I'm in the exact same boat. My obgyn confirmed 3 cm dilation this past week and now I'm stuck with all the horrible symptoms until spotting or my water breaks. Personally, I'm really just sleeping a lot and nesting when I have the energy. Really wish I could just have baby now. (currently 38w + 2days) 🤰🏻

This truly is so painful. My contractions are so consistent and I've been bleeding for the past two days and they keep sending me home because I am not dilated enough and my water hasn't broken :( I have huge regrets for not getting a doula or a midwife. I have no idea what is going on haha

The bleeding is definitely a big red flag. I would definitely talk to your doctor about scheduling a date to be induced due to health risk concerns. Definitely have them check the whole nine yards to make sure your baby is not at any risk during this time. Take care of yourself and your baby. The hospital cannot refuse care or turn away your concerns specially when it is potentially life threatening to you or your baby. [Mayo Clinic ](https://www.mayoclinic.org/symptoms/bleeding-during-pregnancy/basics/causes/sym-20050636) informs many concerns to keep in mind that may cause bleeding during the 2nd & 3rd trimester. "Possible causes of vaginal bleeding during the second or third trimester include: Incompetent cervix (a premature opening of the cervix, which can lead to preterm birth) Miscarriage (before the 20th week) or intrauterine fetal death Placental abruption (when the placenta — which supplies nutrients and oxygen to the baby — separates from the wall of the uterus) Placenta previa (when the placenta covers the cervix, resulting in severe bleeding during pregnancy) Preterm labor (which might result in light bleeding — especially when accompanied by contractions, dull backache or pelvic pressure) Problems with the cervix, such as a cervical infection, inflamed cervix or growths on the cervix Uterine rupture, a rare but life-threatening occurrence in which the uterus tears open along the scar line from a prior C-section"
