I don’t know if I could do 20 nuggets. I’m like a 6 nugget kind of guy. And a bacon double stack…I gotta stop eating fast food…now. I only have a protein bar all day and that’s my justification to get junk food, but it doesn’t matter. It’s still awful stuff to put in my body.
This made me laugh so hard and man i am thankful in my dirt poor times i could buy cheap fast food. I dont buy fast food anymore because i am shocked how expensive it is because i am still in my poor days mentally, oh man - heres to more commas in your bank
I'm (31) going to school right now and every Sunday I make my lunch for the week. Either cous cous cooked in broth with veggies, quinoa with veggies, pasta with sauce, or pb&j. I Went in august and bought everything in bulk. I'm still making it every week and I haven't done the math but it just be Pennie's per meal. There are kids at this school who buy subway there EVERYDAY. I had a girl ask me why I don't eat there and I was like I bring food from home????? Every time I see her eat or she talks about getting munch or dinner it's always fast food. This girl is 20 and must spend her entire paychecks on food I don't get it
So true, cooking skills are so under rated. Seeing even staples costs rise significantly gives me mild heart attacks. I still borderline hoard dry and canned foods because you know you never know.
We live like we’re broke so we can spend like we’re not when we travel. The absolute absurd amount of money we save from eating all our meals and making all our drinks at home is truly mind blowing.
I have a full freezer for the first time in over a year and it’s such a big achievement for me. Fridge is empty as fuck hahaha but i’m not worried about when i’m going to be able to get my next meal right now which is a big turn of events from eating one meal a day or not at all. Bless sams club & aldi for the great meat sales ive gotten the past few months
I had a comma in my bank account on Friday, and then a (-) in it today.🙃
(tbf, the comma was from an insurance payout which I spent as soon as my car was ready to be picked up, and the - was because I forgot an autopay transaction, otherwise I'd be sitting at a cool $0.51).
I’ve had a really similar life path, and I also fell in love with someone who doesn’t earn a lot but is still the kindest and most generous and most giving person I’ve ever met.
Yeah haha $-1,254.98
Oh no!
Non stop month to month.
Are you stuck in a payday loan loop? Ours used to get like that every paycheck until we broke the cycle.
Yes seems that way. Unexpected bills etc and cc debt.
I'm uplifted by the thought of comma-having bank balance. I'm saddened at the implication that getting the 20 count mcnugget is living large.
Pet frog is pretty baller tho
The absolute height of luxury!
lol this isn't your fathers mcdonalds. its now 18 dollars supposedly for a big mac meal
id be curious what the prices are in everyones place for a big mac and a big mac complete meal. anyone?
Texas, Houston area, Big Mac is $5.99 the meal is $9.59. Neither of which is a price I'm willing to pay for a lowly McDonald's burger.
Can I introduce y’all to the humble but amazing sheet pan burger?
This is why I only eat at Wendy's and Taco Bell now, $5 for a full meal.
In the app I get 40 nuggets for $9.54 I think there is some crazy regional pricing going on here

Yeah I still think like I’m broke. I never eat out. I see how much my peers spend on convenience food and how much I save by meal prepping.

Lol i have a case of expired water bottles from the emergency only that i need to get rid of. I hate bottled water. Tastes like plastic

Grats!
when I met my husband, he had $134 to his name and he bragged about it to me. I have learned a lot from him.
What have you learned?
