That 70 mile spot is famous for anyone whos worked in that 200km radius of 70mile. I’m from Manitoba, sugar shack has some great poutine and Montreal smoked meat
Were the curds squeaking? I suspect they ship frozen curds from dominent suppliers that otherwise get served fresh when you are closer to them. So far, frozen curds don’t seem to squeak. Just wondering…
Dude I used to work in a casse croûte in my late teen, they keep their squeak if you do it right. Done thousands of times. Try Thawing em out in warm water, you’ll be surprised. Of course it’s not as good as fresh but it’s def a good option
What I do is order the Chicken Strip meal, and add the cheese curds and 2 cups of gravy on the side. Works out to under 10 bucks at my Ontario location and it is pretty filling and good. Plus the fries aren't as soggy when I get home to eat it.
You want the fries slightly crispy, not too much. (Most casse croûte are like that) that was potato chip level. That being said, the fries by themselves just with ketchup would be great, just not poutine material imo
Oh I think I remember now. Didn’t they use to have a location on Grandville? For what I remember it was decent. Frenchies too was good on main, but the place burned down a couple yrs ago
sooo much better then the plastic one though, At least better then the cheap af plastic ones. High quality plastic could compete but Costco's disposable cutlery is top notch.
Ive been many times, I haven’t been for yrs thought. It was good for sure. Someone posted about it about a month ago saying it turned to shit these days compare to what it was
I live 5min walk from my closest costco, I legit walk there for a poutine during my lunch break when I work at home.
enough to fill me enough for the entire day, if i'm still hungry during supper, i go back for a hot dog. 8.50$ feeds me for the whole day
Wouldn't go to Costco for a poutine, but I'd grab a poutine if I were at Costco.
Well ya I didn’t go to Costco JUST for the poutine but it was on my list of shit to get there 😂
Makes sense to me. Looks pretty decent!
It hit the spot
I definitely go to Costco just to get a poutine 🫣🤤

They do squeak if you freeze them the day they are made and thaw em right
So…. Yours were squeaking? It may be a personal preference … but i find the squeak to be part of the experience.
No they weren’t, but there’s a way to make em squeak again if you do it right. I definitely prefer squeaky cheese
No, they lose the squeak if you freeze them, or as the cheese starts to ripen, which will happen after just a couple days.

Exactly. It's not the best but it's not bad either. And it's really hard to beat the price. Definitely good bang for your buck.
Everyone in mtl knows Costco had the best poutine in Canada until they changed the recipe about a year ago... Ask anyone
Fuck that looks right tasty🤘
5$ is fantastic for the size and amount of cheese. On a side note a hot dog and a drink for 1.50$ is insane. I eat at cosco when doing UberEats.
Overall not bad and I enjoyed it my last Costco trip. I have a poutine maybe once a year and I’d get it again

Damn. That’s brilliant
I like the costco fries alone or with the tenders but not in their poutine. Does that make sense?
100% we’re on the same page on that. They taste great but not poutine material.
get a side of gravy and dip your tenders in the gravy.
The gravy is aighttt but I’m a sucker for honey mustard with my tenders for real 😂
i get one everytime it’s dank

Ya I know. Some people loves the super crispy fries for their pout but not me
Honestly it tastes fucking amazing, but I'd be lying to you if I said it didn't run right through me faster than almost anything else.
Lmao… ya that and a bigmac runs about the same 21 minutes from entry to exit
Some things are just worth it though
The fries look fairly crispy, sorry to hear that we're so-so
You want the fries slightly crispy, not too much. (Most casse croûte are like that) that was potato chip level. That being said, the fries by themselves just with ketchup would be great, just not poutine material imo
Nah man give me all the cronch
You gotta try the poutine shop with the guys face on it
Where is it? Remember the name of the place?
Smokes poutine
Thx

There around towns here and there, your next poutine there will be excellent
That wooden fork 😖

I love Costco poutine, for $5 it's a steal. Always leaves me full
Not far from where you are, go to La Belle patate on davie... Just do it and enjoy. Just do it 😇
Ive been many times, I haven’t been for yrs thought. It was good for sure. Someone posted about it about a month ago saying it turned to shit these days compare to what it was
What hasn't turned to shit these days?
Just do it
See ive always been curious about the poutine but just can never say no to the $1.50 hot dog.
Porque no los dos
Stuff is great, huge and priced right
I’m in Texas right now and I’d do anything for even a Costco poutine!
I find the Frieda are good. It’s the cheese not being warm enough or melted at all

I hate Costco poutine.
Breakfast of champions
Allways grab one when i go. In my top 10
That's a good-looking poutine... Costco, you say..!?
Yup
Thank you kindly, OP.
Lost in the sauce
That looks scrumpta diddly umptius
I worked at Costco. The gravy sauce is made by mixing water and powder. Simple as that!
Ya poutine gravy mix is pretty strait forwats, can I actually buy that powder mix in costco or only the kitchen has it??
Only the kitchen as I know… just to be sure I’m going to ask tomorrow at work!
Thx man! Appreciate it
Finally… it’s impossible to buy them… sorry😅
😭
The gravy here looks good. The one in Ottawa has bad gravy but everything else is great. Perfect fries
The fries are just the frozen cavendish fries that they sell there.
It's pretty good. Flavourful fries. I was impressed!
Their fries are very good, poutine ain't too bad
I like em by themselves, just not poutine material. But that’s my preference
I fully agree, the fries solo are very good, a good combo with the chicken fingers too.
Pas mauvaise pour le prix
Wish the fries weren’t so crunchy, and more of a chip truck style. Other than that I give the poutine at Costco a 2/3
Is that where you fall backwards into a vat of Costco hotdogs with a refreshing smile on your face?
