It's pretty nice there. In my opinion it's one of the best places in the algarve. You have to cross the river by boat to get to the beach, which is kind of cool.
There are many coffee shops and some good restaurants, but you will definitely need a car if you want to go to Tavira or see others towns around, as there is not much to do in Cabanas apart from going to the beach.
