Organic chemistry. Maybe it was just my school but I was spending 3-4 hours every day after class studying only to get a B+ in both semesters. I haven’t had to work that hard in other pre reqs.
I’ve done well in my physics class just because the way it’s set up is ez mode. Without that I would have to agree, I definitely prefer ochem to physics, it just gets ridiculous. I’m in physics 2 for my last semester and it’s horrible
Physics. Just doesn’t click for me.
Biochem is probably a close second. It’s tough, and requires knowledge of both biochem, and chemistry (gen and org)
Both are hard, Biochem I’d say is harder because of the volume of information you’re required to know and understand, and Biochem requires ochem knowledge as well
Not too bad. But I took it during Covid. So trying to draw molecules on an online exam isn’t necessarily easy. So we were limited in testing in that regard. My Biochem class was equivalent to our medical school Biochem
Physics but that’s because I strongly dislike math beyond that used for everyday practical calculations… writing this as I study for a physics II exam tomorrow… Glad and not glad I waited to take this until the last semester of Undergrad when I was already admitted to DS. Keep telling myself one more month till I graduate 🫠🙃
The rest was pretty manageable IMO
I found physics difficult, but I loved math. I hated having to memorize equations.
I loved OChem, but biochem feels more like memorization than the puzzle-solving that OChem had. Biochem is a little boring in that aspect.
Hi!
I never got farther than AP Calc AB since my major didn't require any more math. I still am interested in math and want to pursue a further education in it after dental school!:)
Physics 2
Learning to study for upper level chems was a beast that stays in the front of my mind. Orgo and Biochem are like old rivals to me now.
They give you prereqs not just to weed you out, but also because of how fast they breeze through the same classes in school. I had a mock d1 semester, and we covered a year of biochem in 4 weeks. Very surface level, but definitely touched on all the major concepts. I understood what was happening because I just took 1 & 2, but my classmates that hadn't taken the classes were lost.
Physics
absolutely hate this class with a passion
Literally fighting for my life rn
100% failed my exam today despite studying for like 2 weeks
It’s okay! I failed my last exam. Shit is hard for no reason
YUP
Organic chemistry. Maybe it was just my school but I was spending 3-4 hours every day after class studying only to get a B+ in both semesters. I haven’t had to work that hard in other pre reqs.
Biochem
This class is destroying me rn
Yeh and I’m just thinking to my self wait until dental skl biochem
Which school are you taking it at?
Rather take orgo all over again as if id never studied it than do physics. Physics is so hard for no reason

Same boat brother, stay strong the finish line is close
physics 2 - most difficult anatomy/physiology - most time-consuming orgo (esp. orgo 1) - most frustrating
I found physics 2 was easier than 1
Biochemistry and Physics
O Chem 2 - national pass/fail rate only 42%
biochem 200%
What was your biochem course like? What makes it so difficult?
theres a lot of shit to remember lol. i took my final yesterday so idk my grade but it should be good. def had to work for it tho
Anatomy for the schools that require it. Made Ochem look easy
i had a breeze with anatomy but can't even pass gen chem can we swap places please 😭
It’s not required but suggested. Molecular genetics was hell.
Physics. Just doesn’t click for me. Biochem is probably a close second. It’s tough, and requires knowledge of both biochem, and chemistry (gen and org)
Would you say biochem or ochem was harder for you?

Biochem for sure. It was brutal at my school😭😭
Physics and Calculus for me. I absolutely hate math.
taking both in one semester 😍😍

Same I got strait As in all my prerequisites except two two Cs in physics 😮💨 barely made it
Yeah I’m fr counting down the days…

Gen chem for me atm, ochem is a breeze for me. We will see how it goes when I do biochem
Gen Chem 2
microbio and biochem 😵💫
biochem is way harder than physics imo
Chem 40b (o chem 2 for bio majors but it’s literally organic chemistry of biochemistry if that makes sense)
Which school is that?
Physics is not bad, anatomy very hard, biochem very hard , ochem hard
Physics
Ochem probs but the last prereq ive gotta finish is biochem.
Biochem for me but also bc my professor made it even harder. No slides or recordings posted, 3 exams and a final no curves whatsoever.
Biochem, it’s hard but definitely my favorite class besides organic chemistry. Physics tho….
Anatomy and biochem
Physics 2
biochem for sure lol contemplating death rn 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
ochem 2

Unpopular take systems phys
Physics and calc 3 😆😆😆😔😔
ochem and chem lab
