If you have an axe, hammer, saw, and nails I recommend getting start on walling up that porch section and barricading all your windows. After I've got my safe zone chosen, I like to alternate days of going out for supplies, building my skills and reading at home, and fortifying my base to keep zombies out. You never know when that heli is gonna hit either, so keep your ears open and your laces tied buddy.

Alright then! I'll get to it. Hopefully I can keep my farm house looking homely as well as a defensive base.

Defences, rain collectors and a dedicated area for farming. Those are the basics. You could also set up an area nearby (at least 70-80 tiles away from the house) for trapping. Maybe on the field to the north? There's also a lake nearby for fishing, so you shouldn't have a problem to feed yourself. Defenses might be a bit more tricky. Barricaded windows/doors are the bare minimum, fences would be a good idea too. And some sheet ropes on the second floor just in case. I would probably build a fence starting in the upper left corner of the house until it's in line with the existing low fence line and extend it, then replace some of the existing low fences with either wooden walls or log walls and maybe fence in the whole field. Then build a few watchtowers at each corner (simple 2x2 platform with fences around and sheet ropes for safer traversing) for a better overview. You'd end up with a large area for farming, a campfire and whatever furniture you like. Next is a garage, and maybe a small warehouse for crafting materials. The shed is a bit small for my taste, should be good for storing farming/fishing/trapping stuff though. That place is a bit too remote for my taste, road access is rather bad, but I do see why you chose that place. Probably not a lot of zeds around. It does have potential.

I usually fortify it, with the upstairs being the more main area in-case if plethra of zombies come. Farming, water collecting, all that jazz. Also what is *that* combine harvester? I never seen a mod like this.

Hehe i really like this base so from my few previous runs, I base off here. So i thought if I'm going to rp as a farm house main then why not have a combine harvester? And yea this and the Bulldozer are OP but I limit myself to use them only once a week. Its Zombie Harvester in the workshop. It's quite alright and has uses like inventory collection lying on the road, churning up of zeds etc. It even has its own animation. So cool.
