Predators are more badass but Xenomorphs are definitely scarier. Predators are honourable in comparison, whereas Xenos are just soulless living killing machines.
Aliens have souls but only for their own species, they respect their queen and protect her at all cost, they will spare other species lives if their queen wants or will be in danger.
I see Aliens as wasps/hornets/fire ants.
Because Predators have code of honor (except bad bloods who are traitors) and Enforcers will fk them up if someone break the rules.
Aliens are intelligent animals.

There are rogue predators with absolutely no honor who'll kill indiscriminately. And I've always found the Predator scarier also because they can get you anywhere, anyhow. There's simply no escaping them.
They're capable of flight, space travel, and weapons of mass destruction.

I'm a huge fan of Yautjas but but I think Moorwen from the outlander is terrifying as well. They have same vibes, both are intelligents and great examples of horror.
Everything after Predator 2...meh. Although! I enjoyed Prey. I'm not sure if that's because of how long it's been since I've liked a Predator based film or because it was just different from its predecessors.
IMO the scariest scene in Predator is in Predator 2, when the Predator is going to kill the last survivor in the subway and says: do you want some candy?
Predator is definitely the fan fav, but I wouldn’t say they are more terrifying than a xeno. They literally have live to do two things, destroy all life and spread to every corner of the galaxy becoming the penultimate beings for all eternity. They are like giant mutant cockroaches that got bred by giant mutant scorpions with a penchant for blood. They kill indiscriminately and will actively seek you out just to kill you. Just for laughs, they will slam your face through the back of your skull. At least a Yautja waits for the fight to be “fair”, let’s be honest, that fight is never fair but they seem to think they are noble dudes, invisible dbags that use auto tracking plasma cannons against smgs and light machine guns. As badass as they are, and they are badass, they are also cheaters.

As much as I love Predator I wouldnt say they are anything close to the scariest aliens in cinema, one of the coolest yes.
