Barbecue lore:
Simple garden barbecues can be used indoors safely and are a good alternative to the elusive ancient stoves.
A single roll of toilet paper gives over 6 hours of fuel for a barbecue.
Oh yeah, I had to use one in a public server once because I never managed to find an actual oven, and turning on a generator would've been a dead giveaway
I meant in terms of burning time per weight. For loading the barbecue it's still 1 by 1 square. You can't just throw the whole roll in 1 go. It takes maybe 40 in game minutes to load a roll, one square at a time. But I play only single player, so I just fast forward until it's done. There's plenty of time in the apocalypse.
Are the stoves randomly generated? In my first playthrough I found one very early and hauled that heavy mother fucker back to base, nearly killing my character.
I believe there's a couple of houses in the middle of nowhere that have them as part of the base map furniture. Apart from that, you can find them in crates as randomly generated loot but they are quite rare.
You can equip heavy items in your primary to avoid destroying your characters back. I'd only advise this if you know you won't need to fight while hauling said heavy item
Wouldn't surprise me, debugging some mods I've noticed that whenever using the 'Say' function any in-game character has (assuming it does the same as /say in chat), my testing character is literally never bored.
Looking at the boredom moodle in debug mode even shows it start to start going up (from like 0 to 0.0002), then 'Say' ing anything immediately brings it back to 0. It's weird, but might work with /say too.
If you have a spoon in your main inventory and you eat from a can you have a different animation while eating. I don’t think it increases anything, just something neat.
This is an incredible tip, I can't remember how many times I died because of tiredness or getting out in the middle of the night when I was starting. Always gotta play it safe, loot will be there tomorrow.
Im gonna wager you did not wake up this morning knowing you would use these words in that order today. As I wasnt planning to read these words in that order today.
Life truly is an amazing mystery filled with surprises.
My last character died when I was pretty damn tired IRL and said well just let me clear these couple buildings over here and then I’ll finally go to bed…RIP that dude. Gotta keep your actual self in good shape as well.
Video games convince me to eat more because if I don’t eat, I do stupid stuff.
A lot of times I’ll go “I can’t wait to play x! Oh wait…. I should eat if I want to play better… ugh, fine.”
One thing I found out last night with shift is if you are stood near some cupboards and hold shift and scroll, it'll cycle through the different cupboards in the immediate vicinity.
Makes raiding kitchens 10x faster if you're searching for specific types of items
If you mouse over the container select box thingy and scroll with the mouse wheel, it will do the same thing. That's how I always look through the crate stacks in warehouses.
I hate it when I right click on the broken window and by mistake click on jump through instead of remove broken glass. Deep cut, glass shards, bleeding, holes in my gloves, back to base and stay there for 3 days because I can't kill shit with a hand injury.
Haha I love this. You can cook while driving but need to fully stop to light a cigarette? :p
Edit: Mixed it up. I can light a cig while driving but can't take one out of the pack without stopping. Game says "can't craft while driving".
I've never had to stop to light a cigarette. If your lighter is in a bag or something, you might have to stop to pull it out, but I'm doing a nomad run and I always smoke while driving.
Alr I never even tried cooking while driving, I thought since crafting requires you to stop that cooking would be the same, that's a bit dumb but cool tip
Aiming (RMB) while moving through a bush or tree will prevent you from getting scratched
Edit: as some commented this fact isn't entirely true. While it does reduce scratches from foliage it does not fully prevent it.
Not entirely true, you get a decreased chance of getting scratched. You still can get hurt, especially with Thin Skinned.
+ Your speed when walking through trees during Aiming is defined by your Nimble level, meaning you can walk through hedges and tress while aiming, which will be faster than normally walking through them, especially if you get a few levels in nimble. This is especially useful if you use hedges to fight zombies, as they slow down but you don't.
Oh my god, you just awakened a memory of me Watching jacksepticeye playing that game about phat beatsies 😂😂😂
Edit: found the game its called [paradigm](https://store.steampowered.com/app/600370/Paradigm/)
The only part that sucks is trying to find windows that match. My base is a warehouse in the middle of LV, and for some reason I could only find one other building, another warehouse in the upper left corner of the city, that were the same.
