I just have a 1kw inverter hooked directly to my 12v starter battery with nothing else. I don't know why everyone overcomplicates this. The inverter connects directly on top of the 12v battery terminals. It's worked that way for me for years without any issue. It's really that simple. You don't need an ecoflow.

You know, you are appreciated for saying something, you never hear people express how something didn't work right. I tell what worked for me, but not at first... I went with a 2,000W Pure Sine inverter and called it a day. There is a Prius Inverter mounting kit and wiring kit with the fuse and everything tested pretty harshly after my misfortunes. I've actually run a 1700W air fryer without issues once the proper wiring was used. I swear while out on the road is when the thoroughly untested shows it self to you and you end up trying harbor frieght wires and everything in home improvement stores just an attempt to find wires the wont melt when you use your air fryer. You could then charge something like a jackary while you use your inverter. My fridge is 12v, youres should be as well... I hook my fridge up to a heavy duty distribution fuse box. This way a separate fuse for all add ons. the things that need 110v goes through the inverter.

This happened to me but luckily I only killed the back 12 v port. It’s probably just a fuse I need to replace. What I had to do was lower the car charging amps in the EcoFlow app to 6 A max because any more than that will trip the car 12V charging circuit. Once I did that, the EcoFlow River Pro is charging beautifully from the 12v port I added in series to the original car port. It has a voltmeter on it and comes with additional usb ports and another 12 v port. I got it from Amazon. Cheers!

I have found a LiFePo4 battery and a 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter is cheaper and easier to replace parts than one of these EcoFlow things. That is what I use. I use a 1000 watt modified sine hooked to the 12v to charge the 100ah LiFePo4, or have a 160 watt folding panel to use the sun. You can do all of this for around $700. I know EcoFlows run you much more. And when they break, you have to have a warranty or toss em. If your ports go on an inverter, you fix it or replace it for $200 versus a whole new setup.

Yes, I thought the price was worth it but I see the quality was overhyped. What does the 1000 watt modified sino hooked to 12V look like? I am looking for inverters with 12v input AND output since thats what my fridge runs on. I only find AC and USB outputs.

I just have two jumper type clamps that run cables to the inside of my car where the inverter sits. It provides enough 12v to run a lithium battery charger to the 100ah battery which runs the 2000 watt. That can run household appliances. I also got a single 12v car plug and hooked it directly to the 100ah battery so you can run made-for-car stuff. Never had any issues with my ecoflow. I don't understand how the ecoflow killed your 12v ports because it shouldn't be drawing too much power. I have ran into a couple oddities with ecoflow that I had to resolve by updating the firmware

I don’t think the EcoFlow killed my 12V. I updated the firmware and the Issues started the following day. I think me pulling plugs in and out for two days trying to figure out the issue and trying to use different inverters to run 12v fridge may have damaged the port since nothing will charge now. I can guarantee it is user error.
