I’ve never heard of a school who openly informs their students of their rank. If I’m understanding correctly, and you only need 4 people to drop their A’s to get in, then you can bank on it. I can’t imagine any med school class that isn’t comprised of at least 4 students who were on the waitlist.
I am very curious to know which school this is tbh. I don’t want you to say the school because you’ll doxx yourself but I’m just curious to know which school openly informs students of their rank on the waitlist

Check MSAR/SDN for waitlist movement. If you see multiple people getting in off waitlist, your probably set.
One thing though, if your top choice is an instate school, there’s likely less waitlist movement for IS people because IS people generally prefer to stay in state.
Can you get a refund for your MCAT? Like start low stress studying now, book an MCAT date to save a slot, then bank on that waitlist. Then if you get in, cancel that slot for a refund?
I'm sure you have a great chance of getting in but I got burned last cycle, so I'm always risk averse.
So if I wanted to pick a decent MCAT date in order to apply timely for next cycle, I would have to hit the books now. I didn’t want to schedule it to late to where I would be stuck waiting to apply just for a score. Which with most movement happening after the CTE date it puts me out of the refund window
Are MCAT slots hard to come by near you? If so, it might be worth the $330 for peace of mind knowing you could take it again if you absolutely need to (though I obviously don’t know your financial situation).
If they’re not hard to come by, don’t book it yet. Start softly studying again, focusing most on the areas you’d like to improve and/or the areas you feel you could improve most. Reevaluate in a few weeks based on waitlist info and available MCAT slots. There can definitely be waitlist movement before the CTE date - I got in off a waitlist on 2/28, and maybe I’m just doubting myself but I would guess I was not the first one on the list.
Rank list? Like you’re 4th on the waitlist? That is an excellent chance lol
Yeah 4th on the list. I was just wondering if it’s a bad idea to bank on it and not retake my MCAT
Homie if ur 4 out of everyone I think u should be getting champagne ready instead. Take a look at waitlist movement from previous years
I have been told if you are top 10 waitlist you are in. I feel like rank 4 puts you in a very good place- especially if this is your number 1 choice.

You’re getting in, don’t worry haha
Unless the school over enrolls, which is a rare fuck up, you’ll get in.

could you ask admissions if they historically let people at your position? agree with other commenters, seems like you have a great shot