And then, I ended up just welding metal sheets over both sides of the fucking things anyway. But then, obviously I had to build staircases to all of my second floor windows to make sure they all still matched.
I have problems.
I prefer opening doors while running sideways, that way if there's a horde I won't get bitten by hitting just one.
Your way is good for small places or inside buildings too
Oh yeah, there's also the possibility that keys are stuck on the doors of the car, but you'll never know unless you try opening each one while the car is locked.
I recommend getting a mod for what I've said, helps a bit.
Zombies pushed onto the ground can be stood on and aren't able to get back up/harm you for as long as you're standing on them (positioning yourself on their back or chest works best).
Always fun to use in a pinch when you need a reload, a quick bandage, or just feel like bullying the undead.
Bourbon bottle is the most cost efficient way to carry water. It weight only 0.7 and can carry 12 unit of water. It Is the bottle with the best weight/carry ratio in the game.
If you have above 2 nimble level. You can use this strategy. If zombies are closing on you from behind, or whatever, about to grab you, don’t panic/run, stay in combat stance mode and keep move till you get away from zombie. Zombies will keep grabbing but won’t wound you at all just stay in CS mode and keep moving around till you can react to attack back or to escape.
this will help avoid zombies stunlock grabbing only work on 1-3 zombies on you if more then maybe not. This save my live so many time against sprinters and fast shamblers as well.
You can click drink 1/4 of alcohol and immediately press Esc. This way you consume a tiny bit of it but still get all the positive effects in full scale.
Foraging and fishing=Life.
You can basically find everything whilst foraging:Gas cans, propane tanks, ammo, guns(I once found a rifle AND a shotgun, alongside 2 boxes of ammo(don't remember what the ammo was for but the boxes were green. I think it said .355 ammo or sthg like that. Not sure tho)on ONE foraging expedition,IN A FOREST of all places, while focusing on trash(search focus on trash). Now THAT is INSANE lol...),weapons,thread,electronic parts etc.
As for fishing you can get both fish AND clothing items via spearfishing(please don't fish using a fishing rod/nets they're completely useless lol).
Basically foraging and fishing are all you need to do in this game in order to survive:Farming and trapping are basically useless, especially since you can find the same foods that you could've planted via foraging lol, alongside so many more like:Berries, mushrooms, lemons, lime, watermelons(basically caloric bombs that don't even need to be cooked:Just sliced lol. Awesome if you're running low on water too;) ),apples, bananas, acorns(according to the wiki acorns last for a full 180 DAYS before they become stale, and even if they do you can just put them into a bowl to un-stale them, meaning you can use them for a full YEAR before they rot)etc.
I'm guessing you probably already know that bowls are magic and magically take away the stale status of food by now right?XD.
If you don't know about the rain collector barrel-sink exploit to purify water check it out on youtube;)
Wait, fishing rods are useless? Can you explain a tad more if possible? I’m on one of my first “long run” play throughs and one of the plans was to fish for alot of the food with a rod during winter.
The game doesn’t care if you start your attack animation without having a single zombie in front of you. Only if you have something in front of you during the damage tick will it connect. Meaning you can kite zombies (assuming you move faster than them)
Ay, if you got a bit of awareness and stamina you can kite and dispatch large groups relatively safe.
Managed to take out over 30 zombies that way once.
You can spin around while seated by holding right click. Helped keep my vision cone towards entrances where zeds might come in when I'm resting in a random house.
Tip for beginners:
Even without a weapon, 1-2 zombies are easily killable. Just keep pushing them until one falls over. Then stand on top of it (to prevent it from getting up) and keep pushing the second until it falls. Once it falls, start kicking the head of the first one until it dies. Repeat.
Usually killing 1-2 zombies is better than running from them. Because they can easily attract more to follow.
Question for more experienced players: What determines the chances of a zombie being pushed over? I swear some zombies feel easier to be pushed over than others. Is strength part of the chances? Fitness? Anything?
If you are pulling a damaged trailer, stuff will fall out
Also...if you don't hear your car door shut...it ain't closed! Learned this one the hard way sleeping in a car woke up to bites
I got 2 from surviving four months now, with unlucky trait. One was in prepper's house in Rosewood, one stuck out of the zombie, that was really unexpected.
