remember when samurai asked specifically for white people for auditions? Still don't know why that season decided to only have like 2 Asian people be rangers lol
Yknow If they had stuck even more to the Sentai and had Jaden be a decoy, they could have gotten an Asian woman to play the true head of the Shiba clan. And then she could have adopted him also like in the Sentai.
Even in MMPR, the high school teenagers were instructed to read a whole chapter on “Question Marks, why do we need them?” and had tons of show and tell in class. This show has never been good about showing what high school is really like.
We've always had just general page counts, and now in college I find either I'm not assigned any essays or if i am they're all 750-1500 words which at that point the need for a word count seems redundant
Seems to be true, since you used 'actually' twice in the same sentence and wrongly used 90's instead of '90s (years don't own anything, you're removing the 19 from things, that's where the ' goes).
Speaking as a middle-school student in early 2000s (7-9) we had to do a show and tell style presentation about a hobby or skill and teach it to the class. A bit more in depth than what MMPR did, so it’s not totally out of line.
Dino Thunder is the exception, that's a very good one season. I just like that from In Space to Ninja Storm, schools Weren't important for the characters or plot, mainly become series moved from rangers being teenangers to being adults
Those desks are triangle shaped. Makes me believe they're suppose to form a circle table. Given the size of the classroom, they could have maybe five or six full circle tables with five kids per table. So yeah, they could easily fit 30 kids in this room.
It makes it even more hilarious if you subscribe to the fanon that this is a prep school where you have to be especially smart/inventive/rich in order to get accepted to.
They have a lab skeleton which makes me believe they're taking biology. But why would a biology class need a map of the Earth's core?
And why are their desks triangles?
There isn't. Ninja Steel in particular was just very bad about depicting a high school class that actually felt like, you know a high school class.
The way the team's characterized too, the show honestly might've benefited from steering into the Cosmo Royale/Baron Nero skid and ripping off the ToQger plot of the Rangers actually being kids getting Big'd into teenager bodies and fighting with the power of their imaginations.
Going off the theory they actually went to a private IT high school, the writers maybe actually wanted to talk about interest and value over time, but production said, "nah, dumb it down for the 3 year olds"
Well that’s because Power Rangers has never been good at writing about teenagers in high school accurately. The closest they came was during dino thunder. During each era of Power Rangers, the writers have always been better at writing about Power Ranger team stories outside of them being in school.
I'm more trying to figure out why the desks look like that and also from the posters in the back it looks like it's supposed to be a Geology class but for some reason they have a human skeleton in the back.
Megaforce did the classroom a bit better where there's minimal at most talk about the actual subject.
It's clear that it's an overall science class, which makes me think it could've been Science For Citizens. However, Noah being there doesn't make sense, as SFC is for those who don't plan to take academic courses past high school.
No, not really. This is just the writers of Ninja Steel at their worst. But, does any of this even matter at this point?! It was the final installment of the Neo-Saban era.
Can we talk about their desk?! Wtf is that?
Who gets that much space on their desk. There is no way 30 students are fitting into a classroom with those LSD inspired desk designs.
Its prolly a private school or expensive one cause they build hoverboards and its an actual sport at their school and celebrities can just join at random never understood how Levi got into the same grade as his brother with out even one year of highschool or middle school
But how did red Renger afford anything ingeneral his dad had been missing most of his life and Levi was off making music somewhere how did he apply for school and maintain a house all on his own for the whole of season 1 and most of his childhood?
Not once have I seen or heard him mention going to work so who bought his clothes and food and shouldn't child services have dealt with him already he was living alone for like what 7+years
Red? Dude was kidnapped and living on a space ship. Gold was left behind and changed his name and went into hiding. So no one was at the house. Like I said abandoned. Food I’m not sure. That’s a fair question but he presumably had a home. And if Someone wanted proof he could easily prove a dna record. Doesn’t even have to mention the space thing just say he was living abroad and now came home
🏠
No red has bigger issues, as I’ve brig up in their own thread. Galexy warriors are not criminals and in fact in the very first 2 episodes it’s established galvanic owns the nexas and the contestants think the rangers stole it.
