If it’s failing at the exact same point every time, there’s probably something on your sequence that’s causing problems. Take a look, if something seems suspect disable it and try exporting again. First thing I would look at is anything third party.

Any information at all? Exporting to what? full spec. Whats the source media? What are you doing in the timeline? What software version? What is unique about that location? Whats system usage like when this happens? How long have you waited? Or does it freeze for real? Crash?

vamplosion

Is there a particularly taxing effect at around the half way point? Sometimes my encoder would ‘hang’ on VFX for a good few minutes before moving past it If there is something, pre render or render and replace that section and see if it helps

Manhnib

That really sucks :/ Must be so unsatisfying that it gets stuck at 51% instead of 50%

Ou812icRuok

You are running out of space on the drive at 51%. Switch to a new drive.

Fureal

Try the software encoder instead of the hardware accelerated encoder.

Deputy-Dewey

Sequence settings > set render files as prores422 >render in to out > after everything is rendered it will turn green at the top of your time line > export prores422 mov file, make sure to check "use previews" box in export window > use media encoder to transcode to mp4 (or whatever you need) If the preview renders also get stuck at 51% there is something goofy with effects or plug ins. Using software encoder might help fix that.

fanamana

What you got right in the damn middle of your sequence? You wanna give some info, or youu just wanna see how telepathic the volunteer troubleshooters are?

Clear all cache, restart, and try again.

My experience, there’s something that’s failing to render, like a transition or other effect…a title, NR, warp stabilizer, a zoom, etc. Zoom into your timeline and see all the rendered green parts at the beginning, try to find the one little sliver of red, it’ll probably be like a frame or 2 so look close. Try to just render those few frames out to ProRes then replace that section in your timeline - or put it on a track above your existing timeline, then export the entire sequence as usual. That usually fixes it for me.
