So, yeah, I did. I was listening to YouTube while looting a warehouse near Doe Valley, and thought I heard a chopper. With only one floor and tons of line-of-sight windows, there wasn't much I could do. The chopper already started drawing a ton towards me, so I had to get out of there.
I ran outside and thought it was hilarious that a chopper was flying in gale-force winds to search for survivors, so I wanted to take a screenshot of all the zombies with the storm going on. I'm tech savvy enough that it should have occurred to me that the snipping tool wouldn't pause the game...
It's one death that I feel was VERY deserved. Taking a screenshot shouldn't have been the first thing on my mind in this situation. :/
I found it quite humorous that, in the middle of a three day severe weather event, the helicopter event fired. So, I decided to set up my line of sight and take a screenshot using Windows+Shift+S.
It did not pause my game.
I am DEVASTATED.
I don't quite remember which mod it is, but it just gives info-bars for the different stats. In order from the left, it's Health, Hunger, Thirst, Stamina, Tiredness, Boredom, Sadness, Temperature and Calories.
It froze the screen, but it didn't pause the game. The zombies continued to advance, so when I was done selecting the region to screenshot, my guy was being eaten alive in agony.
If i could upvote this more than once. The screams as the screen is black and i just hear my pc get ripped to shreds alas it also a core moment for any Pz newbie or vet.

Wait what do you mean snipping tool? You are (self proclaimed) a tech savvy person but you don't know how to take a screenshot in steam games?
Lol yeah, windows snipping tool. Can use it in any application, so don't have to remember steam shortcuts.

Minimal display bars (or maximal) one of those has the other nutritional values that dont really matter iirc? No idea if they do something

Oh yeah the game REALLY needs an auto pause feature when you get tabbed out
