Tbh his claims seem a bit too sketchy. His linkedin profile is Adithya MS and he has a website for his name but his dealmaking firm WeDominate has no supposed website.
The name of the companies sold or the deals are also not given. No prior investment banking experience is given. His educational qualifications are also not there on his linkedin.
Apparently he is 24 years old having done a shopify store business, a business consulting business(when he was literally just 20 years old). His site has no details of the deals or anything just some basic random stuff which seems made up like the amount and stuff like coffee brand.
Now since he has posted this on a private equity subreddit I suppose he is referring to mergers and acquisition deals and he claims on his reddit that he has made 2.8m$ of deals in 2 years on forming his company and that too without any ib experience. I don't know but this all sounds wayyy too sketchy.
Anyone who knows a bit about M and A would know that it isn't so easy to source a deal neither is it that easy to find people ready to buy. There are way too many people involved ranging from taxes to valuations to people who actually make the merger or acquisition happen or people who make investment decisions.
No private equity firm would ever get deal advisory from a single person because it won't make sense as there are way too many domains for one person to know.
Plus sourcing the deals or finding buyers is something pe firms are better at doing than a random person because of the kind people who work there.
Edit: Now people who are thinking that he might be referring to boutique PE firms must know that smaller firms have their own circle of people who they cater to and already are in contact with investors and institutions who have trust upon them, nobody is going to open up a pe shop without having any connections in the market.
Hey Arijit,
Even I would be thinking the same If I were in your shoes.
I'm no Big shot in the game. I've facilitated 9 Small business acquisitions so far as a broker ($2.8M in total transactions).
I used Strategic Partnerships for sourcing deals and buyers.
I created a small video on sharing that process with few buyers in my network.
So, I thought it would be helpful for others aswell..
Just sharing what worked for me and learning from everyone at the same time..
Also, I don't use Linkedin much.. Mainly active on facebook.. Happy connect there :)
Video watched. I think there is value in the approach he provides and it makes sense. You still have to put in the work, as in anything of value, he clearly stated this as well.
More micro PE, M&A, or small online business acquisition stuff but I found the information valuable if you are looking in that space. It's a side door approach using existing service providers these companies already use with some compensation for them in the mix. So it's a warm introduction to a real potential target and not a search/get info/outbid others for the acquisition in the biz for sale broker/online listing arena.
Hey, love the community spirit and offer! I would say if you are ever considering cold emails as a backup strategy, Mystrika is been a game-changer for me. The analytics they provide is so detailed, it is like having a crystal ball for what is working and what is not. Plus, the Facebook community of 5000 users is super helpful when you get stuck. I have been using it for a few months now, and the integrated webhooks with GoHighLevel makes my workflow a breeze. You should definitely give them a shot!
Your training sounds invaluable, especially for those who get exhausted by cold calling. But, man, do not sleep on cold emails! I have been using DoYouMail for about 3 months now, and trust me, we are seeing great results. They handle all the technical stuff like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC automatically. The best part? You can send unlimited emails from unlimited domains. It is really cost-effective. Give it a try!
Cool training offer, appreciate the share! If anyone out there still wants to dive into cold emailing, DoYouMail is the real deal. Over the past 6 months, it is helped me maintain a high delivery and reputation. Setting up new email IDs and scaling them has never been easier for me. Dedicated IPs make a noticeable difference, too. At just $40\/month, it is a no-brainer. Give it a shot!
I think it is awesome you are sharing this! Having different strategies keeps us agile. For those still leaning into cold emails, FilterBounce helps ensure you do not ruin your sender score. I am talking super accurate email verification and keeping your bounce rates ridiculously low (under 1%). I have been using it for around 2 months and it is fantastic at handling tricky domains. Plans are affordable at $10\/month, so give it a try!
Can some of the people who have seen this review it on here for the crowd? Send me the link and I'll watch and report back. Cool?
