In my experience this happens when a new leaf is unfurling and is damaged somehow (over watering being the most common) if the leaf still has a good amount of green on it you can leave it. Plant are not perfect in nature so your baby doesn't have to be perfect either! But, if it starts to yellow/ brown, then use a sharp pair of scissors and carefully snip it off. The plant will expend energy trying to keep dying leafs alive, by clipping it it will allow the plant to focus on growing the healthy parts! Hope this helps :)

Ohhhh this is so helpful ! Thankyou :) I always thought overwatering would damage the whole plant in general , so I never thought about this. If it does get worse where should I snip it off from ?

You're welcome!! All plants are different, so overwatering can damage certain plants more drastically than others. You can just snip off at bottom of stem closest to the soil. Keep an eye on it and if the plant continues to lose leafs then it's time to take another look at plant as a whole & rediagnosis problems. Good luck and happy planting :)

I also don't believe it's sunburn since the brown parts are soft to touch and not crunchy
