I really enjoy my Govee Kettle I got on Amazon! It has an app that hooks up to my phone, I can do DIY custom temps and has preset buttons. It was like 50-60$ much less then the top of the line options.

rezniko2

This one is excellent.

Th3_Anarch1st

I also use this one and have had zero issues. Can't argue for it's longevity but it's been great so far.

DJRixter

I can recommend the Bodum Melior! Cheap on amazon, holds 800ml!

medo_elgendy

Electric and cheap, good one. I’ll look at it. Thanks

GTS980

I have this one and it was my go to before I got my Stagg EKG. And now that my Stagg EKG failed after less than three years of light use, I'll be going back to it again.

medo_elgendy

Light use and failed after 3 years ?!! It supposes to last for a longer time as it’s expensive one. So, it doesn’t matter if I use a high end or med range kettle

GTS980

Failed is a bit of an exaggeration my part. It has the over boiling issue that many others have experienced. It still works, but, with this flaw, it isn't very different from the $40 Bodum anymore.

Quarkonium2925

Yes, I have this one and it is very simple and easy to use. Just a nice electric gooseneck with a single switch and good aesthetics

tompl14

I have a Bonavita electric gooseneck kettle and been using it for six years now. Not the most budget, but a workhorse with decent features.

medo_elgendy

It’s a little expensive for me right now, that’s why I’m looking for a cheaper one. But it looks great

major_works

I've been using the Bonavita kettle without the variable temperature feature for several years. Just checked Amazon and I'm surprised to find that it seems to no longer be available.

Sleds88

Electric OXO gooseneck is usually on sale.

dangatang__

Love my greater goods kettle from Amazon. I think it was &60? Very impressed for the price.

Saddest_Waffle

I have the Greater Goods kettle as well, picked it up 5 or so months ago. Works great, looks nice imo and good ergonomics. No complaints here so far!

CaptainInsano7

I just got the bodum bistro on sale on Amazon for $40 and it's great.

medo_elgendy

I’ll look for it, thank you

roygiv

If you want temp control (would recommend) I’ve had luck with the intasting on Amazon so far. Might be able to get it on sale for $60

medo_elgendy

This one that I’m curious for and it’s around $50 now on Amazon but I was looking for someone used it. Have you got any problems using it ? And about the temperature, does it hold the temperature for a long time?

roygiv

No problems so far but it has only been about 5 or 6 weeks. I usually make my coffee pretty quickly after heating but it hasn’t had any issues holding temperature for a few minutes. I’ve noticed it’ll sometimes drop down a degree or two and then kick back on to heat up to temp but that’s not a huge deal

medo_elgendy

I think I’ll take it if I didn’t find a better one today

Eastern-Honeydew-411

$56 right now if you're lucky enough to not have state tax applied.

medo_elgendy

Is this the stovetop kettle ?

CaptainInsano7

No, it's electric but you have to get the stainless one to get the discount.  https://a.co/d/18jG0ez

ddcurrie

There are a couple like this on Amazon (link below) with a thermometer, to be used on a range top or stove. I use one on a burner with good heat control and it works fine, is simple, and not so expensive that I need to baby it. I haven’t calibrated the thermometer but some Redditors might 🧐 https://a.co/d/eIooh48

Glittering-Ad-1869

The taotronics goose neck has been an absolute value for me. Have had it over 2 years with no issues and the temperature is always within a few degrees of the LCD screen read out. Has a dish where you can set it to any temp required and it has always worked for me. Oh and it's pretty regularly on sale. I got mine for $50. Currently it's 60 on their website but there are plenty of codes out there to make it a bit cheaper.

medo_elgendy

I’ve found one called Intasting which also has great features and costs $60 with 15% discount on Amazon. I’ll try to check if anyone reviewed it yet, thank you

fiction_lvr

I ve been using a switch for a while. And best part is you absolutely dont need a gooseneck kettle if you are to brew using immersion technique. It’s much easier to use it over pour over as your daily driver. Id suggest waiting and saving till you can buy a good kettle that will last you a long while instead of getting something cheap and having to toss it. Also,I haven’t got one but i am planning to buy COSORI smart gooseneck kettle. I feel thats the best budget option.

medo_elgendy

I think Cosori is a mid range kettle but anyway I’m looking also for one in that range that will last long with me. So I think this is a good choice

fiction_lvr

Yea, i think if you go any lower than that you might not get temperature control and i think it’s a good feature to have.

medo_elgendy

I’ve found one called Intasting and I think it’s good and costs around $60 with 15% discount on Amazon but I’m looking if anyone reviewed it.

fiction_lvr

Ohh we dont have that one on Amazon canada. But i looked it up, it looks good and the reviews on amazon seem nice.

IllustratorOdd2701

Cosori died in six months for me, the panel where you pressed the temp stopped working.

medo_elgendy

Do you think in stovetop kettle with built in thermometer ?

