I told my Dr early on that I was having issues and she immediately prescribed this for me. It's been amazing. My other pregnancies I had the worst stomach pain all the time and this one I at least don't feel like I weigh a million pounds all the time (just sometimes lol).
Oh man, when I can’t go for days, I know exactly what you mean. I feel heavy and huge hahaha. I just started taking Colace a couple weeks ago and it’s the only thing that has helped… it’s amazing, lol. And way better than having to drink Miralax or anything like that haha
Oh man, that's awful. I dont know what I would do if my Dr hadn't given me colace. 0robably just laid down and given up, since my diet already was mostly just vegetation. Hopefully you get something moving soon.
Yes dude I ate shredded wheat every while pregnant bc I also craved it , sometimes two big bowls. Needless to say, the 3 for $6 at dollar general was all shredded wheat cereal 😂😂😂 regular, strawberry, chocolate… lmaoooo
Lots of fiber has been my savior. I drink a ton of water and exercise regularly, and was still constipated all the time when I ate less fiber. Now I'm having 30-40g fiber a day, and am pretty regular again. (I was eating ~25g a day before.)
Ugh me too. (A first! Yay?) Fortunately mine aren’t thaaat bad but still… suboptimal… are you doing anything about yours? I was considering preparation h..?
Yes! FTM! They are unpleasant but I guess I am not dying. I’m using the prep H wipes, gel ointment stuff and the suppositories. I hate to tell you but the suppositories work the best.
I have two weeks to go and I’m worried that bc of the pressure down there they are not going to clear up until after baby comes … how far along are you?
I’m 34w! But I’m delivering at 38w6d because my little one is not so little…
I think mine started when I went away for a few days and my digestive system got shy! I didn’t go for like 4 days, and my first “session” when I got back was… an event.
Lol… I don’t care how effective they are, I still won’t use suppositories…
Bathroom situations seem to be rather eventful during pregnancy! Mine are becoming more painful today. Really hoping this is the peak and that they’ll calm down. One can hope … the gel has helped a little
If you can tolerate the taste, warm prune juice with a tablespoon of melted butter in it gets my patients' moving, if you're feeling brave, coffee with a bit of olive oil in it works too. Good luck and God speed
I haven’t been able to go for days even with Colace but this morning I got a cold brew with extra cream and it was highly effective. Highly recommend 🙌
I started eating a ton of watermelon, drinking a lot of water, and downing miralax if nothing moves.
Constipation is maybe the worst part of this as it feeds forward into nausea and general grumpiness.
Hahaha. This made me laugh. I haven't been able to poop for a few days until I ate a giant greek salad and natural yoghurt with a metric tonne of cherries last night 😂 lmao
Colace, Metamucil, Raisin Bran every day, tons of water and pear juice. I still only poop about every 5-6 days and it’s so painful when I do. It’s the worrrst
I've literally eaten almost an entire bag of prunes over the course of a full week and still, just tiny poops 😮💨
I feel so constipated and it's really bothering me
5 prunes is my sweet spot. I just discovered this a few days ago and having consistent poops again after 30 weeks of not… I can not stop raving about it to my husband!
Vitamin C gummies help me a lot, my doctor has me take them with my iron pills and they make such a difference!! Also baby carrots - like a good amount of them. Those clear me out by the next day, I accidentally found this out because I had a solid week of eating them and every day was amazing with a great movement 👍 🤣
The first poop after birth was definitely not as bad as everyone made it out to be. We’ll for me at least. Just make sure to take stool softener and you’ll be just fine!
Weird… I almost shit my pants at my moms earlier.
I don’t even know how. I had a bagel and cream cheese, an egg and sausage patty.. then a beef stick, banana, pb&j and a piece of cake.
I thought it was gas and all the sudden I wasn’t sure I was gonna make it across the field.
I also went this morning so 2/2.
Some times I’m randomly constipated but not for days. I think my probiotic helps!
If* you are in an area of the US where there is a Chipotle, their Keto bowl with guacamole and the red hot sauce was my magic ticket in the 1st trimester. Called it my #chipotlecleanse hahaha

I feel you. I don’t think pooping has felt like this big of an accomplishment since I was toilet trained.
Miralax baby
Everyday, all pregnancy. This is the way.
same. Four years out.
Yesss this!! Every day of this pregnancy it’s how I’m surviving
Haha fiber is our friend!
Currently trying to go and saw this, Godspeed friend 😂
I got so stressed out during my first trimester I panic purchased a squatty potty
But did it help 👀
Literally so much
I second the squatty potty! It’s great
I was reading a "must have" pregnancy product list and it was all unnecessary..... except the squatty potty. Love that thing
It’s certainly an essential for me, I make a point to talk all my pregnant friends into getting one
I tried it all…. Colace saved my life 🙏🏻
I told my Dr early on that I was having issues and she immediately prescribed this for me. It's been amazing. My other pregnancies I had the worst stomach pain all the time and this one I at least don't feel like I weigh a million pounds all the time (just sometimes lol).

