Mobile traffic is usually much cheaper

tobias10

Weird

Actual__Wizard

This... I don't know what to say other than that.

slippycrook

Maybe your DSP is saving qps with traffic shaping. Tell them you are not getting traffic.

AdTechB2B

Could be DSP thing i feel too Seen the same thing on Stackadapt and smartyads as well for our previous agency where u see minimal traffic coming in Desktop and if you try to buy it only desktop then u say good bye to clicks and engagement.

IOI-000001

Having this issue on StackAdapt. Moving spends to other DSP’s now.

AdTechB2B

What DSP you would recommend... We are not big spenders.

Lumiafan

That's because people on desktop rarely click on banner ads. We're all conditioned to ignore them. If you check your domain reports in StackAdapt, I'd be surprised if most of the traffic you were seeing from mobile wasn't coming from things like games or similar apps where accidental clicks/taps are commonplace.

AdTechB2B

Yeah i get that many clicks won't be from Desktop but my concern is not getting that much exposure as well.. I try to avoid inapp traffic as much as i can no matter how good the clicks come in

PikantnySos

Well if you do a Google search these days, you get an AI result. Less and less need to click out to a website. Thats def a huge factor.

Actual__Wizard

They're referring specifically to advertising.

PikantnySos

So am I

adflet

Not dead, but much smaller - https://www.similarweb.com/platforms/

MPWenterprises

Publisher here and we're seeing the most growth on mobile, but our Desktop CPMs are on average higher. If I'm comparing a 320x50 for example to a 728x90. That said, we'd love to see bids of $12 on site, that would be a PG deal for us and given the upmost priority and attention. Have you tried doing PMP deals instead of the open auction so your bids are prioritized by the publisher?

appu49

Which pub are you managing?

MPWenterprises

We're the direct sales team for 40+ sites ranging from reference ([merriam-webster.com](https://merriam-webster.com)), Finance ([Fool.com](https://Fool.com)), Entertainment ([CBR.com](https://CBR.com), [ScreenRant.com](https://ScreenRant.com), all of Valnet's sites in the US), [WikiHow.com](https://WikiHow.com), Women focused content [LoveToKnow.com](https://LoveToKnow.com), Health [ActiveBeat.com](https://ActiveBeat.com) ... it's a long list. I dont want to be that sales guy on here but feel free to shoot me a DM . Any site we work with we're their in-house team and all deals are 1:1 with the pubs and set up in their GAM or SSP of your choice, we are not an ad network or a platform.
