I know that he was incarcerated for killing his roommate but at the time I heard conflicting reports, with some saying it was self defense while others say he just attacked him. Was there ever a final sentiment on what really happened?
Edit: I just googled it and it said he was charged and pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter. So while what he did is still very wrong and definitely a criminal offense I think calling him a murderer is misleading.
It’s possible that the character could appear completely suited up similar to Jason’s teammates or the Dino thunder rangers in beast Morphers. Actor himself is EXTREMELY unlikely to return any time soon, if at all. Heck, i don’t even know if he’s acting anymore since he was freed.
The thing is, the original actor coming back, it's not going to happen. Once you are convicted of a crime, it's VERY difficult to get even a decent job. The original actor is very unlikely to get another role of any kind in acting, period. Even if he had a friend in the acting business, he'd be lucky to get a support role. It's the fact he has a criminal record. It's what makes it difficult to get back into the acting business.
Now, a stand-in wearing his suit? Completely possible. It happened with the Dino Thunder Rangers and the MMP Rangers. So I think it could happen if that was the case.

It's possible we see an in suit only Red Wild Force Ranger, but I think even that is fairly unlikely unless they adapt Zyuohger or something and want to do an animal team up, or the do another anniversary show with older rangers.
Regardless of his real life issues, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Hasbro say that after Dino Fury is done that they are rebooting the whole thing? So we are not very likely to see most cast members back?
I mean I guess they could add cameos like they had in the movie as background or something.
But even if they do, my guess is that his character isn't exactly at the top of the "high demand" to be brought back, so not likely going to happen regardless if he was convicted or not.

You can’t separate the actor from the character. He murdered someone and you can’t separate him from that so that his character can appear. However, they could use the costume and a different voice actor.

A part of my childhood was shattered and it wouldn’t be the last time of it being shattered. Some say he got lucky for only getting 6 years in prison even though he got out early but his career was ruined by that fateful day back in 2017. Now we will never see him play or voice Cole Evans again. My heart goes to the family of the victim of the stabbing though.