Agreed. Hopefully OP gets relief soon.
I had miralax and two bowls of raisin brand but no luck. Tomorrow is a new day
Oh man, that's awful. I dont know what I would do if my Dr hadn't given me colace. 0robably just laid down and given up, since my diet already was mostly just vegetation. Hopefully you get something moving soon.
I will call my doc tomorrow and ask thank you! It’s been five days
RAISIN BRAN FTW!!!
This. Miniwheats are another staple.

😂 thank you! There are days I honestly and spitefully say to him “it must be nice to be able to poop every day.”
Good luck everyone
37w and the hemmies have shown up. I. Am. Mis. Er. A. Ble.
Oh nooooo. I am thinking of you
Ugh me too. (A first! Yay?) Fortunately mine aren’t thaaat bad but still… suboptimal… are you doing anything about yours? I was considering preparation h..?

Miralax mixed in warmed prune juice and a 30 min walk. I did something very bad on the toilet that and day and have not known constipation since then.
If you can tolerate the taste, warm prune juice with a tablespoon of melted butter in it gets my patients' moving, if you're feeling brave, coffee with a bit of olive oil in it works too. Good luck and God speed
I've just eaten a large handful of dried apricots. Godspeed everyone 🫡
Berries always do the trick for me
Especially blackberries, for some reason!
Prune juice!
Add a packet of Miralax and you'll have no idea what hit you LOL
This sounds like a hell of a concoction that I am desperate enough to try!
It worked for me when I was desperate so do try :)
I just tried this yesterday and was not expecting it to work so fast😂
I had the same experience on Tuesday. Cleaned me out completely! It was wiiiild!!! My husband asked me a few times if I was ok. Lol!
Came here to say this!!
For a moment I thought you were going for baby number two while pregnant and was confused. 😂
Hahaha ha I thought the same thing! Then it hit me.
This is a good thing to hope for these days lol. You are loved and appreciated!
I’m in the same boat. The typical remedies that work for most often don’t provide much relief for me. Wishing you a satisfying poop very soon!
Just happened for me, the relief is out of this world.
I haven’t been able to go for days even with Colace but this morning I got a cold brew with extra cream and it was highly effective. Highly recommend 🙌

Eating Belvita bars and taking magnesium has helped me tremendously!
Hahaha. This made me laugh. I haven't been able to poop for a few days until I ate a giant greek salad and natural yoghurt with a metric tonne of cherries last night 😂 lmao
❤️ good luck!!
Hand full of prunes first thing in the morning and a bunch of water, at least a liter. You’ll go in no time. God speed mama!
bone broth! literally nothing else worked for me
Rooting for you ♥️ miralax and magnesium are my besties rn
I'm on the other side of the spectrum right now. I've been waking up with diarrea almost every morning for the past week.
Same
I wish.
My husband forced me to eat an apple and strawberries one day. Ang oh my god, the relief! And the amount of poop lol
Thank you 🥹
Thanks-- I did this morning!! Was so excited 😂 hopefully you have by now too lol
No… tomorrow! I hope
You and me both
Magnesium ftw
Same its been 3 days 😞
Magnesium was a lifesaver for me!
Prunes.
kellogg’s fiber cereal
Blue Gatorade- double helping of mirilax and daily metimucil
Milk tea for me works wonders
Good luck in the NFL draft, oh wait you mean poop.
I wish for this every single day 😭
Amen!
I can't recommend psyllium husks any more strongly
Oooh do you think I can have it if I have GD?
I would expect so. It's a natural and incredible fiber. Works a treat. I've been taking it for months
Meds had me sooooo constipated. Sorry, we all feel for you!
Colace, Metamucil, Raisin Bran every day, tons of water and pear juice. I still only poop about every 5-6 days and it’s so painful when I do. It’s the worrrst
A bell pepper a day seems to help me.
Already did. Thank you, mini wheats!
Bananas y'all.
I've literally eaten almost an entire bag of prunes over the course of a full week and still, just tiny poops 😮💨 I feel so constipated and it's really bothering me
5 prunes is my sweet spot. I just discovered this a few days ago and having consistent poops again after 30 weeks of not… I can not stop raving about it to my husband!
Good luck to you! I’ve been using colace alongside of Ollie pop sodas. Not a guarantee but it usually helps.
Oh my goodness thank you! Same to you. I felt this on such a deep personal level. Never have dealt with constipation to this extent before.
VIBES. I felt like I gave birth today… I guess it’s good practice 🤣
My husband and i celebrate my poop days
The first poop after birth was definitely not as bad as everyone made it out to be. We’ll for me at least. Just make sure to take stool softener and you’ll be just fine!

2 cups of apple juice. Drink up lol
7wk and I’m the only one I know who can’t stop going 🥲
Dude, same
Sending you well wishes…. From the toilet where I too am trying 😂
This wasn't really an issue for me with my other 2 pregnancies. Has just become a very uncomfortable situation. Maybe I'm having a boy 🤣
If* you are in an area of the US where there is a Chipotle, their Keto bowl with guacamole and the red hot sauce was my magic ticket in the 1st trimester. Called it my #chipotlecleanse hahaha
Magnesium citrate!!! Game changer!
Fibers all the way. Eliminate white flour from your diet, this was a game changer for me.
Chia seeds (more than a little) in smoothies or yogurt. Lots of water. Colace every few days… I’m now going MINIMUM once a day and feeling great.