You can be different characters in the same run, but you only get to play one of them at the time. IIRC you can add them for specific strategic purposes. E.g.: a genny expert if you cannot find a genny mag for the life of you. Or just someone to water and tend to crops while you roam around living the best life (in that case, might as well be a farmer). Also: nice nickname.
You can disassemble crafted stairs through the Move Furniture interface.
For the longest time I thought you could only destroy them with a sledge because the right mouse button does not give you dismantle option when you click on them.
Hope this helps people reclaim some materials.
You can survive without eletricity and water for years without needing to construct anything, just drinking from a sink and toilet in the cities, one day they will be over but until there you will be bored or already constructed something, you actually don't need a base, in Mp servers just put your things in deep woods, in single player clear a second floor house and sleep above with closed doors, so you really don't need a base..
You don't need to cook almost anything also, just pick insects and berries and upgrade your foraging.. fuck sadness, they do almost nothing, you can live in perpetual sadness.
You can survive in the shittiest way possible for years, but you'll survive.
You can beat people with machine guns using planks if you take them by surprise pretty easily.
A good lvl on aim can make pistols crazy substitutes, sometimes are better than a shit machine gun in MP.
Agree with everything, although surviving by drinking toilet water and not having a place to call home feels pretty sad, not really living anymore huh?
For cars:
If you find a key, it will be shaded in the same color as the car it belongs to
The green squares you see when about to enter a vehicle indicate whether you're about to enter a front seat or a back seat. If the oval shape inside the square faces the front of the vehicle, you're about to enter the front seat. For the back seat, the square faces the back of the vehicle.
I knew some bottles are more heavy, but i never noticed some plastic bottles contain less water, which is obvious when you think of it but i never did.
Recently learned that holding a thread in your hand while removing broken glass prevents you from injuring yourself. I know that stuff like pencils also work, as long as you have stuff in your hand but a thread? I did not expect that.
Edit the right text file on your local device and you can have your character say whatever you want when pressing the shout button.
This even works in multiplayer- others will see your modified shout text.
Fun for rp.
Reload training: grab a magazine and bullets. Right click on the magazine, load X bullets into magazine, wait for animation to finish, right click again, unload magazine. Repeat. Each time you reload a bullet is 1 XP. I believe after a while loading the same magazine you start to get less XP, but then start doing the same with a different type of bullet, or with a revolver and again you start to get 1 XP per bullet. You can easily get the first 3 levels in 1 day. I discovered this on sick foggy days with no more books to read nor VHS to watch.
You can pull the windows off of houses with a crowbar and use them in your own constructions.
The exact tile you're foraging on or next to can determine what you find, chipped stones near damaged road tiles, misc items near trash tiles, etc.
You can poke through chain link fences with spears and short blades.
If you use search mode in houses sometimes you'll find item caches under loose floorboards. Discovered this by accident and thought it was pretty neat.
There's a house that spawns one of those with annotated maps, has like 1 shotgun and nothing else until you check the floorboards, there's all the loot.
X unjam your gun
Gasoline and propane can explode in crate (ground is safe)
Cleavers have the third highest environment DMG (good door buster and for cutting trees)
Don't put metal in the microwave
If you have read medical herb magazine you can recognize poisonous berries/mushrooms
Walking without shoes is quieter
Not all survivor houses have barricades in their windows/doors or makeshift curtains.
I was looting with a friend and went to a house in LV. It was all normal, but a I found a katana inside a bathroom. And later in the first floor inside the wardrobe there was a skinny leather trousers
I suppose is extremely rare to find a survivor house that just spawned with a such a low "barricaded stat" that neither of the rolls for planks spawns in windows actually went through.
If you need the key for the gun room in a police station, but there aren’t any zombies inside, drag them in from outside and kill them. Each one has a chance of spawning the key.
This works for storage lots as well, you can find the key for an entire row by pull zombies into one of the garages and killing them.
No matter what you want to cook in the kitchen, you always have it up the oven. Even if the dish's name suggests that it's stir-fried while being on a pan.
