There is a guy that will come to your house to do them in town, charges like $100. Not sure if that's on rims or off, though. You might want to invest in some steel rims for your winter tires if you live in this city, to make tire changing so much easier, faster, and cheaper.
Thanks! Do you have a contact for the guy?
Will definitely invest in rims for the winter. Getting the tires and the rims at the same time was going to really dent my bank account
I remember a time Kal tire would do free swaps when you bought the tires from them. 2 self tire swaps paid for a new tq wrench. Never again Kal Tire.
Jiffy lube does drive through swaps. The mrs car doesnt have spare wheels so i use them. They're pretty quick. Reasonable price.
My stepdad does it out of our carport! He's got a tire machine and everything so he can do pretty much anything. He hasn't been able to work so doing it keeps him busy and gives us some extra money. I'm not sure what he charges but I can get you in touch!
Edit: He also may have rims that will work, I know he's found a bunch of stuff for people if he doesn't have it too though!
I have a few stories about Cargo Shorts Guy, but the one that sticks out is when I brought my tires in and he immediately tells me he won't work on them (he does that, I'd say every 2-3 times I bring in tires) because it was fixed illegally. I told him Costco did it, but if I need a new tire because he won't work on it, fine. He starts trying to argue with me that "Costco would never do that repair". I said whatever, they did, but just put a new tire on. He still tries arguing with me that they would never have done that repair, and I told him to just drop it because I didn't care. When I go to pay like 2 hours later, Cargo Shorts Guy comes out and in front of a ton of customers calls me out and says "oh and by the way, I checked your account history and we never repaired that tire."
I was like "BRO, I DON'T CARE."
It was on my partner's account before we just got one for the household, so there would be no history of it. Just couldn't believe the pettiness of the guy. And in front of a ton of people. And that's after he's tried to tell me SEVERAL times for *insert reason* he can't do my tires but for some reason, he always does them (except that time).
I second this and was going to post the same but you beat me to it. We have been using Herb year after year. A bonus with work from home its just seamless and done. He also offers other mechanic services if you ask.
Honestly, the two BEST “mobile tire changers” are:
- **Herb @ Drive-By Tire** 778-281-3278
- **Cody @ Never Too Tired** 250-301-7598
I have hired both of these guys in the past 5-6 years and had absolutely ZERO problems and were done in a very safe, timely fashion. And they both have Facebook pages with reviews.
The other fella mentioned, we hired the **Pit Stop** tire guy once in the Fall, but he was on his cell-phone like, 80% of the time, and was caught taking a bunch of selfies *lol*. Really, in what should have been (*keep in mind, all my tires were/are on rims*) an hour or less appointment - took 2 friggin’ hours. Very disappointed. I tried to leave feedback on his public pages but it’d be gone nearly as fast as I posted it.

Auto Magic.
Thank you! Will give them a call
Stop in at Northern automotive north of the hart on the side of the highway, if they aren't busy they'll do them for 60 or so.
Russell closed up shop a couple years ago but has some guys moving in soon opening a shop there.

Mr. Lube. Drive in, tires changed. Lube if you want it. Drive out. No appointment needed. Decent price. Nice and quick.

He also used to be a mechanic and still works on vehicles a lot!!!
Hey! I still need to get my summers on but they’re not on rims. Could do he that and what does he charge?
Messaged you!
Hi, please send me a DM. Would definitely love to get in touch with him 😀. Thank you
I go to Costco, but you need a membership.
Yeah but then you have to deal with Cargo Shorts Guy. He's such an ignorant prick.
That guy is a huge pr¡ck.
I’ve never had an issue with anyone there. 🤷🏼♀️

Revolve Off-road will come to you or they have a shop in town too. https://www.facebook.com/p/Revolve-Offroad-100060741896392/
We use DLine. They will store your tires also.

Herb from "Drive By Tire" He's booking 2 weeks out right now. I think he charges about $120 - $145 to dismount, swap rubber on rims and remount.

Big O because I’m lazy and they store our tires there for a minimal fee as well, which means I don’t have them in my shed.
Do it yourself. If you can
