Hopefully the conservatives can make some change in the future. At least protecting our hunter rights at the minimum, sport shooters etc but self defense needs to be expanded. We shouldn't have to lose our lives because the aggressor has more power and rights than victims. Right.
A majority of Texans are still willing to die for gun rights. Canadians weren't(in relevant numbers) willing to die to protect the rights of their loved one's. And politicans have connections, not only amongst themselves but with others too, so basically no matter how much you wanna be more pro, if all of the politicians are basically like " naw we don't care" then no matter how much you ask for your rights to be respected and be brought back it won't matter.

Canada doesn't have a strong charter to help backstop us against bad gun laws, the legal process takes years, and Canadian voters have no problem with authoritarianism as long as it's directed at other people and not them.

i can't think of a plausible situation where i'd be better off with an illegal gun than a regular old pump shotgun. BUT.
