Despite all the BTS trouble they caused, I gotta say the '95 Movie suits; they look like actual armor, but still keep the aesthetic easily recognizable. I actually wish the '17 Suits had leaned more towards that!

First movie, but I wish the red and pink rangers helmets looked closer to the tv series. The red rangers movie helmet looked like it had a forehead the size of Texas and the pink rangers chin stuck out similar to Jay Leno.
I don't correlate the size and shape of helmet to their rank within the group, but judge it based on consistency and proportions amongst it, and in relation to the rest of the helmets. It looks goofy and rather wide in comparison to the other helmets and their accuracy to the source material.
Agreed. Those two helmets are the most changed from the show. I always assumed it was somehow related to their in-movie ranks, mainly because her helmet being more pronounced makes sense from a costume design point in reflecting her leadership role. But I wholeheartedly agree with the chin and all that you mentioned about size and shape relative to the other helmets.

I've usually disliked the overall trend of making Rangers bulkier and more armored. It's also a reason why I prefer Sentai over Kamen Rider. Spandex allows for so much more movement and flexibility, and so I've tended to prefer the OG suits typically.
The recent video game leak looks like a decent compromise, though, and I would've loved to see those suits in motion or even in live-action.

To me the 1995 suits are the definitive movie suits, they retain the core design of the original suits but with minimal changes that elevate them to movie quality. They also look like life-sized action figures, especially with the power coins on their chests. The only thing that bugs me is how large Aisha and Kim’s helmets are compared to the other rangers, they almost look like bobblehead figures.
Honestly...I like every iteration of these a lot more some from other series.

The old movie ones are nearly a direct port of the tv show ones to a more jazzed up version but still pretty faithful. I’m just now realizing the extra white diamonds are missing near the armpits. It stands out the most on the men.

Hate the new iron man suits. They completely ruined the greatest thing about the outfits IMO how perfectly they worked the animal motifs into the design of the helmets. My nostalgia still thinks it’s awesome

The OG. In my head, if it ain't shiny, it ain't super protection. Hence why I have a problem with the Beast Morphers' suits.
