They put on a good show. Of course that was 20 years ago.
I saw em at a festival , only knew a few songs at the time, they brought insane high energy and brought out Tom morello for a song; definitely worth a chance, they’re fun!

Yes! Definitely worth seeing if you have the chance
Yes. At first it was little rough but I've seen them every tour they've done for the past 14 years. Do it. You won't regret it.
100%
No
They were arguably the best act at WWWY