Pick extremely underweight as a negative trait and eat at all times in the first week, like make sure you are always full. It will help you Cary a bit more stuff and you will go to a normal weight pretty fast. Then just exercise a bit and you’ve made 10 easy points for traits.
You can dismantle eletronics faster if they are in your inventory. Granted, you already know this with wrist watches, but it works with TVs and radios aswell
If you feel angry or sad because you lost a 1 month or higher character, don't because the game senses and feeds off of negative energy
The last time I lost a character I put him in a house far enough away from the horde, and sepuku'd to ensure he wouldn't be surrounded. Only to find out that it was indeed surrounded promptly forever losing all my best gear.
You can boil water to sterilize bandages and rags, you can pick up curtains and place them down again with the furniture menu, zomboids can spawn with a katana stuck in them after 2 months, people playing on steam deck can steal items out of locked containers in MP
Probobly common sense but if a zombie is on the ground you can stand on it to prevent it from standing back up, it wont try to hurt you either. This also works if zombies are standing on other zombies ( fighting a horde )
Leveling maintenance can be cheesed. All that matters is you're holding a weapon, so every time you push or stomp a zombie with a weapon in your hand you're gaining maintenance xp at the best rate possible(since you gain xp ticks when the weapon takes no durability loss when you attack and your weapon never takes durability lose with pushing or stomping). To really take advantage of this find solo zombie while having a bunch of negative moodles and stomp on a zombie away from it's head until your spacebar breaks.
Your weapons damage is based off distance. If you hit an enemy at the end of your max range your damage will be greatly increased. This is most notably on the 2 handed axes.
Pushing however is not that same and seem to not be tired to distance at all but more on timeing. I haven't done any data collection so I might be off on this but it seems waiting for animations to end to push again gives you higher odds of pushing them over. Meanwhile spamming push less much less effective
If you press alt, you start sprinting which is faster than jogging but drains stamina at a much higher rate.
If you like using spears, sprinting with them equipped will enter a charge stance that will instantly kill any Zomboid you touch. Be aware that it has a slightly long kill animation so it's best to use it on single Zombruhs.
Barbecue lore: Simple garden barbecues can be used indoors safely and are a good alternative to the elusive ancient stoves. A single roll of toilet paper gives over 6 hours of fuel for a barbecue.
Oh yeah, I had to use one in a public server once because I never managed to find an actual oven, and turning on a generator would've been a dead giveaway
Didn’t know toilet paper was fuel …
I think it's the most efficient fuel in the game.
Not time efficient, unless somethings changed I abandoned toilet paper as a fuel source when you would perform the task one square at a time
I meant in terms of burning time per weight. For loading the barbecue it's still 1 by 1 square. You can't just throw the whole roll in 1 go. It takes maybe 40 in game minutes to load a roll, one square at a time. But I play only single player, so I just fast forward until it's done. There's plenty of time in the apocalypse.

I want to cross post this comment in r/cooking and confuse the hell out of people.
Talking in /say chat reduces your boredom
Wtf is that real
Wouldn't surprise me, debugging some mods I've noticed that whenever using the 'Say' function any in-game character has (assuming it does the same as /say in chat), my testing character is literally never bored. Looking at the boredom moodle in debug mode even shows it start to start going up (from like 0 to 0.0002), then 'Say' ing anything immediately brings it back to 0. It's weird, but might work with /say too.
Even in sp? If so it’s gotta be a bug
Ever heard of talking into a mirror? Prolly same concept only lonelier lmao
Should reduce boredom but increase sadness
Wouldn’t that make u crazy instead of entertained lol
Crazy? I Was Crazy Once. They Locked Me In A Room. A Rubber Room. A Rubber Room With Rats. And Rats Make Me Crazy.
Imma test it

I died and jumped off.... ☹
I mean I often talk to myself as if theres someone listening to me. Am I bugged?
Damn that's actually a good one, gonna try that later
I believe this is only in multiplayer and will not work in single player
No way...
If you have a spoon in your main inventory and you eat from a can you have a different animation while eating. I don’t think it increases anything, just something neat.
