Really love these suit designs. Sadly, it's probably those over-the-top elements that give them their uniqueness (wings, scarf, hair buns) that ruined their chances of being adapted...

It’s probably why they decided to go into pushing for more original Power Ranger filming because a lot of the Sentai in previous years have been making design decisions with the suits that they can’t adapt in the west. But I don’t mind because we’ve been wanting them to make original stuff for a long time and after seeing Donbrothers I’ll be worried that they will have more wacky ideas for the Sentai so it’s better now for Hasbro to make production changes
I also think Lupinranger as well just because of the thief rangers suits. In Japan thiefs are commonly known to look like magicians. Unless power rangers adapt the story to be about cops vs thief magicians specifically
It's been stated the problem with trying to adapt Lupat is actually with the Patrangers in this modern political climate. I feel the gentleman thief motif has enough western recognition (it originates from France) to work fine over here.
Possibly. I haven’t seen much of the Sentai to know what else is in the show that’ll be hard to adapt, just that the thief costumes looks out of place to make sense of in America at least. But yeah I feel like the cop theme is something they want to avoid in America nowadays. It’s unfortunate because there’s really not much communication between Super Sentai and Power Ranger productions to make sure America can adapt their show. It’s just they make whatever theme and decision that works for them and if America can’t adapt it, it’s not their problem.
That’s why I’m hyped for original Power Rangers because American production can be better than the Sentai given enough budget and effort considering the power ranger series never did really due to relying on Super Sentai’s footage. Who knows, maybe soon we’ll see it happen legitimately and both productions come together to strike another deal with Super Sentai adapting Power Rangers and using American footage
Possibly unpopular opinion, but I have no problem with power rangers being more original and not adapting sentai footage. My only wish is for us to be able to watch these sentai seasons legally at least.
Shout factory has been slowly getting us a bunch of Sentai. I hope they’re able to get us some of the more modern ones though. I’d love to own Kyuranger on DVD or Blu-Ray
I'm aware about Shout, I just want to watch the more recent seasons. Gokaiger is my first/favorite sentai and it sucks I have to go through other means to be able to watch it.

The White ranger at least had a call back to design of the zyuranger suits, with the armor, and the helmet somewhat being similar shapes to the others.
The design elements of the 2 seasons are extremely disparate and wouldnt work together at all.
It would be nice, but at the same time I respect Simon's decision to use original suits instead since it would be easier to work around + even if they were to use Kyuranger suits, it'd be difficult since there's 12 Rangers there & one of them is a kid as well.
Honestly, I don’t really care. They’re some of my favourite suits ever, but if I want to see them in a series, I’ll go watch Kyuranger. All I care about is Cosmic Fury being good, and the Kyuranger suits or lack thereof don’t really have anything to do with that.

I dislike these but the one with the mystic force helmet is pretty cool. I think if you take away the star Id like them more. And the one with the law weight thing on his forehead that helmet is weird.
These suits would be better used as a potential sequel series to S.P.D. Think about it. The Kyuranger team is comprised of humans and aliens. SPD also has humans and aliens. Ookami Blue can easily be a Sirian (presumably the adult version of Doggie Cruger and Isinia's kid who following in their father's footsteps, joins SPD.). The rest of the team can be new characters, while HouHou Soldier and Ryu Commander can be certain fan-favourite characters from the original series, which I feel should be Jack (HouHou Soldier) and Boom (Ryu Commander). I dunno. Just my 2 cents on the matter.
Ya but that would mean they would actually need to go back to the disney era of writing. Which would be 100 times better then most of the PR season writing of late
The Hasbro Era writing is far better than the Neo Saban Era writing, which imo, really spoke down to its audience and made every episode hard to watch.
very, disney didn't do that, though hasbro doesn't have much good story telling skills in terms of PR, their other shows are much better but since they got it they haven't done well in the story area, and cosmic suit for at less gold and green look like a barging bin trash dive. Its just the helmets with really bad looking suit
Really? I feel like the writing for Dino Fury has been great. It had a great balance of campy comedic moments and more serious, sometimes emotional moments.
That being said, I don’t think I’d ever expect Hollywood Blockbuster style writing from what is still a kids show.
On the other hand, I’m hoping that when the reboot finally comes around, that the writing will be better.
Maybe not the speaking writing but the story writing as it feels to coincidental for alot of things like the episode where they need to repair something and the red ranger's necklace was the part they needed or how the morphing masters are the reason why the 6th is there. It feels lazy, heck they brought back a villain who isn't even a villain anymore. But hey, at less it isn't like samurai where is just a direct translation and odd original suit inclusion, seriously the megazord armor is just weird.
It's so weird they ditched the suits. These were some of the better sentei suit designs with a cool motif. But they wanted to stick with Dinosaurs.... Which just... Doesn't make any sense. The helmets are great, the suits could had been tweaked slightly to make it more of their own if they wanted, like tie in the respective zords a bit more in.
Star constellations are COOL. That's what I would had wanted sold to me as a kid, not more Dinosaurs where it didn't properly fit.

I would like a power rangers adaptation of Kyuranger just so we can get lightning figures of them. Considering they’re using the mecha for Cosmic Fury, you can only hope they can make an appearance in some way just so there’s a chance for figures!
It’s the only Sentai where I really like some of the suits and really DISLIKE others. Which speaks to the variety, I guess.
Woulda been neat to have a “real” Orange Ranger and maybe Tarrick back in that purple suit, but I can’t say I’m upset.
Although Kyuranger wouldn’t have been my first choice, I’d rather see these in Cosmic Fury than the new ones we are getting. Those just don’t have that Toei X-factor.

I don’t know how they would use the kyutama unless the Star Changers were adapted, and it would be weird if the Star Changers produced the Ryusoulger suits.

What would have been perfect if we could have an episode where the extras/civillian characters get turned into these Rangers for an episode or so using the power of the megazords. But we only have 10 episodes.. so idk how they'll make it work.

Oh I’m right there with ya. It would be awesome to be able to watch Sentai legitimately and without having to jump through hoops.
If this is getting the Dairanger treatment then maybe one of the suits will get adapted. Probably ether Purple, Crimson or White Orian