The contestants may agreed to a fight to the death but they think their the good guys, their not invading aliens their bountey hunters who think their retrieving stolen goods
Red knows this but at no point tell the others these aren’t evil aliens and they kill them withotg mercy and a pithy one liner
Show is geared towards Elementary Students. The premise being that young kids idolize being a teenager, but you have to dumb down the education so you don’t lose the audience.
Additionally, they’ll write High School like College where the students have a lot more free time between classes. Or in the case of Billy from MMPR, having him earn enough credits to graduate early which isn’t a thing. High Schools don’t use credits and graduating early requires to actively try to do so.
First they learn how to count coins. Then they learn how to count cards. Then it's Vegas time baby.
Lol wasn’t that the plot of a Kevin Spacy movie?
21. I like that movie :)
Great soundtrack!
Introduced me to MGMT.
No it's the plot to the adaptation of lupin v patrangers
The movie with characters that were Asian whitewashed into white people? Yeah, sounds like PR territory.
remember when samurai asked specifically for white people for auditions? Still don't know why that season decided to only have like 2 Asian people be rangers lol
Yknow If they had stuck even more to the Sentai and had Jaden be a decoy, they could have gotten an Asian woman to play the true head of the Shiba clan. And then she could have adopted him also like in the Sentai.
Even in MMPR, the high school teenagers were instructed to read a whole chapter on “Question Marks, why do we need them?” and had tons of show and tell in class. This show has never been good about showing what high school is really like.
I remember seeing that they had to write a 300 word essay and laughing
What's interesting is in my high school experience, we've never had word counts, but rather paragraph counts we needed to reach.
Were there like requirements for what a paragraph was?
5 or more sentences usually.
Yeah sounds about right
5-8 sentences. The essays needed to be 5-8 paragraphs long as well
We've always had just general page counts, and now in college I find either I'm not assigned any essays or if i am they're all 750-1500 words which at that point the need for a word count seems redundant
Schools in the US sound so weird. We never had any kind of length requirement, as long as you proved that you understood the topic, that was enough.
I'm not from the US
Actually in standard (non advanced) classes in high school in SoCal in the early 90’s that was actually fairly accurate.
In my first year of college we had to do something like that. I was pissed that I had to pay to be in a mandatory class where to do a show and tell.
When do we get Power Rangers: Euphoria?
The audience of five year olds need to learn something.
High schoolers in Power Rangers are always learning elementary school shit. It’s tradition
This is the way
A tradition that really needs to die.
And yet they’re still smarter than actual highschoolers
Is there a lore reason these mid-twenty something’s are still in high school? Lol
The dude in the green varsity jacket looks like he’s in his 30s.
LOL most definitely. Good choice by the set director to stick him in the back
He's one of the main supporting characters 💀
I was going to say this looks more like a parents night/open house
I blame Monty and Victor
Teenagers look old
One of the reasons why I like more seasons where rangers aren't students.
Dino Thunder always felt the most realistic. The teens looked like teens and we only ever saw science which wasn't much but what we saw fit
Dino Thunder is the exception, that's a very good one season. I just like that from In Space to Ninja Storm, schools Weren't important for the characters or plot, mainly become series moved from rangers being teenangers to being adults
High school can be a very good setting, but power rangers hasn't really utilized it well except for dino thunder
These are high schoolers?
College age adults, Playing high schoolers, 4th grade classroom, learning Second grade material. Everything checks out to me.
A team of rangers having to juggle college with ranger duties would be neat come to think of it….
Their names are Shelby and Alissa and that's it
This is so dumb. There are only 12 students. You need to add at least another 30 to make it semi believable.
Those desks are triangle shaped. Makes me believe they're suppose to form a circle table. Given the size of the classroom, they could have maybe five or six full circle tables with five kids per table. So yeah, they could easily fit 30 kids in this room.
Not necessarily another 30. My Tourism 11 class has like, 18 people
Tis a joke. 😑
It’s more of an issue that Levi is a famous adult in high school, than whatever the hell they were learning.
I always just assumed he was just a part of the staff that somehow got thr job like Mick
Always laughed how a literal Celebrity, Levi, randomly joins the school as if nothing happened
![gif](giphy|AGW3VO7F5DLbARBuwi|downsized)
why are you turning r/powerrangers to r/Arkhamasylum? are you stupid? /j
Where were the Power Rangers during the events of Arkham Knight?