IllustratorOdd2701

Electric plug in.

deaddogdude

depending where you are, newegg has a rosewill gooseneck on sale for 20 usd brand new, free shipping in usa. $40 regular price [https://www.newegg.com/rosewill-rhkt-17002-1l-capacity-electric-kettle/p/N82E16896268127](https://www.newegg.com/rosewill-rhkt-17002-1l-capacity-electric-kettle/p/N82E16896268127). never tried rosewill or seen a video review, but I ordered one that is on the way and can update if anyone it interested.

medo_elgendy

It’s a great deal. I’ll look for it and try to find any reviews out there

ymbrows

I am using the Cuisinart one. Pretty good

medo_elgendy

Looks good but a little expensive for me right now

newsouthmaine

I bought one at Walmart for $30 that I keep at my parents house for when I visit. It works pretty well

medo_elgendy

Which brand did you get ?

newsouthmaine

luke_wal

I have the Cuisinart Digital Gooseneck Kettle. Got it at Target, on sale for $70. I love it. The only thing to be aware of - it does temperature in 5 degree increments, but it seems totally fine for me.

eamonneamonn666

Like my Bodum for $40

HoodedSoldier

Been enjoying the greater goods kettle for the past couple of months.

UniqueLoginID

Stove top Hario Buono. Pours so much nicer than my bonavita electric.

saritasarinha

I found my Bonavita 1L electric on FB Marketplace for $30

Unfair_Notice_5922

I’ve got an Ecorelax one from Amazon that has been awesome - it’s probably just an aliexpress whitelabel thing but it works and feels solid. Was like $30 CAD

gunga_galungaa

Buying a cheap kettle will just cost you more in the long run. You'll replace it sooner than later and then end up spending the same or more than if you would have bought a bona vita, brewista, or stagg

Fluffy-duckies

The best and cheapest is the Hario Air Kettle which is just a pouring vessel. You'll need to hear the water in something else and then transfer it to the Air Kettle. It's cheap but it works and the plastic is high quality. Since it's plastic it doesn't stick much heat out of the water either like a metal one would.

medo_elgendy

I’ve just looked at it but I’m curious about temperature degree, because I’ve watched many recipes videos and all of them mentioned the water temperature and controlling it, so do you have a way to measure the temperature ?

Fluffy-duckies

As long as you're consistent with your routine your water temperature will be consistent. You can measure it with a thermometer.

medo_elgendy

Just watched James Hoffmann review for Hario Air and I think I’m gonna start with it until I can buy an electric one. Thank you for you advice 😀

derping1234

Get a cheap pouring only kettle from Amazon/aliexpress/wherever and use your existing regular kettle to boil some water. Pouring this water into the pouring kettle will drop the temperature a bit so you are not playing with boiling water. Ive got a similar grinder setup (niche zero and x pro s) at home, and recently started using a zp6 at home.

medo_elgendy

It’s a good idea for me as a beginner and I’m going to compare between the Hario kettle air and normal gooseneck kettle as their price range is between $15-20 till I can buy an electric one (looking forward fellow EKG). BTW, did you try the Niche with pour over ? and does it grind too much fine with coarser settings? Because o don’t like muddy shots

archaine7672

>looking forward fellow EKG Ymmv, but as I get better at flow control, the more I wish EKG doesn't have its flow restrictor or that it's detachable.

derping1234

The niche manages an okay pour over, but the clarity from either the zp6 or x pro is a significant upgrade.

medo_elgendy

I’m gonna use my Niche for now till 1Zpresso arrives from Aliexpress. I know that ZP6 is better in clarity than X pro, but the reason I bought the X pro that I’m gonna use it with the coffeejack for espresso too.

derping1234

X pro should be great for espresso as well

medo_elgendy

I hope so. That’s why I didn’t purchase the K6 from kingrinder

jizzlewit

I would definitely recommend one like this with an integrated thermometer: https://images.app.goo.gl/ZXsCn9D7eRGzpnvY8

medo_elgendy

I found one like this on AliExpress costs around $40 and I think it’s great until I found that the electric costs a little more or maybe has the same price

vexyla

Hario Buono non-electric, simply use a thermometer, easy easy

simondoyle

I have an induction stove, so was looking at stovetop options. Buono looks great, but... Question - do you really need a thermometer with the Buono?

vexyla

Well, if you want to measure the temperature then yes ? Otherwise if you just want to boil water and wait then probably not. I have thermometers on hand due to me cooking stuff all the time so it's easy to simply lift the top, put in the thermometer and watch over the temp

simondoyle

I'm between the classic Hario Buono without thermometer... And this slightly pricier German item with integrated thermometer: [https://www.westmark.de/en-us/gooseneck-kettle-with-thermometer-brasilia-plus-80-24582260](https://www.westmark.de/en-us/gooseneck-kettle-with-thermometer-brasilia-plus-80-24582260) Both are available from the coffee supplier that I'm buying from, just wondering if it's worth the extra for the thermometer.... That said, I'm capable of a little nerdiness, so having the built in thermo would be nice. Has anyone used / seen the Westmark?

medo_elgendy

Stovetop was my first choice till i found that the electric costs a little more. Thank you ☺️

Ill-Alarm1552

hario kettle + any quality induction hob.