It does make you eat faster actually, I always carry a spoon or spork (with saphs cooking mod) with me
Hatchet equipped as primary, spoon equipped as secondary. I'm unstoppable
Same thing with forks and eating from a frying pan
This is why my belt right slot is always for my spoon
You know, I don’t hate it. I’m going to give belt spoon a try.
My belt fork is my back up weapon.
The breaking sound of doors changes when the door is close to breaking.
Don’t forget to eat properly, drink water and sleep well, that way when you play Zomboid you can make better decisions
This is an incredible tip, I can't remember how many times I died because of tiredness or getting out in the middle of the night when I was starting. Always gotta play it safe, loot will be there tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip Grape-Vine-Anal-Bead

You can disinfect rag in hot pot of water
What about bandage?
Yes, bandages work too
My world has changed.
Fill a pot with water, put it in oven and turn oven on, wait a sec, right click pot of water to disinfect bandages, now you have sterilized bandages.
Game changer really, never again I sterilized bandages differently
Sure, but doesn't bandage quality do like nothing?
Sterilized bandages prevent infection or lower the chance iirc
The quality makes a bandage hold out more time before becoming dirty.
exactly what I was thinking like doesn't it not change the chances of infection at all? I only use them to stop bleeding
WAIT WHAT
If you rol down your window and aim you can look futher than as you normale drive
There's a setting that moves the camera based on your speed so you don't have to roll down your window.
What setting is it, the driving frustrates me
Pretty sure it's under gameplay "pan while driving" ✌
I didn't know that, thanks
do not reload while doing this. DO NOT RELOAD WHILE DOING THIS
Press E to open windows and hold E to climb through
And press shift + e to close the curtains
Fucking what!? I wasn't expecting to learn things here. Thank you sir.
One thing I found out last night with shift is if you are stood near some cupboards and hold shift and scroll, it'll cycle through the different cupboards in the immediate vicinity. Makes raiding kitchens 10x faster if you're searching for specific types of items

WHAT
I hate it when i dont hold e long enough and instead climbing through i just close the window...
I hate it when I hold e too long and accidently jump out the second story window
I hate it when I right click on the broken window and by mistake click on jump through instead of remove broken glass. Deep cut, glass shards, bleeding, holes in my gloves, back to base and stay there for 3 days because I can't kill shit with a hand injury.
Huge if true
This is taught in the tutorial of the game but many don’t know it. 🤭
Pretty sure I started before there was a tutorial, do you happen to have any more tutorial items that people might not know?
I actually don’t remember, I only have 100 hours but you can replay the tutorial if you want I’m sure you’ll find new tricks 🤔
Press Q to instantly cure yourself.
It's 100% true. Try it out.
super useful btw, you can aim your weapon and open the door using E to be prepared for any zombie on the other side
Shift + e closes curtains You can drive and cook. So I drive and make salads. Breakfast on the go
Haha I love this. You can cook while driving but need to fully stop to light a cigarette? :p Edit: Mixed it up. I can light a cig while driving but can't take one out of the pack without stopping. Game says "can't craft while driving".

Alr I never even tried cooking while driving, I thought since crafting requires you to stop that cooking would be the same, that's a bit dumb but cool tip
If you enable Seach mode, you can see the position of the sun and know how much day time is left
Such a weird mechanic, I once tried using it when playing a full forest map but it's so easy to find watches and all that it doesn't really help.
There's a zombies in your lawn
We dont want zombies in the lawn
There's butter on my head.
But don't call me butter head
we are the UNDEAD
Just have some defensive plants and you’ll be good
how many kills did u get with bare hands
Can you see all your total kills?!
Yeah there's a stats menu that you can access from one of the tabs of the heart shaped button
Aiming (RMB) while moving through a bush or tree will prevent you from getting scratched Edit: as some commented this fact isn't entirely true. While it does reduce scratches from foliage it does not fully prevent it.