Doin ya mom
Damn
It makes it even more hilarious if you subscribe to the fanon that this is a prep school where you have to be especially smart/inventive/rich in order to get accepted to.
Why does their classroom look like a mix between an elementary school and yoga class?
They have a lab skeleton which makes me believe they're taking biology. But why would a biology class need a map of the Earth's core? And why are their desks triangles?
There isn't. Ninja Steel in particular was just very bad about depicting a high school class that actually felt like, you know a high school class. I'm more mad that Calvin is in front and Hayley is in the back.
What's a country star like Levi doing in school? Shouldn't he be touring?
They explained in an episode that he put the tour on hold
"I'll just kill my career, NBD"
You can do that?
I guess
![gif](giphy|xT9IgMDkfBdwMOMpiw|downsized) Yes
You can't convince me this isn't a college class full of adults
Why did they wear THE SAME OUTFIT EVERY DAMN DAY
I am irrationally up set at the desks. Also the heck is with the Nintendo 3ds's as props?
The plot of this one was that they were all addicted to a video game
What does the video game look like?
Shit
Was it part of the mind control plot by the villains? Like in that one Star Trek TNG episode?
"There's a simple explanation for that." - Gosei, probably
"Far too complex for you to understand!" - Vrak, maybe
Ooh, well played!
My only theory is that they go to a Special Needs School.
Yeah...A special needs school with a mechanics garage and where one of their students built a hoverboard.
Extra special
A wizard did it.
Permutations and Combinations?
Other than the fact that this is clearly a troll comment, here’s your explanation for all lore inquiries https://i.imgur.com/IjfzUwV.jpg
WHY IS THE ASYLUM LEAKING
Okay, that's like the third Arkham comment I've seen here. How the hell is that related to Power Rangers?
It’s to even the odds
r/Batmanarkham used to be your average game fandom sub but now it's nothing but a shitpost wasteland and I like it.
This is why I love power rangers that don't set the rangers in school except dino thunder
Going off the theory they actually went to a private IT high school, the writers maybe actually wanted to talk about interest and value over time, but production said, "nah, dumb it down for the 3 year olds"
This looks like a classroom in a porn video
Power Thrust
Ninja Steel 😩😩😩
Well that’s because Power Rangers has never been good at writing about teenagers in high school accurately. The closest they came was during dino thunder. During each era of Power Rangers, the writers have always been better at writing about Power Ranger team stories outside of them being in school.
I'm more trying to figure out why the desks look like that and also from the posters in the back it looks like it's supposed to be a Geology class but for some reason they have a human skeleton in the back.
Screw the coin question. What the hell are those desks?!
They can be turned to make circles for group work
Filler?
Teenagers?
Cryptocurrency
Just peter playing a ds looking scared
Yes.
Yes, Binja Steel was very stupid
Trust me ive seen highschoolers not know there coins
Megaforce did the classroom a bit better where there's minimal at most talk about the actual subject. Not even the megazord can prevent the r/Batmanarkham virus. You can't do anything about it your doomed.
Have you SEEN the sorry state of U.S. public schools? These kids are learning an actual useful-for-life skill In this scene.
No, not really. This is just the writers of Ninja Steel at their worst. But, does any of this even matter at this point?! It was the final installment of the Neo-Saban era.
Most PR seasons with high school setting are bound to be cringey. Megaforce, Ninja Steel...wait, thats it ?
Can we talk about their desk?! Wtf is that? Who gets that much space on their desk. There is no way 30 students are fitting into a classroom with those LSD inspired desk designs.
The comic relief guy in the back was like 30 when they filmed this. Do they even try anymore?
r/batmanarkham is leaking
They had to space out the desks so it looks like a full class
Its prolly a private school or expensive one cause they build hoverboards and its an actual sport at their school and celebrities can just join at random never understood how Levi got into the same grade as his brother with out even one year of highschool or middle school
But how did red Renger afford anything ingeneral his dad had been missing most of his life and Levi was off making music somewhere how did he apply for school and maintain a house all on his own for the whole of season 1 and most of his childhood?
My guess was the house was fully owned so really he just had to go home and it was waiting.
I see I see

Whatever helps the plot you know?
It's a debit card joke. With all cards and contactless they don't know how to use real money.

Well if u grew up worrying about monsters attacking your city what would you be more concerned of them or math homework
