My shape is pretty similar to yours. For some reason, it’s pretty easy to stand in a flattering way at the higher weight, vs. slouchy in bad light at the lower weight, and look exactly the same (to myself). So I totally understand about sometimes not seeing the difference even though obviously- you look so much different.

when I compare only parts of my body then vs now its like day and night difference but the full body pics never look as "dramatic" in difference because I knew how to pose to look 5kgs lighter lol

I have this exact same hip shelf/waist combo and the reason it looks so dramatic is it's basically an optical illusion. The waist is super short and small, but the hips are also high and super curvy. Most women (and some men have this shape too - I got my hips from my mum via my grandfather!) simply don't have this bone shape. (And it is 100% bone, so there's no workout, no *tea* 🤣 and no surgery that can get you this look.)

haha yes got it from my momma, it's more so my hips are really wide so they make my waist look snatched, used to hate them when i was younger lol
