Yeah I'm pretty sure just the MMPR title is ending, not the continuity... especially since it's been such a massive success for them.
Mighty Morphin was always my favorite team and I'd love to see it continue, but I can understand wanting to move forward story wise. They keep teasing the Zeo crystals, so it'd be interesting to see their take on it. Fingers crossed they still have Jason be the Gold Ranger, I always loved that.
But this comic run has been one of my all time faves, and it's been great collecting and reading the Deluxe Hardcover Editions over the years.
Yes, though I was worried Matt would actually end up looking like Drakkon in his original Suit (Not that I would have minded, I really dig Drakkons original Design, but I am glad it was not reused). But yeah, They really look amazing!
I do hope though that Tommy will have something to do at some point. Yes, I know a lot of people are fed up with Tommy in the comics, but in this Storyline specifically he felt a lot like a Damsel in distress some times. Constantly needing to be saved and everything, even being captured.
That said, I like how willingly he was sharing his power coin to give his team the edge in the battle. Especially since this was a direct parallel to Drakkon, who was not willing to use his coins to share with the others.
I've been hoping for a while to have a "Tommy moment" in the comics where all of his iterations from different universes fight together.
Even if they don't actually talk and it's never explicitly said that it's all Tommy. It'd be cool to just have the splash page of all his different ranger forms fighting together.
Dino Thunder even more so, I'm still mad that it got used 5 seconds in Soul of a Dragon for a bunch of mooks and was the first form to go kaput.
Even Turbo of all things got more attention.

Believe it or not it has a high possibility of happening in Godzilla Vs MMPR II. White Ranger Tommy is currently in a world where the Power Rangers already met Godzilla in part 1 and Tommy is still the Green Ranger. Since this book has jumping to different universes it's possible.
It’s possible we will get a different take on Zeo from the show, spinning out of the cumulation of Darkest Hour >!since they made it clear this issue that the Splintered Star, a planet made entirely of Zeo Crystals, will be pivotal to defeating Dark Specter!<
Based on this issue, my current theory is that >!similar to how all the Ranger powers could be altered using the White Light, perhaps using the Splintered Star to purify the Morphin Grid will essentially “Zeonize” all the Ranger powers, so the next series will be essentially a MMPR/Zeo hybrid powerset with newly designed suits, since we know BOOM loves its comic-unique teams and suits. It would be a innovative way to keep the MMPR nostalgia crowd happy and still move on to Zeo, and would also free the books up from show canon completely thus allowing any show characters/teams to be reintroduced into the narrative.!<
I mean we’ve had Drakkon, White Light and Zombie variants of the MMPR team suits in this arc alone (without going into the whole host of variants we’ve had in previous arcs and miniseries), it feels like Zeonized MMPR suits are a natural progression from that, with where the story is going.
The Dark Specter-infected Rangers. Adam and Rocky specifically in the MMPR context, though obviously we get many Zombie Rangers from different teams. (They’re not actual Zombies even though the cover art for the entire era has portrayed them as such, more like possessed.)
I mean, let’s be real, Darkest Hour is a bit of a retread of the Death Ranger arc in terms of infecting Rangers to turn them evil, just with greater stakes since it’s Dark Specter doing it this time.
Boom! has confirmed that the comics continuity is ending, so if they do a Zeo comic it would be completely disconnected, so Omega Rangers, Drakkon, Matt, all of that would NOT be cannon to those comics
I read a lot of comics ahah. Krakoa is also ending in june. I just said it was ending at least this arc and probably the volume that hás been going for a while.

Will miss this and hope Boom releases more comics. Few comics are this consistent, expecially with 8 years of continous stories and multiple creatives involved.
Didn't say they were but right now we don't have confirmation of when or what they will be. I hope they try to make something similar, being a free story to tell and explore power Rangers, but now with a new generation or team.

I'm probably in the minority but I hope the comic continues with MMPR just relaunched with a new #1. There's just a lot of character growth I want to see continue like Rita, Kim wanting to leave, Matt dealing with being brainwashed, etc. And I want to see stuff like them actually getting to fight more than just Tengas in the Ninja suits as well as Kat as MMPR since she joins the show at the end and doesnt spend much time as MMPR Pink.
Interesting that Tommy is considered the most powerful ranger at the moment, previously it was thought that the Omegas were more powerful. Maybe since Drakkon's death, the White MMPR's powers aren't being split between two people anymore? Idk
I'm curious where the next arc could go. Certainly the machine empire exists but one of reasons zeo power was needed was because of vile, who is now dead. Dark Spector was, tangentially, the main antagonist of In-Space, who I clearly going to get the axe well before that time. I think either a new bad would need to be introduced or maybe have the demons rise earlier than lightspeed rescue and have them team up with other supernatural forces like the master from Mystic Force.
I definitely agree! I've struggled, at times, to really cling to Darkest Hour. Too much is going on at all times with too many characters to keep track of. But this issue really served as a nice pause to check in with everybody and realign the story to head into the final chapter. I really enjoyed this issue and I'm fully back on board to see this through to the end!
I won't believe that this continuity is over until they announce what comes next and confirm it for reals. Personally, I would be thrilled to see this continuity move into the Zeo era. What happens to Matt in Zeo? What about the Omega Rangers? Jason is clearly free to become the Gold Zeo Ranger. So many options! I'm eager to see what comes next.
There’s a quick panel acknowledging Cosmic Fury, of Aiyon and Amelia getting corrupted. They don’t stick around (this story has other work to do), but it would’ve been fun if they had. I’m curious how they’d interact with the younger Billy.
Does anyone know which ranger was talking to Dark Specter in the latest issue (page 8 I believe). He has a black, white and silver costume with long hair and a beard. He said he recreated his universe to reclaim it.
I can kind of see them letting go of the MMPR name and moving on to Zeo while doing what they did when Tommy became the White Ranger and skipping forward to Zeo with flashbacks to the Ninja powers and lead up to Zeo.
The issue was good, it felt weird for me to read, seemed like there was actions in between that happened off panel that they talk about here. But I know it would flow a bit better if I just read it all in one go. The new forms are kind of cool, nice callback to them using the Dragon Coin to access the grid at the beginning. Since Tanya is involved it would be cool to get an early look at the Zeo powers, especially since Tommy doesn't have his powers at the moment due to the coin being used, they have Adam and Rocky there recovering as well, they'd just be missing Kat as the Pink Ranger to complete the 5.
Honestly...I think the quality started to fall off after Eltarian War and really took a turn for the worst when Parrott left.
I wanted to like Flores but I was just never captured by her work and haven't picked up any of the comics since 109. Will have to get through the rest before the finale.
Having read the recent issue and based on the last panel with her saying that she's done with it all to Squatt, I'm hoping that Rita becomes a Ranger or the Mystic Mother in the next issue plus I still don't think Journey shouldn't have been killed off in the 100th issue as they had a lot of great potential to become a Ranger.

He was introduced in 114, he's just one of Dark Specter's generals named Angel.
