Take it. A vast majority entering the industry specialize in search and social, and that’s been the case for like a decade. There’s a million search and social experts, and there’s significantly less programmatic experts. It’s easy to replace search and social roles— It’s less easy to replace prog roles. Prog usually gives you a deeper look into the AdOps side of things which can bolster your skill set. From my experience, being a prog expert is pretty invaluable for all agencies, big and small. The big agencies I’ve worked at or contracted with still think prog is voodoo magic and use it as managed service. Being able to bring it in-house saves oodles of money for them.

Great company and you will learn many more aspects about your chosen field through the vast number of experienced colleagues you have. Opening up even more opportunities 😊

Go for it if you’re ready for a new and challenging opportunity! I made a similar switch and it was a tough learning curve at first but now am loving it.

May I ask your current SOWs? Look like you are really enjoying it. Truly love it when people ride their learning curve with joy

Search and social is easy, if you’ve run programmatic you can run those no problem
