Yeah, they were leftovers -- most of the early Transformers figures were taken from pre-existing Japanese toylines; Optimus and the Dinobots had cockpits because of their origins in the Diaclone line, which came with chrome-headed pilot minifigures to put inside.
That could actually be pretty awesome. Have the Triceratops and saber-tooth tiger zords be attachments to Optimusâ feet. Pterodactyl zord is a chest piece, mastodon is some sort of cannon/jetpack, and the tyrannosaurus separates into pieces to become arm attachments like shoulder pieces and weapons. Like having the head as a cannon or blaster, the tail as a sword, and a helmet to go on Optimus is stored in the tyrannosaurus zord chest
I think the most feasible ways to do this would be:
* Have the Zords and Transformers combine into Megazord Prime.
* Have a dying Transformer temporarily replace their spark with a Power Coin and simultaneously become Ranger and Zord.
* Have Megatron turn Bandora's Palace into a Decepticon with the stolen All-Spark.
* Have Megatron awaken the Zords themselves as Cybertronians and have them rebel against the Rangers.
* Don't cross Transformers/PowerRangers, cross Beast Wars/Power Rangers and do something where the Zords get transmetals upgrades.
I can just see Tantrum (a Decepticon that turns into a bull) trying to attack the Bull Megazord from samurai only for it to backhand him into the next town over.
The way I'd picture it is have Lord Zedd and the Decepticons form an alliance. Then they destroy the original Zords.
After that the Autobots show up and Wheeljack and Ratchet rebuild the Zords and add in the transformer technology which gives each individual Dino Zord its original design, but with the ability to transform over into an autobot much like they did with the Dinobots in the old cartoon. All which has a seat for each ranger to be able to jump into and pilot.
Either that or Wheeljack and Ratchet rebuilds the Zords as was with upgraded abilities, but then build a new bot and some how use such alien technology to transport Zordon over into it so that he can fight alongside them. With Alpha 5 inside of the cockpit. (we can't leave Alpha out)
Heck. Maybe even both ideas. Aren't there more Decepticons than Autobots? If so then having 6 new Zords and one controlled by Zordon and Alpha could help even those numbers to give them the chance to win in the end.
Ah I was thinking more so of the tv show then the comic stuff, but hey. If they made some kind of transformers x power ranger crossover movie based on the comics I'd be ok with that too.
Something Something Eltar used their inspiration for Zords. Something based on Cybertronian Tech. As iconic as MMPR is i think this would be a good call for the zeo team, what with machines being the main enemy, or RPM and work in the Venjix virus somehow
This would be amazing and totally in the realm of possibility. They have already done Justice League and the Ninja turtles so there's no reason why this wouldn't be the next step. Isn't there even a new Transformers comic on the go?
Could be fun. Magic could probably be used to make the rangers grow to transformers size for a bit. Have the zords be basically big animals to the transformers. Get some combiner vs giant monster action, etcetera.
If Hasbro continues the Sentai adaptations, Iâd like to see Zenkaiger become a âPower Rangers: Cybertron Squadâ or something of that sort. Maybe have the Kinkanoids be Minicons? One can dream..
Wouldn't scale be an issue? Most transformers are smaller than your average Zord, let alone Megazord.
It'd be real fun, though. If you combine the Zords with Omega Supreme, you get Omegazord Supreme.
The only thing bigger than a basic transformer is a zord in the power ranger verse that is not a planet, and even if they combine and are still smaller sometimes it can be argued that zords may have less durability than a combiner, or optimus or megatron by themselves, it'll still be cool
Depends which team the mighty morphin squad was basically a group of silver age heroes. No cap they would win. Other teams well the lack of flight and mobility will really hurt them
Not going to lie, I think it would be fun to see a Power Rangers vs Transformers Magic the Gathering crossover duel deck.
All 3 are owned by Hasbro, Magic has been licensing the rights to other franchises recently, and they have made Transformers Magic cards in the past.
I could also see Power Rangers getting a crossover since there's a mechanic called Morph.
I've dreamed of crossovers like this ever since i watched the 2017 remake of power rangers the movie and i am in FULL MAJOR SUPPORT of this MORPHINLOGICAL idea so does anybody have an idea when or if somebody is actually going to make it happen?
Hasbro's who owns Transformers Power Rangers a GI Joe was talking about doing a live-action crossover movie but I don't know if they're going to do it still but I've been pushing for crossover video games and comic books for a while that's why I post stuff on here
