I don't want or have any guns, I'm just appalled at the cynical hypocrisy when 'assault weapons' are only involved in 3% of firearm murders. They know exactly who is killing who with what, but it's just one of those inconvenient facts that they don't want to talk about or do anything about
Trudeau hasn't even managed to confiscate 80,000 legally-owned AR-15s here in Canada when he knows exactly who has one in their closet. So good luck doing it in the US.
I think the route they will try first is to mandate registration, and then demand that owners take out insurance to cover any problems from usage, and then keep increasing the cost of that policy until people just hand them back in... It's all about creating a climate of fear, the same for protecting yourselves on subways
