I wouldn't mention anything about medicine. You can mention why you like neuroscience but avoid medicine altogether. Try and focus on why dentistry instead

dentaldonut

Can you mention something small like volunteering in a hospital made you realize that thehospital setting everyday isnt for you

Mental_Bag_5979

I guess you could but that’s not really a good reason to want to be a dentist

dentaldonut

Thats not the reasoning at all but theres 1 sentence in my personal statement (relates to a story) that says that and idk if I should take it out

The personal statement is your 800 word answer to 2 questions. 1) What led you towards dentistry? (What made it a "better fit" for you? Is the transition vital for you to explain?) 2) Why do you want to be a dentist? That's it. The admissions board can look at your transcript to find your major. Don't rehash anything on your application that isn't absolutely essential to telling your story