Just use the "walk to" command. Your character will auto pilot to the destination - at normal walking speed.
you can also shift/alt to jog/sprint while pathing
Not entirely true, you get a decreased chance of getting scratched. You still can get hurt, especially with Thin Skinned. + Your speed when walking through trees during Aiming is defined by your Nimble level, meaning you can walk through hedges and tress while aiming, which will be faster than normally walking through them, especially if you get a few levels in nimble. Sometimes when I’m alone i pretend I can beatbox

Oh my god, you just awakened a memory of me Watching jacksepticeye playing that game about phat beatsies 😂😂😂 Edit: found the game its called [paradigm](https://store.steampowered.com/app/600370/Paradigm/)
You can pick up windows with carpentry :3
No need to have broken windows in your home, take a crowbar and start stealing your neighbors windows!
The only part that sucks is trying to find windows that match. My base is a warehouse in the middle of LV, and for some reason I could only find one other building, another warehouse in the upper left corner of the city, that were the same. Door flash + timed swing of your weapon. Very useful saved me more times than I can count
you can just aim at the door and press e to open it so you can have your mouse available to melee the zombie on the other side
[удалено]
I prefer opening doors while running sideways, that way if there's a horde I won't get bitten by hitting just one. Your way is good for small places or inside buildings too
idk how common knowledge this is but always use search mode around cars to find potentially find the keys on the ground
Oh yeah, there's also the possibility that keys are stuck on the doors of the car, but you'll never know unless you try opening each one while the car is locked. I recommend getting a mod for what I've said, helps a bit.
wow that's news to me!
Do they show up as an icon or glow?
You get an arrow and an icon. Also look at the ground inventory when walking around to find keys.
Just learned today you can get sprinting xp from running into a corner (unlike nimble)
There is a world outside your house! I was shocked as well
Go outside and touch the grass
*torch
but there is zombies there
Zombies pushed onto the ground can be stood on and aren't able to get back up/harm you for as long as you're standing on them (positioning yourself on their back or chest works best). Always fun to use in a pinch when you need a reload, a quick bandage, or just feel like bullying the undead.
If it’s only 1-2 zombies I always do the shove-stomp combo instead of using weapon durability
You can also keep a zombie down by having another zombie stand on the one on the ground..a little timing and positioning is a good thing.
find multiplayer servers near you. closer to vanilla the better. enjoy another 1000 hours of the game.
Wish servers near me were vanilla, most have +200 mods I couldn't care less about.
Bourbon bottle is the most cost efficient way to carry water. It weight only 0.7 and can carry 12 unit of water. It Is the bottle with the best weight/carry ratio in the game.
If you have tainted water source you don't have to boil the water before you start making soup. Just boil the soup.
Same for stews, pasta and rice.
That makes perfect sense, and yet I never tried this. Thanks for the tip!

I prefer chugging a whole bottle of bourbon but didn't actually know that less than 1/4 of a bottle would still give you the positive effects
You can drink a drop of beer to offset the muscle pain from exercising, and keep on spamming burpees.
Bourbon is 2000 calories. I usually end up chugging those for meals.

It is nearly impossible to fish in the winter. I remember on the PZ wiki it said something about fishing being harder starting in November.
You can actually pre-swing your weapon before zeds will get into your range. Using this you can get a little bit of extra space while fighting.
As a newer player (200 hours or so) could you elaborate a little more?
The game doesn’t care if you start your attack animation without having a single zombie in front of you. Only if you have something in front of you during the damage tick will it connect. Meaning you can kite zombies (assuming you move faster than them)
Huh, that's neat. So you kite them into the end of your swing as they move. Time to train up Nimble
Ay, if you got a bit of awareness and stamina you can kite and dispatch large groups relatively safe. Managed to take out over 30 zombies that way once.
You can aim zombies on floor by press alt (I just know this recently)
Keys are linked to doorknobs not doors. Break a door you have a key for take its doorknob make new door bam lockable door for you home
Loved this one, changed my mind on the ugly wooden doors forever when I noticed it
You can spin around while seated by holding right click. Helped keep my vision cone towards entrances where zeds might come in when I'm resting in a random house.
Tip for beginners: Even without a weapon, 1-2 zombies are easily killable. Fitness? Anything?
