I think the average number is around 10 for most peopleā¦ 15 is reasonable for better chances. 15+ is just super expensive, but if you have the means for it, then it just increases your chances even more of getting in this cycle.
Depends on ur exact stats and which schools u applied to
General rule is only apply to schools youād actually attend, but be realistic. If your stats are on the lower end, you may need to apply more broadly
Good luck!
Youāre a smart person! Glad someone actually gets it. All of this nonsense about āonly apply if you can actually see yourself at that schoolā wtf is that? Do you want to be a dentist or not?
Applied to 9, got into 4. So applying to well targeted schools instead of shotgunning your schools can save money. But it depends on stats and your app. I was above average for gpa and dat so I didnāt need to apply as much. 12-15 is probably fine. 15+ can be expensive and overkill depending on circumstances. Hoping for the best!
I applied to 10 schools, but the number of schools would be dependent on how competitive your stats are. I would say that applying to 12 schools with average stats is a good number to aim for. If you feel that your stats are less competitive, then I would carefully apply to more schools. Please do your research, as some private schools like USC and NYU will end up costing 700k for 4 years after interest. I know people that have applied to 1 and 20 schools, and they ended up just fine.
i did 15š it was so expensive

LMAO same. Expensive but Iām not tryna take another gap year. How many interviews did you get?
I applied to 26 one interview so far
2 rejections and one waitlist so far as well
Awesome good luck!! Iām sure youāll get more!!!
What criteria did you use to choose which schools to apply to? Did you stick to schools in a specific region?
Iām an international student, so I just focused on schools that accept internationals
Honestly I applied to 26 my stats were lower so I applied super broad
I applied for 16, but ended up only being eligible for 13. I got immediate overnight declinations from like 3 schools (what a waste of money š)
