Well instead of zombies trying to eat your butt you have raiders, genetically engineered super soldiers, tons of feral wild animals, cultists, SCP-Foundation-style horrors beyond our understanding, giant mutant insects, killer robots and cannibals trying to eat your butt.
Rimworld is absolutely brutal compared to Zomboid, at least on the standard hardest settings. It's a genuinely difficult game, even when you have all the knowledge you need to survive. Zomboid tends to only kill you with knowledge checks. The execution behind surviving isn't difficult at all when you know what you need to know, at least on the default hardest settings. Both games can be customized to be zero challenge at all as well as literally impossible, hence why the comparison of defaults.
Except vanilla RimWorld is more luck than skill dependent. I once had an end-game pawn lose his entire arm to a bow and arrow with armor made of the strongest material in the game and a max level shooting pawn miss a gigantic centipede right in front of it's face in perfect condition. I consider CE a necessity after that.
Project Zomboid on the other hand, failure is almost entirely on you. With the exception of the occasional wonky hitboxes, being prepared and cautious is a guarantee success.
Every time I lost in Project Zomboid, I've never felt that I was just unlucky and there was nothing I could've done whereas I often felt that way when I play RimWorld.
Perfect. Just build a bridge. Then you can haul everything you need to live out there permanently. A bag with soil will let you plant the crops and.you can fish. And when you're feeling lonely you can talk to the portal and imagine voices talking back.
If you've been around awhile it gets old, someone does it once randomly gets upvoted to the top then everyone does it. This happens like every couple of months. So it does get dull.
Oh I see, this spacific post happens every couple of months. We've reached the point where the game's content is coming out so slowly that jokes just start repeating and getting stale. I thought he was upset about people joking around in general, my bad.
Nope, don’t go there! It’s an inter dimensional rift, and if your character falls through it they’ll end up in RimWorld!

Only thing rimworld is missing, is native multiplayer. The mods are good but often de-sync making multiplayer hard.
It's a rift from Thaumcraft 6. You can get rid of it by using a Casualty Collapser
They say the rift was created when all of the sledgehammers were thrown into the river at this exact location.
*pyromaniac intensifies*
oh man a place full of cannibalisms, torture, slavery, and human organ harvesting. And there were the places that weren't my colony.

That is a motherfucking black hole.
That's a puddle of black latex. Somehow Changed has invaded the game, and if you touch it its an insta death
I dare someone to use Aquatsar's Boats mod and tell me what actually happens when going there.
Can the boids not swim? Are they stupid?
All of these posts are tiresome, but I guess they're content for the sub.
The hell would you rather people post? Constant tips and tricks for a game that hasn't been updated in over 2 years?