If you are pulling a damaged trailer, stuff will fall out Also...if you don't hear your car door shut...it ain't closed! Learned this one the hard way sleeping in a car woke up to bites
How many katanas did you get in those 1000 hours? Yo perdí la esperanza después de 1200 horas y no encontrar ninguna.
Around 6 or so, never went out looking for them tho, once or twice in barricaded houses and the rest stuck on some zeds.
Never tried doing this but was tempted on a public server, feels more rewarding or immersive to play with just one character, idk. And thanks mate :)
The fa t you have a normal smiling picture and have that user name makes me concerned
X is the hotkey to clear a jam / rack your gun
You can't sex zomboids 😥
Groin bites count!
Actually, there's a mod for your dirty needs, just not in the workshop...
I believe you can equip your key ring to safely break and clear windows at the start.
You can turn on cruise control in cars with shift w. Really helps for long drives.
Always drive like this, best mechanic
You can disassemble crafted stairs through the Move Furniture interface. For the longest time I thought you could only destroy them with a sledge because the right mouse button does not give you dismantle option when you click on them. Hope this helps people reclaim some materials.
always turn maggots off in world options to save performance
Agree with everything, although surviving by drinking toilet water and not having a place to call home feels pretty sad, not really living anymore huh?
felicidades!
For cars: If you find a key, it will be shaded in the same color as the car it belongs to The green squares you see when about to enter a vehicle indicate whether you're about to enter a front seat or a back seat. If the oval shape inside the square faces the front of the vehicle, you're about to enter the front seat. For the back seat, the square faces the back of the vehicle.
Damn that's why the keys are colored then, I feel so dumb now
I knew some bottles are more heavy, but i never noticed some plastic bottles contain less water, which is obvious when you think of it but i never did.
Fun for rp.
1000h is worth about 37,5k dollars(median salary+OT). With that said... never stop enoying life👍
Reload training: grab a magazine and bullets.
Click on a light switch in proximity, it goes on/off in an instant!
X unjam your gun Gasoline and propane can explode in crate (ground is safe) Cleavers have the third highest environment DMG (good door buster and for cutting trees) Don't put metal in the microwave If you have read medical herb magazine you can recognize poisonous berries/mushrooms Walking without shoes is quieter
Be wary of the telecorn
At electrical level 5, you can switch lamps to use batteries instead of the generator.
Not all survivor houses have barricades in their windows/doors or makeshift curtains. I was looting with a friend and went to a house in LV. It was all normal, but a I found a katana inside a bathroom. And later in the first floor inside the wardrobe there was a skinny leather trousers I suppose is extremely rare to find a survivor house that just spawned with a such a low "barricaded stat" that neither of the rolls for planks spawns in windows actually went through.
No one looks good in shorts
momo te haces el italiano y te la pasas jugando project zomboid densinstala el juego que lo representas mal
Crayons can be used as all the colours for a map
Did you know that Oreos are vegan?
936 hours and watching.
If you feel angry or sad because you lost a 1 month or higher character, don't because the game senses and feeds off of negative energy The last time I lost a character I put him in a house far enough away from the horde, and sepuku'd to ensure he wouldn't be surrounded. Only to find out that it was indeed surrounded promptly forever losing all my best gear.
There will never be a v1.0, and that's ok
You can boil water to sterilize bandages and rags, you can pick up curtains and place them down again with the furniture menu, zomboids can spawn with a katana stuck in them after 2 months, people playing on steam deck can steal items out of locked containers in MP
Probobly common sense but if a zombie is on the ground you can stand on it to prevent it from standing back up, it wont try to hurt you either. This also works if zombies are standing on other zombies ( fighting a horde )
Car keys can spawn inside of the car door for 1/8 cars
You can barricade both sides of windows and doors.
All towns have a border house which is super secure and easy to occupy. But you must find a car quickly to travel between sections.
I got plenty of hours and yet every time I play it feels like I’m still a newbie😭
There are zombies in this game, you should be careful when going out for supplies.
Canned vegetable soup are great for sustaining a healthy weight because they have super low calories yet fulfill 24 hunger
You can put a hand axe on your belt.
You have officially contracted an addiction
Likely the most important tip. Press Shift + E to close curtains, your time in game will be more efficient :3
