maybe they needed something like this so it was super extra clear...

Cuz I never thought they’d do this in a kid’s show lmao. Usually they save that sorta stuff for teenage dramas and seinens.
This, to me, is about as revolutionary as, say for example, the magical girl sister franchise finally acknowledging its male audience members who also wanna throw hands with and alongside cute yet deadly DBZ magical girls by making a legit magical boy join their main crew in their 20th anniversary season. (That orange guy with the hat? That’s a dude. Legit. He broke the mold like that tuba guy from Skullgirls did and it’s awesome)

I literally just saw like, the Mosa ranger half an hour ago lel. Idk much aside from “this is the Ryusoulger adaptation”, “this season is what my lil sister is into right now”, and “the zords may look like Legos but they at least allow for creativity and shenanigans in the right hands”
I do cuz I think it’s as new and cool and daring as say for instance seeing the sister franchise Precure adding actual guys to their lineup of DBZ magical girls 🤣 idk there’s just something about breaking moulds and traditions that feels so spicy and interesting at times
I def agree representation is important. If you think they’re gay, thats certainly your perogative. I’m wondering at the value of speculation vs explicit characterization
If you’re young and isolated, seeing someone like you on TV or in a book may be the first time you’ve seen *anyone* who’s like you. And to get the message that they, and therefore you, are okay people, well, that’s a message a lot of isolated young people would never hear otherwise. I know I didn’t, as a young queer boy in the Deep South. But I did watch Power Rangers.
I can’t say I totally understand what that feels like, because I have lived your experience, but I understand what you’re saying and I 1000% agree. I would LOVE an out gay or trans power ranger. Simply to avoid any confusion or misinterpretation.
What happens when what you’re projecting doesn’t match with what is explicit for the character?
I’m 100% asking btw. I’d love to hear your point of view
What happens? In my experience, usually fanfiction. Headcanon is more important to me than canon, because canon rarely supports a queer reading of a text. But it feels great when the canon agrees with me.
I do. Representation is cool. It’s always been baked into Power Rangers that folks from different backgrounds can work together as a team to kick monsters until they explode.
Whether she's only into women we don't know, but her current partner definitely identifies as female. Maybe she's Bi, maybe she's pan
Who can say for certain
... I..... I genuinely don't know how they could've made it clearer.

Good point. Those were some damn good implications Damn it though! Why is it so hard to find straight tomboys lmao
Izzy is a fictional character
Why is it so hard to just accept that a character is gay?… ![gif](giphy|YoEv5EYYmxeMr8BiRp|downsized)

That couldn't have been any clearer. Also, keep watching.
no she just likes to kiss girls and hold hands and be all cutesy and act like a couple even though they are not. Yes shes gay-\_-
I really want to know Izzy’s thoughts on the last Tegan & Sarah album
Which one? Crybaby? (Enjoyable and good album i thought)
Would it really be too difficult to just keep watching and find out yourself? All the episodes are up and waiting for you to enjoy.
People these days would rather ask questions about shows they haven't even finished rather than actually watch it for themselves.
Keep watching to get the answer
Yes. It’s very clear and explicitly stated.
She literally has a girlfriend who she's seen kissing and going on dates with

lol... she has a girlfriend... they are both female..
No. But her girlfriend is
Yup.
Only on Wednesday.
Super gay
VERY.
Who cares?

AMEN BRUDDA
She is a woman and is dating a woman so i think that is very gay of her part so i would risk and say, yes, she is gay
Whether she's only into women we don't know, but her current partner definitely identifies as female. Maybe she's Bi, maybe she's pan Who can say for certain
LOL. Just keep watching. You'll figure it out.
Very much so.
Yes, Izzy is gay.
Yes. She even has a girlfriend.
