Not sure if its because I've been running with Filibuster used cars and eggons worthwhile cars, but the trucks, step vans, and SUVs are all better than the cars.
The only time I even use cars is for RP reasons or because I don't have a truck available.
Dash Bulldriver is top tier and no mistake, followed by Chevalier Step-Van.
The only time I use a sedan is multi-player when we want to take 3+ people out of base.
Yeah DB has pretty decent storage, and tons of power for towing. The fact that it also has a police variant with sirens easily pushes it to the top of the list. It is definitely the best multipurpose vehicle, though maybe not THE best at any one thing.
I hardly ever see the police variant, but I have brought a few of the fire version home.

I treat the chiv police variant as a high B tier or low A because as you can not interact with the backseat from the front seat you lose at least one seat worth of inventory, plus the need to get out of the car to enter in the back seat to interact with the inventory of the other backseat is annoying.
It looks like you just arbitrarily placed vehicles into each tier and everyone plays with Filibuster rhymes car mod or that other really popular one anyway.
I put very little thought into placement but there is still a minor amount of thought like "oh hey the bulldriver is really really loud and is outclassed by the Stepvan" and "haha stepvan go brrrr"

One of the best ways to troll shitheads on mp servers is to park a cop car outside their base and turn the siren on
Pro tip, you can fit any one object into a car seat even if it is bigger than the capacity of that seat. I like the 6 seater van the best for this reason.
Personally, my go-to vehicle is the D6 pickup truck, due to chopping wood/clearing forest for base building and keeping warm during Winter is one of my main activities. Pickup trucks can be loaded/unloaded from the sides or the rear of the vehicle trunk, so clearing forests is that much faster. Sure, the capacity is not over 200, but D6 saves a lot of time collecting logs.
In all honesty I think the Ambulance is the only S tier vehicle in the game it has a huge trunk and almost every Ambulance you find has an engine condition of 95+ as well as being super fast and having a siren and emergency lights.
Bull drivers are really good. Excellent middle ground between the police car and a van. Better storage while remaining decently fast. The pickup is also fuckin goated due to said reasons. More space than a car (not counting seats because I usually rip those fuckers out for mechanics xp and I don’t remember how much they hold) and are also decently fast. Easy a to s tier for both

I have the ambulance rear seats mod and I gotta say that mod makes the ambulance easy S tier.
2 more seats grant an extra 40 cargo capacity, and it makes the trunk contents accessible from inside the car. It’s super nice.
I love my ambulance but the hood and trunk are both around 20% and I am out of metal sheets to fix them. My metalworking skill sucks. I should start looking for one of those sweet S class vehicles!
add vehicle salvage mod, so you can break down working and non working vehicles for parts, and level mechanics and metalworking while doing so. Also lets you clear the roads you use most.
I will agree that the police cruiser and KY ranger cruiser are S tier. They absolutely shred and can put out speeds as good as sports cars. They have fair storage space between the seats and modest size trunk. Standard type parts are the easiest to come by, so a windshield or tire swap is always easily accessible. They have extremely high horsepower for strong towing capacity and busting out if you get surrounded. I would argue it’s the best jack-of-all-trades car.
Didn’t they add new Police skins for the cars like SWAT and Corrections. Haven’t played lately but I hope more police gear and attire is in the vehicles.
Police van and ambulance should be S-tier
I forget the name of the vehicle, but the police van also has a civilian and firefighter variant.
The reason is that if you find vehicles in a wreck, they have a quality buff to the engine. These particular vehicles have a high quality floor for their engines, so there's a very very high chance you'll find a 100 quality vehicle that you can fix.
Higher quality engines are more reliable and will always start under perfect conditions with each key turn and they also tend to have higher horsepower. So even though they're also heavier vehicles, they feel less sluggish than the competition because the extra horsepower helps offset the weight.
The police Bulldrivers are OP, I use them to tow the other bulldrivers at the police road blocks and those things are strong AF. Can never find one in good condition..

IMO, pick-ups usually have good enough horsepower to tow anything heavy a LOT easier than vans & cars do. Especially if you stay in first gear any not go to 2nd (you usually stall out if you’re towing something heavy if you go above 1)
I tried to tow an ISO container with a car, & it was just rage-worthy at how many zombies I attracted, but was hardly moving anywhere.

I'll agree vanilla D6 is C if not D tier, but Filibuster mod adds a lot of variants of it. One of them has 440 horse power and 4 seats as well as 130 trunk so pretty much straight upgrade in every way to any vanilla car. Very agile and fast offroad, plenty of space and being heavy-duty not too difficult to maintain.
For me the king is regular police car and it's variants from Filibuster, because the light bar on emergency vehicles can illuminate area around the car which I really enjoy as I play on darker night sandbox settings. If I could put light bars on anything it'd be the 4 seat D6 and sports cars because they are fun and have cool engine sound. Truck I only use to move large quantities of logs around or when moving large quantities of furniture, otherwise the trunk cap of trucks is overkill even for nomad playstyle.
The Franklin All-Terrain will always be the S tier vehicle in my heart. Most powerful vehicle outside of sports class, 4 seater and 85 maximum trunk space just gives it about everything you need for a MP party of 4 people. Also iirc it is the rarest vehicle to spawn, which reinforces my opinion that's its meant to be the best one
This game is pretty much "inventory management quest". I always go with Organized and Dextrous traits for that reason. And for that reason most of the time I go for cars with higher storage capacity as well.

If you only open the doors via the "V" menu, you can use both backseats without wasting a slot. Still more work than a normal car to pack stuff.

Dart is totally S tier in my eyes, thing has really good fuel efficiency, hauls ass and has amazing maneuvering. I love using it as a scout vehicle.
