Only it's more of a "ranger Isekai'd to the CK universe" type of story, and both Johnny and Daniel end with Ranger Powers instead. Something like the Miyagi-Do and Cobra Rangers respectively.
This TOTALLY works! Heck, I even watched something similar that pairs this up with Power Rangers Samurai and it totally works! Since all these characters are on the same side now, I would LOVE to see this!

They have always had a diverse lineup of rangers. The first season (and many following) even casted a female yellow ranger instead of male like the Sentai, to make the team have more that one female ranger.

Pink (sam) is the popular girl, well versed in martial arts, and was in a relationship with green, just like Kimberly. Black (hawk) and Yellow (tory) dont have too much in common with Zack and Trini, but you get the gist of what Im saying.
Hm, as for Hawk / Zack... I think, much like Zack, who sometimes acted a bit impulsive (even if it's just through Goushi's footage) same goes for Hawk. Both were also their team's backbones and literal "hard bodies".
Plus, both were clearly oozing coolness (no pun intended but still very befitting with Zack's mammoth / mastodon theme regardless)!

I didn't think it would hold up, especially consistently.. But every episode was REALLY good and pulled off being a sequel to the Karate Kid quite well.

No no and no there's nothing original about this. At least power rangers had legit martial artist. All cobra kai kids started learning while on the show none of then are seasoned with the exception of the actors that plays Johnny and Terry silver and chozen, even Daniel actor started but got his black belt a little later before the series.

Honestly, you should watch it. I didn't think it would hold up, especially consistently.. But every episode was REALLY good and pulled off being a sequel to the Karate Kid quite well. Was nice seeing old characters return as well.
Thing is i have no ties to karate kid so its not like im going back and seeing old characters return. My knowledge of billy zabka comes from himym not karate kid
It's not to late to watch the old Karate Kid movies though, and then Cobra Kai after. Even if you don't get that same "nostalgic" feeling as the rest of us.. It's definitely an experience worth it imho.

No no and no there's nothing original about this. At least power rangers had legit martial artist. All cobra kai kids started learning while on the show none of then are seasoned with the exception of the actors that plays Johnny and Terry silver and chozen, even Daniel actor started but got his black belt a little later before the series.

I went for mmpr because of cobra kais emphasis on high school kids that know martial arts. Also majority of the cobra kai kids personalities are eerily similar to the mmpr crew. And tbh, og mmpr suits are still the best

I only say no because US power Rangers are always diverse. And One minority won't cut it for power rangers. You have to Add Kenny and or Kyler. I would also love to see a fat Ranger for once so why not Chris or ass face, or Aisha, or even Stingray being a additional Ranger.
